FierceDream. A violent dream.

When the world is silent the darkness will rise. The darkness will build a war with their powers. When the world is just blood and gore the darkness will rise. When the war has begun the light will shine.

Prologue.

“Do you have eggs? Like heirs?” Asked Alina, worried. The light angels needed heirs. Angel didn’t know what to answer. She was laying down on her yellow sunset throne.

“I’m alright!” Angel said, trying to calm everyone in the palace. Everyone was just running around, trying to get the palace done. Angel sighed because of all the stress around here. Her body hurt and her claws were all numb. She wouldn’t leave this palace without her eggs. There were two eggs. One was a prince and the other was a princess. The sunset had started and the eggs cracked.

Dawn had been working with her powers. Only a royalty could have these powers if they were lucky. She had felt lucky with her powers but they were dangerous. No one knows, not even the queen, queen Angel, her mom. She sat on the highest palace balcony. She heard someone down the hallway. She took her jar she would use her powers in and put them in her pouch.

“Dawn?” She heard queen Angel say down the hallway. What was she doing up here? Dawn peaked out from the wall. It was mom.

“Darling, what do you do up here?” Said Angel rushing to her. Angel took her talon under her chin. She tried to get her talon off her face by moving her feathers on her neck really fast.

“I could say the same for you.” Said Dawn, pushing Angels talon off her face. The sunset was shooting light at her.

“Anyway, it’s your hatching day today! Aren’t you coming?” Angel asked. Dawn hadn’t thought about it much but she wanted to show that it was important to her too.

“One minute!” Dawn said, looking out of the balcony. Angel flew away with her big white feather wings. The sunset was shining on all her feathers. Dawn smiled and looked out on the hallway. She spread her wings and flapped a little making her fly. Dawn was surprised that they didn’t forget her hatching day and the big feast. She flew away to the dining room. It was cold outside but the sun made her warm. Dawn flew away from the palace and to the dining room. The dining room was lit up with light from the sun. Dawn tok her wings to her body and dived as bravely as she was. She felt the wind against her scales and feathers. Dawn spread her wings and flew up as fast as she could to the dining room. Dawn landed on the edge of the dining room. The feast had started and she saw Angel on her throne. Angel saw Dawn and rushed to her as fast as she could.

“Dawn! Finally, I have waited a whole eternity!” Angel said, a little dramatically. Angel was a little too dramatic there.

“Actually one minute.” Dawn said, pointing to the ground. Angel hugged me with her wings. She let go of Dawn and flew to the throne. Dawn flew after her to the throne, high up in the dining room. Dawn and her sister, Aurora. She saw a white figure with a gold colour on her wingtip. It was Aurora. Aurora landed on the edge of the dining room. She ran up to me with her wings half spread out.

“You have been so big! I thought i couldn’t make it.” Aurora said, hugging her with her wings. Dawn was so surprised she came. How did they even know? They had done something but it was very secretive if Dawn would say so. Dawn would look out of the window and see guards coming in and out, decorating the dining room. Angel, Aurora and Dawn sat on the three thrones. Angel didn’t have any husbands and no one knows how she got eggs. Angel put her wing behind Dawn.

“The Aonani kingdom will shine the brightest this night and tomorrow there will be more light than ever.” Said Angel like an angel. Did she want everyone to notice that her hatchling day was. Dawn was quiet and never talked much but she still got a few dragons that understood her. Like Aurora and Angel. Dawn glanced at Aurora and saw her facing down to the shadow that was from the table. Dawn thought it looked weird just staring into a shadow. Dawn looked at the Angel after a strange feeling from the shadow. Angel was happy and cheerful. Dawn looked at the sunset from the entrance in the dining room. After the feast Dawn was tired. Dawn did just wanna go to bed. She layed on her soft throne and she felt the warmth  from her throne. Then she heard how someone landed outside her door. She thought that they crashed.

“Queen Angel!” Dawn heard someone say outside her door. Dawn had two doors and they were beside each other. She opened one as quietly as she could. She saw two guards. One guard looked exhausted and the other one was covered in blood with wings chopped off and there was blood everywhere. She was sure her eyes were narrowed by now. What's going on? Blood everywhere. She looked to the side of the hallway and saw Angel running to the guards.

“There was an assassin near the Nera mountains. We got the assassin but he keeps moving around in his cage so we need more guards.” Said the guard holding the dragon covered in blood. Angel looked terrified.

“Faro!” Angel screamed. Faro was the commander of the guards. Faro immediately rushed out from his room. He had probably seen the two guards by now. Faro rushed over and took them. He yelled something but she didn’t hear what he yelled. Another dragon came and took the one covered with blood.

