Blood Falcon is a clone of Captain Falcon, who competes as an F-Zero pilot in the tournaments.
Biography[]
Although listed in the race literature as 37 years old, Blood Falcon is actually a clone created from Captain Falcon’s DNA, which was stolen while he was hospitalized after the huge accident four years ago. With that in mind, Blood Falcon is technically only four years old. He is capable of everything Captain Falcon can do, but he has been strictly taught to obey all the commands of his evil master, Black Shadow.
His purpose is to defeat Captain Falcon. To give him a competitive chance against Captain Falcon, he was given a race machine of a different build than the original Blue Falcon. Despite his strict obedience to his master, Blood Falcon isn't quite sure of who he actually is or if he is fully human. Regardless of that, he aims to defeat and kill Captain Falcon. That way there will be only one true Falcon: Blood Falcon. But, however, during an interview, he claims that he is not the only clone of Captain Falcon...
The anime takes inspiration from the mention of extra clones and utilizes it for its incarnation of Blood Falcon. Black Shadow had created multiple clones of Blood Falcons as well as Hell Hawks, whether it'd be illusions created by Dark Reactor Mights or for real. These copies wear different colored scarves, rather than the usual yellow (blue, red, green, etc.) There was also a time when he was temporarily successful when he drove the Mobile Task Force apart, as he was capable of disguising himself as one of the members, until they realized they were only aliases made by Blood Falcon. He also seems to be stronger than Rick in terms of physical strength, and while the clones are expendable, he always seems to be qualified for multiple races even after a craft's been destroyed; it would be thanks to Black Shadow/Deathborn/Don Genie's involvement in the F-Zero Committee. He wasn't finally obliterated for good until Captain Falcon barely sacrificed himself to obtain a well-guarded Dark Reactor Might and later became Berserker.
Ikran's F-Zero timeline[]
Tinsel had no knowledge on who Blood Falcon was, nor his existence, since she wasn't around in the X competition, not even after the Horrific Accident in Fire Field. The first time Blood has shown up was during Falcon's Followers, as she, Yugi, and Joey encountered Black Shadow for the first time, confronting and entrapping Falcon. His clone appeared and activated a speed-sensitive bomb atop the Blue Falcon's fuselage, while also waving to cause the roof of the machine to close, speeding away with the hapless hero inside!! The Silver Comet went on the pursuit, as did Joey on his Red-Eyes Black Dragon, as he nearly managed to dismantle the bomb.
He was also a very formidable opponent in the GX Grand Prix, especially against Tinsel! The Hell Hawk was crushing the weak Comet, and was on its last legs, until she strategized making a sharp, hairpin turn! She analyzed the machine prior to the race, seeing it had an E Grip, using the sensitive turning to her advantage! The sudden stunt caused it to stall for a while, before she got in Black Bull's way, allowing Falcon to win! It was implied that Blood shall vow revenge upon his master's defeat!
However...he was still around, till much later anyway. The Task Force, without Tinsel at the Hovercraft Hub, first dealt with him as a lethal copy disguising himself as each member, even the Commissioner in which he captured. His mission was to disband the team, and nearly succeeded! Clank noticed he was wearing their disguises, and by the time Jody shot its head, he was revealed in a liquid metal body! He was proven unstoppable, till some Light Reactor Mights were used. Still, Black Shadow created copies of Blood within a secret lab in Dark Star. Even Rick warned Tinsel as such after the Aeropolis race and restoring Jack. she, Rick and Draq dealt with a copy as he teamed up with Lucy. With a planned strategy, Rick signaled Tinsel to sandwich the Hell Hawk between them, then boosted at a sharp turn, allowing Blood to crash thru the guardrails!
It was during the Lightning Championship when he enrolled himself, much to the Task Force's dismay, especially since the Committee qualified him to race again. He ambushed Gomar and Shioh with his Blood Fire, making the Twin Noritta split in two! Tinsel countered with her own Boost Fire, utilizing the same strategy as in the GX race. Sure enough it worked! The sharp right turn caused the Hell Hawk to lose control and plummet below!

It wasn't entirely over. Rick, Tinsel, Rodney, and soon Dr. Stewart, noticed the numerous tanks filled with the clones, and he urged Rick to use the Death Anchor for its original purpose; a missile designed by the Federation! He did just that, and it obliterated the lab! Still, there was only one who survived, the main clone!! Joey summoned his Red-Eyes and merged it with Yugi's Summoned Skull and became the Black Skull Dragon! Realizing he had enough of the bully and wanting to return Falcon's favor, it unleashed a Shadow Flare toward the pursuing Hell Hawk and obliterated it on contact! Since then, all the copies were wiped off of the universe!

- Since the original Smash, Blood's outfit can be a pallet swap to Falcon's usual attire.
