Edenian Ruins is an ancient location in the Realm of Edenia, which serves as a kombat arena.
This ancient overlook was built by the worshippers of the protector God of Edenia known as Argus, the father of Taven, Daegon and Rain. It is located outside a crater within the Southlands of Edenia. This temple-like arena, along with its mystically enchanted archway, acts as a trigger to raise the great pyramid at the time of the coming Armageddon.
Taven succeeded in defeating his brother in lombat and marches forward to face Blaze atop the pyramid during the final battle to become Protector of Edenia.
Final Kombat[]
In the prologue, it was rumored to be the same area millennia ago where Delia foresaw Armageddon and discussed the plans with Argus. He also put Taven and Daegon into a deep slumber here as he was making his last discussion for them to compete.
Just like in the game, Taven does fight and defeat Daegon there. Blaze explained this is where his quest would end and where Armageddon would start. He stated the fates of the Kombatants would be decided by a coin toss; one side kills all warriors involved, while the other spares them and strips their powers. Argus constructed the Pyramid as the final battleground and wanted to destroy everyone, while Delia argued to spare them since some were undeserved to perish, thus creating Blaze. Neither Blaze nor Taven was sure what his victory would cause if he were to defeat the fire spawn in Mortal Kombat. Nevertheless, he challenged him to do so awaiting him atop the pyramid. As soon as Taven took up Daegon's longsword rumored to slay Blaze, he walked thru the portal which triggered the pyramid's activation as the Kombatants fought!
After Armageddon ended, both Liu Kang and Raiden sacrificed themselves along with Blaze during his eruption. Taven was reflecting on the grave turmoil his quest caused as he looked over the Ruins. He was still grateful on having the dragons and his new friends spared, but it was still a heavy burden. Orin met up with him, assuring it wasn't all in vain, then the Edenian warriors arrived congratulating him as Edenia's new Protector God. Jade even gave him a peck on the cheek, symbolizing Taven as her love interest.
