So the House of Mouse has been chosen to host the return of the legendary event, the Triwizard Tournament. For those who do not know, the Triwizard Tournament brings together three schools, two Total Drama teams, and sixteen contestants, for a series of magical sports and racing contests. For this House of Mouse season all remaining 11 Total Drama contestants are being elected to compete. Now let me be clear. If chosen, you must work together as a team, or stand alone. […] Eternal glory. That's what awaits a musical band who wins this year's Triwizard Tournament. But to do this, all 16 bands must compete each other in four rounds, and the 11 racers must compete in three races. Three extraordinary dangerous tasks.
—Albus Dumbledore announcing the hosting of the Tournament by the House of Mouse and the New Republic, [2]

The 2015 Triwizard Tournament was the revival of a magical contest held in 2015 between the three largest schools of Europe: House of Mouse, Canterlot High School, and East High, each school being represented by 16 musical contestants.
Selected participants compete in four rounds and three races — traditionally judged by the Jedi Council and Buster Moon of the competing schools — designed to test magical ability, songs, sports, racing, intelligence, and courage. Champions competed for the honour and glory of winning the Tournament, for the Triwizard Cup, as the main prize.
Prelude[]
Revival of the Tournament[]
![]() |
Oh, details! Since the death of Cedric Diggory in 1995, we and the rest of the Jedi Council has agreed that they will revive the tournament as a new age of the Jedi, thanks to their new Jedi friends and many lightsaber skill. After much meetings and conferences, the Jedi Council and the Senate has concluded that for their extreme stunts, auto-racing skills and Jedi lightsabering skills, all contestants under the age of 14 will allow to put forth their names on the Triwizard Tournament. This decision is final.
—Buster Moon regarding the tournament, [2]

Buster Moon, announcing the Triwizard Tournament
The 2015 revival was the culmination of the music-linked work of Buster Moon, the owner of the Moon Theater. However, due to the newest and cheerful nature of the Tournament, it was decided that some changes were to be made to the rules, with the main one being that all student under the age of fourteen was allowed to enter or compete.[2]
The Tournament preparations were shrouded in mystery, although Cornelius Fudge was obliged to inform the Muggle Prime Minister that the Ministry would be importing several dragons from Romania, as well as the Boonta Eve Classic circuit, for use in the competition.[2]
Rules and customs[]

As you know, sixteen bands compete in the tournament, all from each of the participating schools. They will be marked on how well they perform each of the Tournament tasks and the musical band with the highest score total at the end of the finals match will win the Triwizard Cup. The champions will be chosen by an impartial selector. Observe: the Goblet of Fire. Anybody wishing to submit themselves to the musical tournament, simply write your names after your auditions to the piece of parchment, and throw it in the flames before this hour on October 1st. Do not do so lightly. If you all chosen, there's no turning back. As of this moment, the 2015 Triwizard Tournament has begun.
—Dumbledore explains the rules and the selection process, [2]

Each competing school was allowed 16 contestants to represent them during the Tournament. Students wishing to participate wrote their names and the school they attended on a piece of parchment and entered it into the Goblet of Fire. The goblet was an impartial judge, and selected what it considered to be the best students from each school. At the appointed time, the Goblet ejected the names, making each selected student the official Champion for their school. Each selected Champion was then bound by a magical contract to see the Tournament through to the end.[2]
Each Tournament consisted of three racing tasks and four musical rounds designed to test the Champions' courage, songs, sports, intelligence, resourcefulness, and magical ability.[2] These tasks were exceedingly dangerous and differed from year to year.[2]
Champions received scores in each of the tasks from a panel of judges, consisting of the principals and Buster Moon of the competing schools.[2]
Each Champions was supposed to work together and stand alone during the Tournament, receiving outside help from anyone, including friends and teachers. Cheating was frowned upon, though it had been known to take place several times during the history of the Tournament, and some people believed it to be a traditional part of the event.[2]
The Yule Ball, held on October 25th night, was a traditional part of the Tournament.[2] The ball included a feast, and a formal dance where the Champions and their partners led the host school in the quarterfinals dancing.[2] Students old enough to attend were allowed to bring a friend. Students that were too young to attend might attend if invited by a student old enough to attend the ball.[2]

