Darunia, also known as The Passionate Brother, is a recurring character in The Legend of Zelda series. He is the leader of the Hyrulean Gorons and the Sworn Brother of the King of Hyrule. Despite his stern appearance, he loves music and dancing and cares deeply about his people. His known relatives are a distant ancestor who became a legendary hero by defeating the ancient dragon Volvagia and his son Link, who was born sometime in the seven-year absence of the Hero of Time. Darunia eventually becomes the new Sage of Fire when Link cleanses the Fire Temple.
Ikran's Lost OoT/Pokémon crossover[]

Darunia with Golem, Marowak, and Moltres
Darunia was first seen in a foul mood over the famine of the Gorons, all because the man from the desert blocked the way to the Dodongo's Cavern all because he refused to give him the Goron's Ruby. It was difficult to talk to him, so Navi suggested to go to the Sacred Forest Meadow in the Lost Woods where Link and Zelda II learned Saria's Song! It actually worked, after first entering the throne room playing Zelda's Lullaby proving they're the Royal Family messengers. Thanks to the cheerful tune, the wild Darunia was dancing like crazy and was in a lighter mood, and implored Link and Zelda II to destroy the Dodongos to prove themselves as sworn siblings.
Sure enough, they were, though they avoided any monstrous, suffocating hugs from the Gorons! He wasn't seen again till 7 years later, after Link and Zelda II found out news from his son, Link, that he went to the Fire Temple wanting to clobber the dreadful dragon, Volvagia, waiting to eat the Gorons! They met him just before the Dragon's lair, and he was about to tell Link a manly secret till duty called. They defeated the Dragon and met Darunia at the Chamber of Sages! He'd be happy to seal Ganondorf and all the evil away, but he felt worthless on being old and not as strong as he once was. Zelda II offered him to pass on the teachings to his son; those that don't do, teach. Darunia admired her positive attitude and presented them as true sworn siblings! The Trainer gifted Moltres, Golem, and Marowak as his Guardians as they earned the Fire Medallion.
Darunia also sealed Ganondorf away into the Evil Realm.
The Lost Legend of Namira[]
Darunia despised the Gerudo because of the way they'd swayed over any unsuspecting males, as was the case with Namira.
Coronation and Dreams[]
Darunia was chosen by the new Queen Zelda to be one of the Pokémon elitists and having permission to use all of Zelda II's Fire, Ground, and Rock-Types.
