Slayer Advance is written in a story format, placed into a TV series format. Each story is an 'episode'. There are fifteen episodes per season, the exception is Season Eight which only has five episodes. Slayer Advance goes by the other titles of Slayer and Slayer 2004.
Slayer Advance is based off of the ending episode of the TV series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. At the end of Buffy, the Sunnydale hell mouth is destroyed, taking Sunnydale down with it. At that end, Slayer Advance begins. The series takes place from 2003 to 2007. After the hell mouth was destroyed, vampires seeking revenge for the death of Satan the Devil, performed a spell sending all the “potentials” back to normal. The spell causes a few other normal girls to become slayers. As you should know, Buffy the Vampire Slayer is about a vampire slayer (Buffy Summers) going around her town, killing vampires and demons, saving the world from destruction. Slayer Advance takes place in Maybrook, New York, where a 17 year old girl (Alexis CJ Perry) is a new slayer. Her town’s cemeteries have been activated by witches spells, causing the dead to rise as vampires. The local hell mouth is located under Alexis' school. Now it is up to Alexis to fight off the vampires and demons just like Buffy.
