Bayleef was found inside the Forest Temple after Ivysaur and Shuckle helped Link and Zelda II thru the Moblins. Bayleef and Ivysaur were the leaders of the team, even saving the Trainers from a Wallmaster, fending off Stalfos, which resulted in their evolutions!
Bayleef was found on the frontier before Akari headed into Mainframe. She had her chance with her family and the Bulbasaur line as they helped liberate Mainframe; she and Ivysaur assisted AndrAIa in which they were unsuccessful on releasing Phong.