On September 1st 2015, Hogwarts Headmaster Albus Dumbledore announced to the House of Mouse that they would be playing host to the Triwizard Tournament. The delegation from Canterlot High arrived in a large carriage pulled by horses. The carriages are blue and have intricate designs on the outer shell, such as the Canterlot coat of arms. The delegation of Canterlot High pupils was led by their Headmistress, Principal Celestia. Shortly after their arrival, the delegation from East High School, under the leadership of the basketball player Troy Bolton and the beautiful Sharpay Evans, arrived in a parade.[2]
A feast to welcome the new arrivals was held in the House of Mouse stage, where Professor Dumbledore introduced the main host of the tournament — Buster Moon — to the assembled students and crowd. After explaining the rules of the Tournament, Dumbledore unveiled both the Goblet of Fire and the Triwizard Cup. Students would have until October 1st to enter their names. In agreement with the new rules of auditioning teenage students entering the Tournament, Buster Moon drew an Age Line around the Goblet of Fire.[2]
On October 1st, the House of Mouse was abuzz with rumours and speculation over who would enter the Tournament. All of the Canterlot High delegation entered, and so, did all the East High students.[2]
Selection of the Champions[]

To ensure that no thirteen-year old student yields to temptation, I will be drawing an Age Line around the Goblet of Fire once it has been placed in the entrance hall. Nobody under the age of fourteen will be able to cross this line.

During the night, after holding auditions with a turnout greater than expected, Buster picks Gwen Dracula, Duncan, The Rainbooms,Molly Wei, The Dazzlings, Trixie and the Illusions, Alvin And The Chipmunks, Duck Dodgers, Cutie Mark Crusaders, Lyra Heartstrings and Sweetie Drops, Zoey and Ursula, Bulk Biceps, Snips and Snails, Strawberry Shortcake Viktor Krum, Octavia Melody, Fleur Delacour and Photo Finish to be in the tournament. All sixteen Champions were given to receive further instructions.[2]
First Task[]
![]() |
The first task is designed to test your daring, so we are not going to be telling you what it is. The first task will take place on October 18th, in front of the other students, Australian crowd and the panel of judges. The champions are permitted to ask for or accept help of any kind from their teachers and friends to complete the tasks in the tournament. The racers will face the first challenge with their vehicles and star-racers. They will receive information about the second task when the first is over. You will all depart to Australia first thing in the morning. So, get some sleep, and dream big dreams!
—Description of the first task, [2]

The First Task of the Triwizard Tournament took place on October 18th, and the objective was to retrieve a golden egg that was being guarded by a dragon — the egg would be located within a clutch of real dragon eggs, and cross the finish lane in Sydney Opera House.[2]
Yule Ball[]
- Main article: Yule Ball
![]() |
The Yule Ball has been a tradition of the Triwizard Tournament since its debut. On Halloween or Christmas Eve night, we and our guests gather in the House of Mouse Main Stage for a night of well-fashioned frivolity. As representatives of the host school, l expect each and every one of you to put your best foot forward. And l mean this literally, because the Yule Ball is, first and foremost, singing and dance.

Yule Ball
On October 25th night, the Yule Ball was held. The delegations from Canterlot High and East High joined their House of Mouse hosts in a feast, followed by a formal dance. The Ball was also attended by several New Republic officials, including Buster Moon and Mon Mothma. In addition to the dance, the quarterfinalists face each other by performing a number of their songs.
Third Task[]
Background[]
![]() |
ln the race, you'll find no dragons or ghosts of the night. lnstead, you'll face something even more challenging. You see, people change in the Boonta Eve race. Take four laps if you can. But be very wary, you may just crash yourselves out of the race along the way.
—Albus Dumbledore, [2]
|
![]() |
Exactly two days before the Third Task, the ten All-Stars racers were brought to Rivendell, where they received a briefing on what the task was. Molly, Twilight Sparkle and Bilbo Baggins were surprised to discover that the third task was the Boonta Eve Podrace. The racers were informed that the objective of the Task was to navigate the Boonta Eve circuit, which would be canyons, tunnels and Tusken Raiders. The first racer to cross the finish lane after four laps would be the winner.[2]
The next morning on October 31st, Halloween Day, Molly met with Wallflower Blush in the rebel hangar just near the House of Mouse. When Wallflower announced that she was betting on Courtney, she was surprised when Molly claimed that she would take up the bet, hoping to wager her Whizzing Arrow against Gwen and Duncan. Wallflower objected, as the value of no podracer was equal to that of two racers. Pressing on, Molly suggested that Gwen alone be wagered. Wallflower was hesitant, and so she produced Watto's chance cube, letting green denote Duncan, and blue denote Gwen. She rolled the cube, but, to Wallflower's surprise and embarrassment, it landed on blue. Frustrated, she departed Molly's company, confident that she would not win the race anyway. She then told Courtney and tells her that she isn't singing with her in the opera theater show because of how she treated her enemies and she asked Bilbo and Dumbledore for her old racing job back and has to work, causing Courtney to find Dodgers at once.[2]

