Charizard (リザードン, Rizaadon) is a Fire/Flying-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I.
It can Mega Evolve into either Mega Charizard X, using the Charizardite X or Mega Charizard Y, using the Charizardite Y. It has a Gigantamax form. Mega Charizard X has its Flying changed into Dragon-typing.
It is the mascot for Pokémon Red and its remake, Pokémon FireRed.
Ikran's Lost OoT/Pokémon crossover[]
Charizard evolved within the lava pits in the Fire Temple, after a Keese and Red Skull knocked Charmeleon down! Link figured he'd perish with the tail flame out, but the impact only unleashed his fury! He was vital inside Death Mountain and was a decent fighter against Volvagia, till he was clobbered by the fallen rocks. Because of his valiance, he was chosen as one of Darunia's guardians. He didn't want to leave the team yet as he gave the 2 Trainers a lift down to Kakariko Village. He also assisted inside the Ice Cavern, until Link and Zelda II submerged in a way to exit it.
In all factions, he was trained by Mewtwo.
The Tribal Ceremony[]
Like Venusaur and Blastoise, Charizard was chosen as one of the full-time chieftains, always attracting other mates and embracing his regality soaring thru the skies and roaring while unleashing his dazzling prowess! It's likely he has attracted mates in the Tribal Trio and nearly works in sync, and proven to be one of the most versatile members... At the Eternal Palace, he hung out of the place as he became determined to listen in on Unaliving Liu Kang's words in order to decimate their new enemy, Darkseid.
The ReBoot Multiuniverse[]
Charizard joined with Akari's Dragon-Types as they dealt with merged Game Cubes and prevented Megabyte from breaching the Super Computer; the trio of Pokémon had to function without Akari as she was mourning over the loss of her Electrode.
He also participated as a summon during the Net War.
