Chaka Khan, birth name Yvette Marie Stevens, is an American singer-songwriter. She found fame as lead singer of the funk band Rufus, with whom she had several hits such as "Ain't Nobody" and "I'm Every Woman" (later a hit for Whitney Houston). In 1984, she released the single "I Feel For You" featuring Melle Mel of the rap group Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five, making her the first artist to collaborate with a rapper.
She wrote the song King of New York (Dodger Rap) for Oliver and Company:The Series.
She performed the song (You Can) Make My Dreams Come True on the soundtrack of The Quest for Beasts movie Rise of Babylon.
