Brian Griffin is a white Labrador retriever. He is owned by the Griffin family.
History[]
Brian's story began when he and Stewie were ready for their street hockey game. When Stewie went inside to grab his knee pads, a car made a sharp turn, heading for Brian. Stewie tried to warn him, but the car wouldn't stop, and it ran over Brian. Stewie cried in horror as he watched Brian get crushed by the tires, and rushed him into his bedroom as quickly as possible. It was there that Stewie downloaded his spirit into a robotic body that resembled his original body, in order to prevent him from dying.
Within a month's time, Brian saw a Dateline story about the passing of an old man who left his tiny apartment, and a dog, behind. Brian then drove over to the apartment building and met that dog, whose name was Vinny. Brian helped him out by dropping him off at the Quahog pet shop, where he would later buy him as a Christmas present for the Griffins.
