Arctika is an icy tundra region located in Earthrealm. It is a location in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon's Konquest mode and is also an unlockable arena to select in versus mode.
This snowy and icy region is home to the Lin Kuei, the Tengu Clan, and the Temple of Delia.
There are many traps set in Arctika such as spinning blades and hammers that send the player flying into spikes.
This arena is set in desolate bitter ice. It is rumored that those who were unlucky enough to find themselves lost in Arctika's vastness would eventually be hunted down and killed by members of a mysterious clan. You battle Sonya and Rain in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon Konquest in this arena.

Fujin was found there via a large gale just outside the Lin Kuei headquarters. He met up with Sub-Zero, Smoke, and their new prodigy, Frost, who recently won a small tournament determining the future of honorable Lin Kuei warriors. The trio were enlisted to rendezvous on Shang's Island, along with Hanzo, to regroup with their distant allies and pact together to put a stop to the Deadly Alliance and secure Liu Kang's soul. However, Smoke decided to stay and hold the fort.
About a week later, the cryomancers returned victoriously! Kuai announced that Frost was proven to be a promising apprentice. The denizens could've sworn they actually embraced and kissed!
Return of the Dragon King[]
In the Lin Kuei Temple, the guards alerted Kuai there was a girl seeking asylum which to their surprise, she turned out to be a demon defecting from the Netherrealm. Her name was Sareena who escaped from a brutal scrimmage against Noob Saibot; she reluctantly stated he was Kuai's brother, Bi-Han, that she had met several years before the first MK tournament. She offered to open a portal into Outworld and then to the Netherrealm, where her last rip was near runes involving the resurrection of Onaga and his undead army. To the trio's dismay, the Deadly Alliance was successful despite being slain. Still, Kuai took on the mission. While Smoke and Frost actually stayed in Outworld to defend Nightwolf and fend off their enemies.
Final Kombat[]
Taven wound up at the frigid North Pole by Orin's portal as he searched for Delia's temple. He found himself in a few scrimmages with the Tengu klan. He was able to plow thru them until he encountered an Ice Beast. The Lin Kuei scouts noticed the bouts, and Smoke shot another yeti with one of his rockets. They assured he'd take Taven into base amongst the monstrous blizzard. The guardsmen alerted the Grandmaster and addressed him, although they weren't familiar with the place, and the ethernet could only do so much... After a hearty meal, he was introduced to Frost and Sareena before the storm cleared, and a monolith stood. Taven, thinking it was familiar, went to it and transported inside another obelisk while the rest of the gang were outside.
Noticing lightning, they thought it was snow thunder before Raiden approached. He requested the regroup of Kuai, Frost, Smoke, and Sareena to which he sent the latter to the new Goddess of Light, Ashrah. Taven eventually returned and the ninjas escorted him to the temple. He fought off Rain and avoided some lethal traps before they were targeted by archers and flaming cannons. They bested them and Taven gained entry. He retrieved the Ice Scepter and some more relics until he was confronted by another Sub-Zero. He was confounded, although he introduced himself as Bi-Han. Taven mentioned he saw his brother back at the base, in which Bi-Han was intrigued. He recognized the dragon tattoo which matched the engraving, and taking a wild guess, Taven unlocked the chamber revealing thick armor. Bi-Han went on the search and the ninjas were petrified of the rise of Sektor, his new klan, and the Red Dragons; they informed they had their base in Charred Mountain, and Taven returned to Orin.
Kuai, Smoke and Frost returned to the Lin Kuei base after the summons by Raiden to make preparations for Armageddon, until Bi-Han was escorted there, much to their astonishment! Kuai was reluctant to accept him no longer his wraith self, although Frost was the most enthusiastic, and Smoke was more casual. Bi-Han was impressed how much the Lin Kuei changed, even overthrowing the cyber initiative and enlisting Sareena to their ranks. Frost believed the bros' combined efforts can extinguish Blaze's fatal flames even with the Dragon Medallion. Bi-Han eventually accepted since it's not another irritating bounty-hunting mission and as long Scorpion doesn't complicate things.

- This place was featured in the sprite animation, Mortal Kombat: Reconciliation, in which Sub-Zero/Kuai Liang, Frost, Smoke, the Lin Kuei, and corrupt Grandmaster were stationed in, contrary to China.
