The Crocomire (クロコマイアー Kurokomaiā?) is a miniboss in Super Metroid. It is found in Croc's pit in Norfair on the way to finding the Grapple Beam.

The Power of the Falcon[]
In the short story of Ikran's F-Zero timeline, there was the guardian of the Home of Holidus; it was roughly inspired by Crocomire. Rick and Tinsel headed into the lower lair dominated by magma and red earth and the beast emerged and attacked the duo! Tinsel used up all her ice ammo and at a losing situation, Rick strategized to break apart the earth to emit toxic fumes into the monster's airwaves causing it to cough and sputter. It was enough for it to back away onto the bridge which eventually collapsed, causing it to flail until it sunk! It then shot out a glowing streak which turned out to be Holidus' sphere, the third out of four spheres to unite at the heart of the Materia Shrines.
