Dante Alighieri was the titular protagonist of Dante's Inferno who crossed the nine circles of Hell to rescue his lost love named Beatrice.
Sleepy Hollow, the Missing Episodes[]
Dante was inside Gavin's apartment bedroom. The sergeant woke up and noticed a bright light below his closet door and he heard footsteps. He queried who was there, and in walked the Crusader. He assured Gavin he was here to help guide him on rescuing the damned soul of Ichabod Crane. Gavin was ecstatic to see the legendary figure, and he stated it was no different than rescuing his beloved, Beatrice. He said everyone has one chance to do something heroic and no one often does it cuz they don't realize their true potential. He even met his ancestor, Leon, and how he demonstrated great fortitude. Gavin and his friends must do the same by venturing thru the nine wicked rings of Hell to get to Ichabod's soul before it's too late.
