Bob is a Guardian from the Super Computer. He is formally designated Guardian 452 and is the protector of Mainframe from its various internal and external threats. His Key Tool is named Glitch that he wears on his left wrist. The Guardian motto is "To Mend and Defend," and Bob takes pride in doing just that. He is always trying his best to keep Mainframe's enemies at bay.

Bob enjoys taking things as they come, is impulsive, and rarely plans anything. When he's not defending the system, Bob can be found either in his garage, fixing his perpetually broken 262 convertible, or in Dot's Diner trying to pry Dot Matrix away from her work.

Bob loves Dot Matrix. Early on they didn't talk about it much, being too shy to actually admit to it. During the Treasure of Atlantis Game, Bob and Dot rebooted as telepathic merpeople, and he was caught admiring her.

While training as a cadet in the Super Computer, Bob helped arrest Mouse. She was trying to hack into the System. The two formed a friendship that has lasted through the years. Bob doesn't exactly trust Mouse, but he likes her.

Bob serves under Turbo and was trained by Dixon Green. His roommate at the Guardian Academy was Cardon. Even as a Cadet, Bob was fairly unique among Guardians as he was in favor of non-violent alternatives to dealing with Viruses rather than executing nefarious being. Bob believed it wasn't their fault a User made them this way.

While talking to his partner, an upgrading Killabyte broke free and dealt Dixon a fatal wound. Bob was heartbroken at the loss of Dixon. Her Key Tool Glitch joined with Bob. Bob came to Mainframe chasing the virus Gigabyte that killed Dixon. When he arrived in what remained of Mainframe's Twin City, he was utterly shocked to see all the surrounding chaos and devastation. This is when Bob meets Dot Matrix. She was in shock over the loss of the city and her father and initially blamed him for all the destruction.

Bob decided to stay in Mainframe and protect the city from the new viruses, Megabyte and Hexadecimal. Megabyte quickly took control of Giedi Prime sector, while Hexadecimal took the island of Lost Angles as her home Bob himself took residence in Eight Ball Apartments in Kits Sector, on the top floor. His apartment has everything from a picture of the Super Computer captioned with the phrase "Home, Sweet, Home," to an assembly-line style shower, to a very annoying talking television, Mike the TV.

After his arrival, Bob grew very close to Dot Matrix. Bob also gradually trained Enzo Matrix on how to fight in Game Cubes, though Dot discouraged Enzo from following him into Games.

Bob was somewhat naïve about living in a small System. Megabyte tried to trick Bob into stabilizing a tear into a portal to the Super Computer. In an attempt to persuade Bob, Megabyte prevented him from aiding a sub-sector in winning a Game, causing it to be nullified. Bob tried to take care of the situation alone, but eventually learned he could not, because Mainframers always stick together and help each other out.

The Mainframers discovered that Bob was immune to viral bugs when Hexadecimal's Medusa Bug began infecting the city, and his Guardian code was strong enough to protect him. The rest of the city was turned to stone until he figured out how to restore them.

The ReBoot Multiuniverse[]

Bob pretty much functions like he would in the series, as his cocky, arrogant, though sometimes heroic side, which often bothers Akari, even when she tends to get more serious. She also tends to be Bob's greatest rival, especially when using her Pokémon compared to him using Glitch. She and Mewtwo usually hate how Bob always tends to spare viruses, and not the Users in Games, instead of deleting them! Even against the Crimson Binome in which Samus captured and prepared them for deletion!

Bob finally had his wake-up call during the Web War as Megabyte betrayed him and shot him into the massive portal of the Web, where Samus took in the missile via tractor beam and nursed him back to health without his Key Tool. He was in self-exile as he traveled with Samus and half of Akari's Pokémon as she went on a rescue mission to save the captured baby Metroid from Ridley and head to Zebes. After the planet self-destructed, they saved the Etecoons and Dachoras along with a few docile Web Riders. They spotted the Saucy Mare, to her dismay, covered in dead Web Creature hides. It was invaded by the Riders and Mewtwo was about to unleash his fury he held back for so long, till she and Bob stopped the fight, disguised as Interface. During the mission, they saved a few docile Creatures and made Bob a disguise to avoid degradation and detection from viruses. Some of his code was lost after he was separated from Glitch and was degrading inside the capsule.

Once he was strong enough, he healed AndrAIa who had her codes lost by a stray baby Web Creature, reminding Samus of Metroids. He reunited with the gang as Akari did with her missing Pokémon, then he merged with Glitch, hence the name, Glitch-Bob, and accessed to Mainframe, or Megaframe in this case. He was about to recruit Hexadecimal, till her demands got the best of him. He then healed her face by defragmentation and escaped reluctantly convincing Akari and her Venusaur, Aerodactyl and Meganium to not delete her so they'd have a better chance against Megabyte! Luckily, Matrix forced him into a Web portal, then the System was crashing! He went to the Mainframe's core with Raichu and faced off Megabyte's simulations while shutting down the damage to the System! Unfortunately, it can do so much as there were no chances on saving a dead System.

He had this idea the User may force a restart after the User should win the abandoned Game, resulting in a lethal System crash, with only the Principal Office intact. The User restored the System via backup files, and it was saved, even the Pokémon Stadium!!

But the peace was short-lived as the Guardian Armada struck and destroyed the control tower, leaving Mainframe vulnerable to Daemon! He wanted to reason with Cardon, his roommate in the Academy, but Matrix lost his temper and resumed the fight. As he tried to contain the Guardians, he began to sap his energy. Samus came to the conclusion that with a defective Key Tool, he can only do so much, let alone cure those under Daemon's thrall, such as Turbo. He got into a quarrel with him, that he shouldn't spare Daemon and Hexadecimal was a failed experiment! He hasn't changed his pacifist motives even after Killabyte deleted his partner, Dixon, and destroyed Mainframe's Twin City. This irritated Akari and Game & Watch!

He soon got infected along with the civilians, excepting Samus and her comrades who just arrived and challenged Daemon to a tourney! Samus was reluctant on fighting her infected friend, yet she took them to the Brinstar Depths in the Smash System. She and Pikachu, briefly, fought him off, even hitting his icon via Plasma Beam, resulting an electrocution as he was cured, while his Glitch powers left him weak. He was knocked out, unable to carry out Daemon's function, but the Smash System was still open! She and Mewtwo challenged Daemon head on, though in her trophy state, she spread the infection shutting down the Gunship. It crashlanded onto the Gateway as Bob dreaded the countdown. Hexadecimal made her sacrifice, then Dot asked to marry him, next Akari pulled a rant on how incompetent the Guardians are and those infected! She presented the Smashers, then she left Mainframe under its mercy till several years later.

Bob was saving Exidy from Gnosis, and then Akari was still resentful over his past mistakes, thinking it was his fault for failing the Net! Matrix and Akari finished the job with Mega Rayquaza as he used his techniques as a Code Master. As Exidy was free, the Net was saved, and Bob reunited and married Dot the right way!
