Enzo Matrix is a Sprite living in Mainframe. He is the son of Welman Matrix, the younger brother of Dot Matrix, and later the older brother to Little Enzo. When he was a young Sprite, his father was nullified when Mainframe's Twin City was destroyed. He lived with his older sister, Dot Matrix, at Dot's Diner. Enzo idolized Bob when the Guardian came to Mainframe to help protect the city. He was the envy of the little Sprite and Enzo dreamed of being a Guardian just like Bob. Enzo's pet and best friend was a dog named Frisket, then AndrAIa. Despite his small stature, Enzo was very brave, always ready to go into a Game Cube or face Megabyte or Hexadecimal.
The ReBoot Multiuniverse[]
Enzo met Akari and her Pokémon after she dealt with Megabyte and her first Game. She and Enzo became fast friends, and even though he seemed to be the only young Sprite in the System, she kept assuring him there's her and her Pokémon to play with, though it didn't do very much. Till he met AndrAIa in the Atlantis Game. Akari was fascinated on how Enzo idolized Bob so much, even taking big risks as he'd followed him in Games. She always thought he has what it takes to be a more prominent hero, even when he had no choice but to defend the System without Bob. Even in a losing game against Zaytan.
She, AndrAIa, Frisket and half her Pokémon watched him compile quickly since then, though when he became Matrix after Rad offered him Gun, as his dying gift, he became a lot sourer, even during his loss. They jumped from System to System trying to find Mainframe again, but were unsuccessful, and he and Akari were increasingly losing hopes. By the time he overcame his younger self in a dream, he received a distress call from Bob as an apparition that he needed saving. This restored his hopes on finding him and his doomed home.
They soon came to the Desert Port System, met Turbo who informed him of Daemon, and realized the Guardian threat. He soon saved the Crimson Binome from deletion, fought off some security units, and became jealous as AndrAIa was sticking with Ray Tracer, a Sprite he never trusted. He became more arrogant and pissed with his and AndrAI's group dynamic, to the point on storming around and refusing to help. By the time AndrAIa was attacked by a baby Web Creature, he was anxious to save her code from deletion! The Pokémon were little match to the Riders and the Web's degrading atmosphere, till he was spared by Bob, Samus, and a few docile survivors.
He reunited with AndrAIa and Bob, then made it to Mainframe, defeated Megabyte and survived the System from crashing...that was till he met his younger self via the User's backup files.
In the Net War, Matrix aggressively took on the viral Guardians, or sealed Systems with a Firewall as protection from Daemon's infection. At the Desert Port, Matrix was trapped with AndrAIa! He escaped thru a Portal with Turbo at the last nanosecond as she was trapped by a Zoom Room. He became desperate on saving her to the point on getting infected with Mouse! He and the group arrived at Mainframe before Samus' tourney was going on, but he and AmdrAIa became passive until Little Matrix tried and failed to convince them to fight the infection and supervirus. Frisket bit his arm and Matrix threatened to hurt him, and the Ice Climbers were mangled by him! Falco stepped in and deflected his bullet, ricocheting to his icon nearly deleting him and erasing the infection! They stood by till Hex made the sacrifice to cure the Net!
Akari congratulated the young Sprite but appalled Matrix for his wrongdoings! She shown no mercy to him years later during Gnosis' and Trojan Megabyte's invasion, though he avenged Turbo's death and helped to save his little brother as Akari's Mega Rayquazza decimated both Trojan Megabyte and Gnosis! It's likely he only used Gun since he discarded his newer Keytool given by Turbo before his deletion.
