Celebi was hardly seen, but it somehow entered Hyrule and hang out with Saria and all the Grass and Bug Types in the Sacred Forest. It was fascinated with time travel in Hyrule and was willing to defend the forest once the Hero awakened. It was a shy Pokémon, until it decided to be one of Saria's guardians. Since then, it became more willing to save the forest, even assisted Link on sealing away the Master Sword and preventing him from being sent into the past.
