Black Shadow, assisted by The Skull, had come across Haruka's corpse and resurrected her just to have a leg up on the competition. She has quickly soared thru the ranks in the crime organization and racing and has shortly proven to be the emperor's best pilot! Even though she shares Rick's late girlfriend's body, her spirit belonged to the black demon. They seem loyal to each other to the point of inseparability, even bearing their lost son, Lucifer Shadow.
