Juan Ernesto "Ernie" Rivera is one of the titular characters in DecaTilde's Coco fanfic "Los Dos Ernestos", which is set in an alternate universe apart from the actual film, and the main protagonist.
History[]
He is the second of two children, born to Héctor and Imelda Rivera, and the younger brother of Socorro "Coco" Rivera. He was named after Héctor's childhood friend Ernesto de la Cruz, who, in the fanfic, died of food poisoning while taking Héctor to the train station after months of traveling on the road performing music all around Mexico.
