Ego the Living Planet is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appeared in Thor #132 (September 1966) and was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby.
He is an ancient and powerful alien being who, as his name implies, takes the form of a planet that has gained self-awareness as well as superhuman abilities allowing him to communicate with and even battle other life-forms.
In Worriment of the Future, it was mentioned that Tinsel got into a fight with Star-Lord after he revealed he was Ego's son, being obsessed on meeting him and considering his destructive, manipulative father being his family until later he realized he killed his mom with the tumor. Tinsel thought Peter was as ruthless and asinine siding with his god dad! Gamora talked some sense into him, and the argument was slowly resolved.
