Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen is an American singer and musician. He has gained critical acclaim for his songs about working class American life and for albums such as Born to Run and Born in the USA. Nicknamed "the Boss", Springsteen is frequently backed by the E Street Band. He auditioned to provide the singing voice of Charlie in Oliver and Company 2. Stewie and Brian remember being members of the E Street Band in the Family Guy-American Dad crossover fanfic Family Dad!. He also voiced Bob Goldberg, an ageing rock musician in the Simpsons fanfic Music to Marge's Ears and his song "I'm On Fire" appears in the Glee fanfic Steppin' Out.
