Handicapped Characters

Not all characters are fully bodied. There are some who have problems with their bodies, or in some cases their minds.

Examples can be they're missing a body part like an arm, leg, or an eye; a body part may not work anymore; it can be by a birth defect; they could be blind or deaf; or perhaps they can't walk anymore.

But these people can still be a great help to others. And they have been known to not let their handicaps keep them from living normal lives.

The above's for the physical, but it can apply to mentally handicapped too. Characters with Mental Disorders or those with Mental Illnesses are those who suffer from disorders that mainly affect the personality and behavior of the Hero/Villain. Some characters with mental illness can be (but aren’t always) insane, such as Buck from Ice Age. Some of the more common mental disorders are autism, amnesia, survivor's guilt, PTSD and depression. Examples can be:

• Max Payne, who suffers from depression.
• Rorschach, who has a PPD.
• Cloud Strife, who suffers from PTSD.
• Angela Orosco, who suffers from CPTSD.
• Robin, who suffers from amnesia.
• Kinsey, who suffers from survivor's guilt.
