Assassins

Assassins are heroes and villains that commit the act of assassination, which is a pre-meditated killing of another person that is usually done in either a discreet or particularly audacious manner (such as killing them in front of a crowd for example).

While this is usually a villainous deed, there are some morally ambiguous heroes who have employed assassination to kill particularly corrupt and/or wicked individuals. Nevertheless, such actions tend to place a character firmly in Anti-Hero territory.

Note: Purely Good heroes never count as this as those types of heroes are not considered Sympathetic, Merciful and incorruptible. Assassins kill another person that is usually done in either a discreet or particularly audacious manner and have corrupting qualities. Pure Good heroes that seek their own rights or pragmatic forms of self-defense should go under the Misguided, Vigilante, Lawful Good, Patriots, Criminals, Warriors, and/or Dreaded instead of this category.
