Dairou is a character in the Mortal Kombat fighting game series, who made his debut in Mortal Kombat: Deception.
Dairou was supposed to appear in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance but he didn't make the final cut. He is a former Seidan guard, who was imprisoned for killing the man who murdered his family. After escaping prison Dairou went rogue and decided to work as a mercenary. He takes assignments where he can find them, whether they are noble or not.
In the new timeline, Havik hails from the Orderrealm. His backstory is extended upon and partially amalgamated with that of the character Dairou, whose name Havik now shares as his real name, as well as his history as a member of Seido. A member of its lowest caste, Havik was driven by anger due to its laws. Havik sets out to destroy Seido's regime, replacing it with an anarchist utopia and freeing its citizens.
Return of the Dragon King[]
Along with Darrius, Havik recruited the both of them to kombat Onaga and his undead followers. They wreaked havoc within the Living Forest, especially when they severely mangled Hotaru and saved Baraka from his Lava assault.
Final Kombat[]
While Hanzo was with Havik as he escorted him to the Chaosrealm when he was severely wounded in the Netherrealm, Dairou and Darrius ambushed the pair. Hanzo and Havik battled them in kombat reconverting them to the ways of chaos and breaking Shinnok's thrall over them. They were assigned to join the Forces of Darkness for Armageddon but only as moles.
It's likely Havik conjured a portal to the southern Edenian crater, and they and Darrius charged into the fray taking out whatever enemy in his way. That was until Havik was compromised and evenly matched with Hotaru. The conflict was so overwhelming that his associates began to kill themselves in a stupor!
Trivia[]
- An interaction between Reptile and Havik in MK 2023 reveal Havik's real name in this timeline is Dairou, making him an amalgamation of the original Havik and Dairou characters.
