Apep is a minor character in Mortal Kombat: Deception.
Apep can be seen in the beginning of Deception's Konquest Mode. He is Shujinko's guide and one of Bo' Rai Cho's students who also gives you several hints. He is not seen again after you clear the village portion of Konquest.
Mortal Kombat: The Return of the Dragon King[]
Apep pretty much functioned the same way as he did in Deception, always leading Shujinko to the numerous classes throughout the village and being tutored by Bo' Rai Cho. It wasn't long before Shujinko kompleted all of them leading up to the School of Martial Arts, the same place Liu Kang and Kung Lao trained in before the Academy. He does still practice Tai Chi before he left the adventurer to his own devices.

- In Mortal Kombat X, Apep is mentioned in the "Fallen Friend" premiere tower where Apep was killed by Quan Chi, and Bo' Rai Cho has to free his soul.
- In Mortal Kombat 11's Krypt has you control a character, who currently, is officially known as "Descendant of Apep".
- He is possibly named after Apep, the Egyptian god of chaos.
