Cold as Ice

Tinsel was about to visit her friends in the Task Force while they were glued to an intense race between Rick and Super Arrow! She was amazed it was the same pilot that convinced the F-Zero Congress to resume the sport after the Horrific Accident, thus the X competition. She decided to show off her gift from Yugi and Joey, her very own Duel Disk! Athough...it was wide and was built to hold more than 2 decks of cards. Stewart was pleased to see her have it, although he wasn't fond of its size as she had a difficult time holding it up her arm.

She was, however, excited to see her best friend race, and actually defeated Super Arrow while the pseudo-hero spun out! They made cheers, and Stewart concluded that Rick decided to go all out so the criminals would go after him! He just shook it off and left. Tinsel was worried, and Jody explained a few racers went missing, those who had won. The veteran grew worried, hoping Rick wouldn't be next.

A week later, Rick invited his friends to attend a party in Truman's mansion; he and his girlfriend, Dream, are fans of Rick. Since he saved his life when Truman was being banged by a gang, he decided to bring in Rick for Dream's birthday! Lucy and Tinsel offered to go, though EAD counted out. Rick joked he may not fit in since he's an android and may burn his motherboard if he keeps worrying. Jack called out too, which was very unusual. Stewart noticed the Arrows are going and described them as a bunch of wackos who pretend to be superheroes. As THEY put the Zero in F-Zero!

That night, Rick, Lucy, Tinsel and the Arrows attended. There was a glass chandelier, caviar, and Truman was impressed he inherited all the riches from his grandpa. He also summarized on how he met Dream, by accident. He was just going too fast and skidded resulting in a crash. Dream was there beside him, encouraging him to awaken. She was also next to him at the hospital, never wanting to leave his side, and he called her his "dream come true." Dream never knew he was rich, though.

Lucy, Dream, and the Arrows were so enthralled by meeting a millionaire, though Super Arrow never stopped boasting. Rick even said birds of a feather flock together, even those who're cuckoo birds, to which Tinsel agreed. She then presented the Duel Disk as a special presentation, but...the Disk fell off her sore arm and scattered her Cards! Truman offered for Dream to wait while he shows the remaining party animals a surprise in the basement, according to Super Arrow! Injured, Tinsel was desperate to reassemble her Cards, and she kept refusing to receive treatment from Dream. Then, she saw an ominous glow...and a large disarray of Wild Boars!! Her heart raced as she thought she obliterated them! She alerted Dream it's the Bloody Chain and must hide!

She hid herself in a nearby closet, while Tinsel peeked into the basement. Truman trapped everyone in a red laser gate, which seemed lethal to the touch demonstrated by Super Arrow! Truman unveiled he was doing a favor for Michael, the leader of the gang, as he demanded him to capture more F-Zero pilots. Apparently, those riches were offered to him by the gang and protect Dream as long as he kept the bargain! Tinsel scurried to the closet and told Dream to break things off with that treacherous Truman! The coast was clear as she decided to stand up to the Chain and save her friends.

She met Truman outside, and Mike offered to make him one of them soon. He wishes that when they catch Falcon, no one can stop them, and be able to rule all of Mute City and even the universe. Tinsel confronted the group and Mike tried to intimidate her. Rick filled Tinsel with courage, and she demanded them to be released. She then took out her Duel Disk and loaded the deck with Kuriboh. To their horror, the henchmen remembered the same Monster that blew up their machines last year in the Big Blue highway! Mike denied it as just a harmless fur ball, Tinsel loaded Multiply, and the Wild Boars exploded!!

Each member was buried beneath their machines, even Mikey! While Truman cowered! And the gate was disabled after a few shockwaves. Tinsel called in the Feds and ordered them to look for fireworks and she alerted them of the Bloody Chain at Truman's mansion! She confessed it was him who was responsible on capturing the F-Zero pilots, including Rick, Lucy, and the Arrows! Dream was devastated of his betrayal, but Tinsel had a change of heart saying it was a big mistake he made.

As the Federation left, Tinsel had a nervous breakdown and strangled Truman, warning him that they're enemies! She demands for him to find the remaining missing pilots, or she'll find him and sentence him to permanent cold sleep! She warned Dream the relationship should be over and stormed away in her Silver Comet. Rick was unable to stop her, though.

She sobbed in the dark garage at the Task Force Base before she explained what happened to Jody and Stewart. She escorted her to the restroom and helped her rinse her face. She actually admired her courage and being like a protective wolf defending others, while still being aggressive. Although she offered Tinsel to be tested. Rick arrived and his CEOs assured him she'll be alright soon.

Unbeknownst to them, Black Shadow monitored Tinsel's sudden actions and admired her dark side. Then he ordered The Skull to awaken their 150-year-old guest. He'll be looking forward to exploit Tinsel's aggressiveness when the time comes...

Trivia[]

  • This was based on the seventh episode of GP Legend, Michael Chain's Trap.
  • This has elements tied into the Yugioh series, such as the Duel Disk Tinsel uses, and Kuriboh. Like Falcon's Followers, this was a coping story to deal with the angsts.
  • Ikran despises Truman and the outcome's completely different from the source material, as it ends with heartbreak and betrayal instead of Dream's wedding.
  • The title's a pun on words for the Foreigner hit of the same name. It was either that or Crime and Punishment. Heck, it's got an excerpt from Home Alone 2 and Rambo 2. There was also a reference to Kelly Clarkson's hit, Dark Side, symbolizing Tinsel's own.
  • Unlike the episode, Super Arrow's owl, Zukk, was cut out. Ikran was never crazy about the Arrows anyway...
