Bo' Rai Cho is a character in the Mortal Kombat fighting game series. The Outworld-born master of the Drunken Fist, Bo' Rai Cho serves as a major ally to the God of Thunder Raiden while also being the master of the Shaolin Monks Liu Kang and Kung Lao.
Bo' Rai Cho made his playable debut in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. He has been a recurring supporting character throughout the series.
Originally appearing as a cameo in the Story Mode of Mortal Kombat X, he eventually returned as a playable character as part of the Kombat Pack 2.
Bo' Rai Cho is a jovial, obese, drunken master of martial arts. He enjoys drinking alcoholic beverages and is infamous for his "Puke Puddle" move. His primary fighting style is the Drunken Fist, which is said to have been invented by him. Although he is an important part of the series, he did not appear in any games until Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. Despite being an Outworlder, he opposes Shao Kahn and his imperialistic ambitions of conquest but is unable to participate in the tournaments himself (as any victory would be counted in favor of Outworld). With this in mind, he has instead opted to train Earthrealm warriors in combat, including Liu Kang, Kung Lao, and Shujinko. He has also trained Li Mei, another Outworlder who is friendly to Earthrealm and opposes Shao Kahn.
It is unknown if Madam Bo is related to Bo' Rai Cho or is the new version of him in Liu Kang's timeline.

Mortal Kombat: Vengeance[]
Kung Lao met up with Bo' Rai Cho, as did Aiko whom she thought it was the same guy that sexually harassed her on the night she and Lao first met. Lao disconfirmed that, and his former master was too drunk to be reasoned with, hence there was some sense knocked into him! He was agile enough to avoid his bodily moves, but his obese body wound up crushing him! Aiko pitched in to the point on expanding and exploding his heart, till Lao implored her to stop!
Lao and Liu both admitted they never brought him up before to Aiko, as they may have forgotten his training since he was banned from the Academy due to his abuse, heavy alcoholism, and his unnerving bodily habits!! It was probably due to Trauma-Induced Amnesia since he was THAT disturbing to everyone! He claimed he never wanted to be Champion and represent Outworld, in which the honors would automatically go to Shao Kahn, though Lao refused to believe it and mentioned his banishment! He even ogled Aiko for a moment until Lao was about to mop the floor with him before his friends shown up! She even blurted out he was a disgrace as he returned to Outworld when Liu became Champion, abandoning the Shaolin and Raiden taking the monks under his wing. Everyone was disgusted as they walked away, leaving Bo's so-called tail between his fatty buttocks.
Bo' Rai Cho became a stowaway aboard the Dragonfly, much to the Kombatants' dismay, especially Kung Lao's and Baraka's. He always had a grudge against the Tarkatans as they were always destructive, bloodthirsty, treacherous and the fact they were hybrids of Netherrealm demons. Coincidentally, Baraka was always neutral even to Outworlders despite working for Kitana Kahn in his future; before it was ruled over by Kahn and Jade. Bo never bought the fact he was looking for Reptile and help stop the Deadly Alliance to prevent the calamity of Onaga. Until Aiko believed in Baraka's words, as did Liu Kang's spirit. Lao then brought up the demise of the Champion, partially since Raiden saved him.
Somehow this changed Bo's mindset to determination, and he stated he was looking for the small, abandoned village of Sun Do, looking for Li Mei who he believed was captured by Shang and used as a sacrifice, including all the villagers. He was too drunk before since he was unable to save her; now he can with the heroes' help. He then taught Kung Lao the secret Whirlwind Kick, a tricky maneuver but just as lethal as Liu's Flying and Bicycle Kicks. Eventually Lao mastered it, then he taught Aiko how to use her Kwan Do, and Nightwolf with his new Soul Drain, thus reducing the sorcerers' vitality.
Bo' escaped with the other Kombatants as the Dragonfly fell. He even flirted to Kitana and Jade he often bounces upon such impacts utilizing his lard! The Edenians were disgusted by that remark. He even stood back as Hanzo and Baraka dealt with the Onis, even when Jax and Kenshi engaged the Red Dragons. He wouldn't stop worrying over Li Mei's welfare as a sacrifice to the Deadly Alliance; so much so that he snuck away during the Tarkatan melee.
Bo made a sneaky attempt to rescue Li Mei, the last sacrifice to complete Onaga's undead army! Each of the Sun Do victims were at the demons' mercy, even when they conjured the Soulnado! Bo' stayed as low to the floor as possible, carrying an unconscious student away. He then noticed the volatile phenomenon and stormed straight into it! Bo's tough and bulky body was able to withstand the vicious winds and souls, driving them away from Lao and Fujin struggling to not be caught in the funnel! Much like Hanzo before him, Bo' had his soul and body be torn asunder before the Soulnado was shut down!
Final Kombat[]
Bo' Rai Cho followed the Edenian soiree into the palace and reunited with Taven and Li Mei! She knew he was dead upon his sacrifice onto the Soulnado, and she recapped that the realm is preparing for Armageddon. He figured the Elder Gods must've brought him back from death for the sake of it. Taven denounced he shall slay Blaze and lead the warriors to victory as he'll hunt down Daegon. That was when Bo became bitter that Taven never knew the identity of his half-brother, Rain. He went thru the heart-wrenching explanation that Rain was related, only by a different mother, Amara, while Argus abandoned him to hide his affair. Rain was a bastard, and commoners took him in. By the time he discovered his heritage as an Edenian prince, the title went to his head; he soon also found out of the affair and looked at his family with disdain. Since then, he served with Kahn to ensure his position and became as rogue and power-hungry as Daegon, which put Taven in irritation over his family's twisted deeds. Bo' assured Taven and Delia were the only innocent members, and he still has Orin and Caro by his side. Bo even became more devoted to the cause as he avoided any alcohol, reunited with Li Mei, and wished that Liu and Lao would be ready. They still got their hands full and were gravely wounded. Bo made a volley of vomit attempting to keep the enemies at bay up the Pyramid, but he was quickly taken down by Motaro and soon Quan Chi. It's likely he'd been recuperated and spared by Liu's fire cocoon and Cetrion's tears; he may still be the proud Outworlder and mentor for Li Mei, as he was grateful to still have her as his student, maybe Kai, with Kung Lao as the new Chosen One.
