Articuno (フリーザー, Furiizaa) is an Ice/Flying-typeLegendary Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It is part of the Kanto Legendary Birds, along with Zapdos and Moltres. In Generation VIII, exclusive to the Crown Tundra, Articuno has a Galarian Form that is a Psychic/Flying type.
Articuno assisted Seel, Dewgong, Enzo and AndrAIa as they mauled a Santa user. It was also involved in the Net War as a brief summon within the Smash System.
Articuno first hatched after several years in Hyrule; possibly from Mewtwo finding and sending an egg there. It was still frozen within the Ice Cavern until it was saved by Link and Zelda II. It was also used there and in the Water Temple for aerial assaults. It soon became one of Ruto's guardians and was also chosen to aid the Birds in the Spirit Temple, particularly Twinrova. It gifted Link the Ice Arrows which were hardly useful, even though it had a rough time due to Koume's lava spells. It then became a member for the Gerudo/Pokemon army on account it was genderless like all Legendaries.
