Dark Magician is a Level 7, Dark Spellcaster used by Yami and Yugi in Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters.
In Ancient Egypt, Dark Magician was created when Mahad fused his ba with "Illusion Magician", his ka while fighting Thief King Bakura.
The Dark Magician fended off the ghosts and battled Diabound. He then continued to serve the Pharaoh in the form of the Dark Magician.

Dark Magician was used once as Yugi drew it out while fending off the Creator Ghosts; alas, he wa unsuccessful since Yugi got trapped inside ITS Card! Luckily by defeating the Ghosts, Falcon saved him! He was used again as Yugi and Joey were defending Jody from a swarm of Dark Soldiers. And he was used again in Dark Star as a way to counter Black Shadow's umbrakinesis, though he wasn't powerful enough to endure Deathborn!
