Daegon is a character in the Mortal Kombat fighting game series. He made his debut in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, serving as the sub-boss and the main antagonist of the game's Konquest Mode.

Serving as the main antagonist of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, Daegon is the brother of Taven, son of the Edenian protector god Argus and the prophet Delia, and half-brother of Rain. Contrary to his appearance, he is actually the younger brother of Taven. When Delia foretold the future of the realms as Armageddon, Argus had his sons put into incubation and guarded by two dragons. They would be awakened one day to fight Blaze and save the realms from Armageddon.

Final Kombat[]

Daegon first spotted Taven inside the Red Dragon headquarters at Charred Mountain, whom the latter was astonished to see him, even age more... It turned out that Daegon was awakened earlier than Taven for taking their parents' quest, beating Taven to the secret weapons and armor in their temples, and soon organized the Red Dragon clan... He enslaved his own guardian, Caro, as a portal generator and mascot for his own gang while also desiring to attain the prize after he should defeat Blaze! All Daegon wanted was to employ the Red Dragons to kill his own brother! He left him disheartened, ordering Mavado to slay him! He soon made a narrow escape as his prized base was being firebombed, and also noticing his dragon mysteriously gone!

Nevertheless, he still headed into the Netherrealm, and apparently, he'd been conspiring with Shinnok, his stronger double, on preparing for Armageddon. Shinnok was irritated of Taven being stronger wiping out his illusions at the Spire and is more efficient than Daegon; he was outraged when Shinnok'd favor Taven over him in which he was greeted with a sock in the face. He soon recovered and apologized for objecting him in which Shinnok is still saving the prize for Daegon while also having him decimate Blaze for last after the warriors'd kill each other in the melee. Shinnok relied on Daegon he was the key to his ascension, although he needed to tell him there's a lot more than what his parents told him.

At the Edenian Ruins, he met up with Taven. He wasn't surprised Taven figured out of Daegon's murders and admitted on killing their parents, slaving Caro, and creating the Red Dragons, just because Shinnok's doppelganger coaxed him about Blaze's flames to make him attain godhood. Before a fight ensued, Blaze informed the quest was corrupted and he failed to convince the brothers to continue. Taven was at first struggling from Daegon's agility and lethal throw, even his dual Drakeswords since he beat him to their family's weapons. Taven fell in battle, but thanks to Aiko's heart gem he was revived. He strategized to counter and move, even knocking Daegon's swords out of his grip. Enraged of all the turncoats, Taven slain Daegon. Blaze lamented the loss, but Taven must complete the quest which he never wanted to be a part of... Blaze stated his defeat would result in a coin toss; one brother shall kill all the warriors while the other strips them of their powers. Taven wondered which side he was, but Blaze remained dissonate.