The Race[]
When the start lights flashed green, all pilots hit the thrusters and sped away, except for two, Molly Wei and Speedy Gonzales. Molly managed to get her Whizzing Arrow III working and soon followed the rest of the racers. In the meanwhile, Gwen Dracula had pushed Mawhonic's podracer into the cliff wall, destroying his pod. Mawhonic survived the crash and he afterwards retiring once more from professional racing. Molly moved up by overtaking Wan Sandage, Lucy Heartfilia, Dud Bolt, and Duncan. As the racers approached Laguna Cave, Molly and Zoey raced past Boles Roor and Kimberly moving up behind Courtney and Fievel Mousekewitz. In the Laguna Caves, Zoey passes both Molly and Fievel by using KITT's Rocket Fire button. Exiting the cave, Molly's Whizzing Arrow was shot at by Tusken Raiders. Meanwhile Speedy Gonzales's pod further malfunctioned as the power couplings deactivated. This resulted in the pod flying apart as the engines tore off in multiple directions, grounding Speedy. In the meanwhile, the first six podracers passed the finish: Gwen, The Chipettes, Courtney, Ody Mandrell, Lindsay, and Aldar Beedo. Mandrell took a pit stop in which his pit droid DUM-4 destroyed his left engine.[2]
Outside the Moon Opéra House, as Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck walked down the hall to the throne, they find themselves captured by Director Scarlett in a burlap sack. Minnie squeezed her head out of the bag and screamed, "this situation is outrageous." Scarlett reveals her nefarious plan to rule. While the Dazzlings and Wallflower Blush reveal themselves to her, Scarlett orders the Beagle Boys to hide the chest with the two princesses in it.[2]
In the second lap, Courtney used an oil slick to roast the engines of Duncan, causing Duncan to lose control and crash into the oil slicks and out of the race. Meanwhile, the heroic Musketeers trio makes their way to the Moon Opera house, and Pluto and Spike leads them to the Princess in the chest. When Zoey and Olivia Flaversham try to bolt out to the exit, they were stopped by the three musketeers' arrival and battle them onstage. When the musketeers caught the chest, they try to make their getaway upstage and come to a dead end. They get themselves on the cardboard smiling, crescent moon and lowers them back to the ground. Mr. Hyde jumps on the cardboard smiling sun and pulls them back up a little. After a tug of war with the chest, they dropped it. Mickey runs back to the stage and painfully caught the chest.[2]
In the third lap, Molly was behind the Chipettes, and when she tried to go around them, Brittany and the Chipettes went in the same direction, blocking her. This happened again twice until they came to a ramp, where Molly seized the chance and boosted in mid-air, getting past the Chipettes. She also avoided being overtaken by Courtney when she bumped her Tie Advanced to her Whizzing Arrow, but she getting past Courtney backwards. After passing Aldar Beedo, Molly moved up to third place, behind Strawberry Shortcake. Gwen sideswipes Strawberry in a desperate attempt to avoid finishing ahead of her, sending Strawberry's pod into a terrible rollover crash. Strawberry crashed, and a piece of wreckage took out one of Molly's cables. Molly was overtaken by The Chipettes, Courtney, Lindsay, Heather and Fievel Mousekewitz while she fixed the cable. She then raced by the five that had overtaken her. Now behind Gwen Dracula, Molly sped through the Canyon Dune Turn, where her Arrow took another shot from the Tuskens. Lindsay and Heather, wasn't so lucky, as their bikes took a hit, causing them to crash. The Tusken Raiders shot Jawas that were picking up some parts from Heather's bike. Gwen attempted to use her flamethrower on Molly, but she avoided it.[2]

