Dr. Ann Christine Cypher is one of the protagonists in The Quest for Beasts. She is voiced by Jane Seymour in the series, its two movies and in its various video games, and Seymour also reprises the role in the live film. In Rise of Babylon, her singing voice is provided by country artist Trisha Yearwood and in the 2011 spinoff, she is voiced by Lauren Bacall in the first season and Kathy Bates onwards.
Biography[]
Ann was born around the 1950s to unknown parents. She has an older brother, William, a younger brother Charlie and an unnamed sister. Ann's ancestry is Irish as well as some Native American ancestry (mostly comprised of Shoshone and Iroquois, as well as smaller amounts of Cree, Navajo and Blackfoot roots). Her older brother William later on married Dr. Kate Cypher (nee Lewis), and this produced their son and Dr. Cypher's nephew Daniel. Though Ann hadn't married and had no children of her own, she became something of a mother figure to Daniel after his parents were killed.
Appearance and personality[]
Ann is a middle-aged woman with brownish-grey hair and brown eyes. She sports a white lab coat, glasses, a white shirt, tan trousers and brown boots. Dr. Cypher is a kindhearted individual. She has a motherly quality, especially to her nephew Daniel, who is something of a surrogate son for her as she herself does not have children.
