The Cheetah Racer (codename CR-01) is Chase Davenport's Gear Beast Battle Machine. It can be piloted & can upgrade into a variety of forms each with its own function, chief of which is Gear Ace.

Cheetah Racer: Vehicle Mode[]
The Cheetah Racer: Vehicle Mode is the first of the Gear Beast Battle Machines to appear. When in "auto-navigation" mode, it can travel the city on its own. It is docked at the storage bay & launched on its own when Chase is already on the scene. It's bumper has a gate to take in Nick Cheetah's bike mode.

Once piloted by Nick Cheetah & Chase, the Cheetah Racer goes into Interface Mode, with a facsimile of Nick's animal head taking over the grill forming a modified race car, combining the appearance of Nick's bike form & the car itself. It is equipped with missiles.

The Cheetah Racer can also upgrade with Nick into its Animal Mode, assuming the form of a cheetah. The Animal Mode can track paths set by Nick Cheetah as well as do powerful pounce & grab attacks. It is equipped with lasers.

To combat Viratron Upgrades more effectively, the Cheetah Racer can also upgrade into Cheetah Racer: Ace/Gear Ace, Chase's robot. A "0.5 Robot", it is capable of humanoid movement & flight. Using its (disposable) Gear Swords, it can "shut down" Viratron Upgrades by hitting them with a Gear Slash. Later in the series, Ace can also perform the stronger Resolution Slash, which possesses enough power to bring down a Type-Epsilon Viratron Upgrade on its own. It is the first robot to appear on the side of the Lab Rats.
When piloted from base, it can be deployed via its own lift, either in robot mode or Vehicle Mode.

- The Cheetah Racer is the only Gear Beast Battle Machine that has four interchangeable modes; namely Vehicle Mode, Interface Mode, Animal Mode, & Robot Mode.
- In Gear Beasts Return: Lab Rats vs. Power Rangers, this machine is called the Cheetah Racer Zord by the Red Cheetah Ranger.
