Ash Ketchum (jap. Satoshi) is the main character of the anime series, Pokémon, and the manga series "Ash and Pikachu", as well as in "The Electric Tale of Pikachu." He is usually accompanied by his first Pokémon, Pikachu.
In one fanfic series, he is the brother of Sherry Birkin, Sarah Bryant, and Jacky Bryant.
In an adaption of one of the Paldea games, he serves as Kimberly's spiritual guide.
Currently, the whereabouts of his father are unknown, while his mother Delia resides in Pallet Town, their hometown. Since his 10th birthday, on which he became a Pokémon trainer, Ash has been travelling throughout the world. His goal is to win the World Championships.
- Ash has been to the regions Kanto, Orange Islands, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, and Galar.
- Despite entering the championships of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova, he has not yet managed to win one until the Alola Legaue.
- Ash won the Orange League, as well as the Kanto Battle Frontier and the Alola League. He had finally attained the title of Pokémon Master after 25 years as he won in Pokémon Journeys: The Series; he becomes the new Monarch of the Pokémon World Coronation Series.
- He has been competing in various Pokémon contests.
- During his journey, Ash has been accompanied by various friends, some reoccurring. Usually, he travels in a group of three people with one girl present.
- In the official Pokémon games, he is represented by Red who can be found/challenged in a cavern after completing the actual storyline. (First Generation editions)
- He has saved the Pokémon 14 times, (even though he forgot about the First Movie)
