The Falcon Flyer is Captain Falcon's spacecraft used for finding crime activity. It comes with a computer as well. It is also used for carrying the Blue Falcon. It first appeared in the F-Zero manual but made its first appearance in-game in Super Smash Bros. Melee on the Big Blue stage. It also appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl during the Subspace Emissary, in the boss battle with Meta Ridley (from the Metroid series). In the F-Zero manual, the ship is piloted by a robot.
It was also seen in the anime a few times, mostly when Falcon infiltrates Dark Star.
Lotay is the name of the Flyer's AI in the fandub, F-Zero Overdrive.
Ikran's F-Zero timeline[]
The Falcon Flyer was Falcon's main method of transport, and Tinsel, Yugi, and Joey were the first people to see it in his fortress during Falcon's Followers. It was also seen during the Fake Star race as it caught Falcon and his machine as they were escaping from Pico's crashing blimp! Eventually, Rick saw it as well within Falcon's Fortress as he was training him on using the Booster Fire technique. It also caught Mr. EAD (BAD) as his Crushing Quasar fell off course during the Cosmo Terminal quarterfinals, even when it escorted Falcon, Rick, Kate and Beastman back to Earth, as well as having a scrimmage with EAD till Mighty Gazelle saved their hides! In the Lightning Championship, the ship's never used to enter since it'd get struck by the endless volleys, however, since Rick was imprisoned at Dark Star, it made a hot pursuit there then to Earth. It even aided the Galaxy Runner against Black Shadow's assaults as they infiltrated the evil lair, but it was the only vessel to breach it on account it stationed the remaining Reactor Mights of Light. Thanks to the Gazelle, it piloted it back to Port Town, after Falcon's sacrifice.
Since Rick accepted the mantle, he has used it for tracking bounty, even with his first mission involving the T-Virus. It also tagged along with Lily's own spacecraft as they made their way to Planet Giant in his 51st mission. It also remotely collected a specimen from the dead earth at Stark Farm and retrieved it to Mute City where it was analyzed.
It soon didn't have enough fuel and Rick and Tinsel met the Guardians of the Galaxy; Star-Lord offered to give them one of his Dilithium Crystals to power up the vessel in exchange for the aggressor and the bounty on his head.
Daemon Rising with a...SMASH![]
It also made some brief appearances during the Net War against Daemon. Falcon used it as transport thru the Web en route to Mainframe, though he and Ness were attacked by the Guardian Collective, causing them to bail and land in the Super Computer System. They dealt with a swarm of Sentries, as well as the Prime Guardian, Daecon, and his lethal staff! By the time, he unleashed the infection, they had to bail using the Blue Falcon, and the Flyer caught it within its maw as they escaped! They soon arrived at Final Destination to retrieve Mewtwo and Samus after Daemon spread out her infection upon her defeat, causing the ship taking a nosedive onto Mainframe and crash landed! While the presentation was underway celebrating the new heroes, it was repaired, and it left Mainframe for good.