Gwen Dracula's Trident vs Whizzing Arrow III.
In the fourth and largest final lap, Molly and Gwen were racing side-by-side, for nearly the entire lap. The Arrow 3 passes Gwen, who uses this distance to prepare her trident attack. At the last second, Molly veers out of the way. The hyper-drive system enables the Arrow 3 to maneuver more easily and travel faster. The Arrow 3 passes Gwen to take the lead again heading into Arch Canyon. The lead was short-lived as Molly was forced to deal with Gwen and Courtney's fighters as they locked in. Courtney readied her guns to fire again and crash her out of the race. However, at the last moment, The Chipettes surprised Courtney by colliding her fighter, sending Courtney crashing into the wall and Molly's Whizzing Arrow was hit by Courtney's Tie. She drops to third as she made on-the-fly repairs. Only one crashed during the fourth lap, like Wan Sandage lost control and crashed into a wayward Sandcrawler. The Rainbooms start to play their Megadeth song over the Dazzlings' song and take on half-pony forms with colors similar to that of the Mane Six's Rainbow Power. Refusing to be stopped, the Dazzlings summon astral versions of their true siren forms and manage to overpower the Rainbooms.[2]
As the Rainbooms fall, Twilight's microphone rolls next to Sunset Shimmer's feet, and Sunset finds new power and, upon removing her jacket, starts to sing. Before long, the rest of the Rainbooms and the Megadeth join her, and their combined magic creates a rainbow shockwave that weakens the Dazzlings and severs their spell over everyone, much to Adagio's disbelief. All the students then join in, and as the Dazzlings look on in shock and horror, the magic coalescing in the sky takes the form of a giant Alicorn that destroys their astral projections as well as their gem pendants.[2]
With their power sources destroyed, the Dazzlings are unable to even sing and re-cast their spell. After getting her engine running, Molly sped forward and caught Gwen before entering the House of Mouse at the Devil's Doorknob. Just as they entered the final miles, Mr. Hyde and the Horned King appeared in an armored truck. The Chipettes decided to stop them and caught up to the truck with their podracer. The Chipettes used a boost to cut the truck loose causing the truck to crash right into the giant robot where all of the spectators watched in awe and surprise. Mr. Hyde and the Horned King unleashes knock-out gas on everyone and turns their attention to Scooby, Mickey and Sunset Shimmer, and torture the Jedi Knights using their Force lightnings. Just as Hideous Hyde Hound was about to kill them, his blow was blocked by the original falcon car, piloted by Owen Garrison in his Blue Falcon costume. They destroyed the hound and the Memory Stone and restores their memories. They knocked out Mr. Hyde and the Horned King as they trying to escape. At the end of the lap, Molly and Gwen are neck and neck and Molly begins to tailgate Gwen, who considers this suicidal. Molly passes Gwen right before they cross the finish line and wins the race. Molly took the victory and was praised as an Triwizard hero.[2]
Molly Wei's triumph[]
![]() |
It's not fair. I was so close, so close of almost killing you all. And I would have won the tournament too, if it weren't for you meddling kids!
—Scarlett as she was taken away, [2]

![]() |
Molly was praised as an actual hero as Papa Mousekewitz shows up glad to see Fievel ok. He explains that the reason he was sneaking off was because he was speaking with a beautiful woman Nora Spinkleton. Mr. Hyde and the Horned King is really Scarlett and Wallflower Blush and after regaining consciousness, Scarlett tells them how it started. Six years ago Sunset succeeds in getting the crown and puts it on, and a dark magic aura transforms her into a demon. Twilight is able to evoke the powers of the Elements of Harmony when they use the magic of friendship to defeat Sunset Shimmer and defeats the Dazzlings, Scarlett and Wallflower, so they were removed from the one thing they loved most: to kill the Jedi Knights.
The only work they could get was doing the conventions and started sharing a booth with Owen and Juniper Montage to save their careers. After three years of hearing Owen learned about the release of the movie about Blue Falcon and when Gwen and Duncan were selected, they came up with their scheme. They used their knowledge of the dark side and special magic powers to create Mr. Hyde, the Horned King costume, the Dazzlings power sources and remote-controlled bats and monster dog, Wallflower used robotic legs to give her her jumping abilities and used smoke screens to disguise her comings and goings. They used knock-out gas on Alastor Moody and put him in the magical truck. The reason why was to divert traffic so the armored car would go down the final lap side-street where they could attack it, the car had the proceeds from all the entrance fees for the convention which was over $1,000,000. Buster Moon shows up and the crowd praises Owen, Mickey and Molly for stopping Mr. Hyde and the Horned King. As Scarlett, the Dazzlings and Wallflower were taken away, Gwen was personally pardoned by the Jedi Council and her fellow Gryffindors. Gimli apologized to her on the Council's behalf, stating they had been wrong to question her love. The Council also stated that the Force worked in mysterious ways and therefore considered Gwen's ordeal in hindsight as being her great trial, making her a greater Jedi and proving herself worthy of the title of Jedi Knight. However, the events surrounding her relationship and love had severely shaken Gwen's faith in the Jedi. To the surprise of everyone involved, she began to sob and cry, refusing to accept the Jedi Council and Molly's invitation to rejoin the New Republic and the house of Gryffindor. Gwen instead left to Transylvania to be all alone in peace for herself.[2]
Mavis and her father chased after her, Molly announces her choice to leaves them to deal with the Moon Opera House alone. Molly informs Dumbledore of their encounter with Mal, which Dumbledore describes as Priori Incantatem. Dumbledore and Molly discuss the prophecy, and Molly discovers that in the end, only one can live, and that she and Mal are destined to fight each other one last time.[2]