“Assassin in the near the Nera mountains, guess I need to go.” Angel said. Dawn saw how Angel turned to her room and started walking to it. Dawn immediately ran to her throne and tried fake sleeping. She heard how the door opened behind her.

“Dawn? Wake up.” Said angel. Dawn looked at Angel with fake sleepy eyes.

“What’s going on?” Said Dawn, trying to be a little sleepy.

“So, I need to go to the Nera mountain peaks and catch something. It’s very important. Can you be alone and take care of our palace?” Said Angel, holding my talon. Dawn sighed.

“Just now? You said that we could spend some time together but ok.” Dawn said. She wanted to know what happened to the guards and the commander.

“Good. I will go grab my things and go then.” Said angel letting go of my talon. Angel walked out of my room. She looked at me one last time and she looked down on the ground and walked away.  Dawn just wanted to sleep and feel peace. But it was hard. The next morning she was woken up by guards holding someone in a cage. It must be the dragon that they had been talking about. The dragon in the cage roared and was trying to break out the cage.

“Let me go!” The dragon roared. The whole dragon was black and she thought she saw some red on his face. The dragons flew to Queen Angel’s dungeon. Every guard had at least one scar from that dragon in the cage. It must have been hard flying with that dragon. She walked out of her room and saw Alina, the Queen’s healer. Alina saw Dawn coming out.

“Dawn! Do not worry it’s all ok!” Alina said, running to her. She spread her wings so I couldn’t see.

“The queen said that I was going to take care of you but I have some dragons that need to be healed. so you can make breakfast, right?” Alina said, with a nervous laugh.

“Yes….” Dawn said.

“Great then I can go.” Alina said, running to the healing hut. She wanted to follow the guards to  Angels dungeon. She hid behind a plant and waited till they would go down. Then she saw Aurora. She looked angry. Aurora flew to the guards and said. “Don’t you have something to do! Your job is to be guards, not cowards that can barely walk! Don’t be like that coward in the cage. hes stupid and so are y’all to!”The dragon in the cage growled. Dawn was surprised. She had never seen Aurora like that. Dawn walked closer to another plant and ran to it to hide behind it. Aurora walked back to the thrones and just layed down taking a nap. Dawn looked back to the guards. They were gone. They had probably gone into the dungeon. Dawn looked out of the palace and into the dining room. She flew back to her room and made breakfast. Her room was quite big and she had a table with a kitchen. Normally, mom would make breakfast to her but she was alone so she needed to do it herself. She knew how to do it. She cooked some cows and ate them as fast as she could. She heard wingbeats from the dungeons. It was the guards that held the cage. But the cage was gone. She wanted to do something just because she was bored. she sat on her balcony, trying her powers. The magic was in the armor. The armor was made of gold and some blue sapphires along the edges. Dawn put on the armor on her head, along her spine and on her talons. When she would say something it would get it for her. It’s called the dragon amnesia. It was named before the kingdom even existed. It was an amnesia before you could use it as normal. She tried to say different things and it didn’t work. Dawn took a scroll from her pouch and rolled it up. It said “The dragon amnesia was created before the Aonani kingdom existed. It was an amnesia that could cause a huge storm going around the dragon making it slowly disappear. Someone figured out how to use it and now we have the dragon amnesia safe.” Who was that “someone” in the scroll. The world may never know. But Dawn wanted to know. She heard someone knock on the door.

“Someone there?” She heard Aurora's voice say. Dawn put all the things on her pouch and walked to the door. Dawn opened it to find Aurora standing a little confused. Should Dawn say that she has been acting weird? Dawn decided not to.

“How are you? You seem a bit facepalm.” Said Aurora. She didn’t want to hold a secret to Aurora but she must know what's going on. Dawn studied her for a bit.

“What? I’m fine if you wonder.” Mumbled Dawn. She wanted to close the door and scream as loud as she could.

“Well, if you say so. I’m going to training so you will be all alone with some guards on the levels above.” Said Aurora, pointing to the roof. Aurora flew away. Everyone was gone. Even Alina. If the guards only guarded the levels above, what about the dungeon. So the guards just let in an assassin that chops off wings and they just let him stay. Dawn looked out in the hallway to see no one there. She walked out and saw no one. She was looking at the place the guards had been when they held the assassin. She ran to the entrance of the dungeon. It was blood on the floor and it looked fresh. She heard someone roar down there. It was the same roar she heard in the morning. She flew down in the dungeon and saw cages along the walls. Some of them were electrified. She heard the same roar but on the left side of the dungeon. She walked to the prison slowly to not make the dragon hear her. She peaked her head around the bars and saw a black dragon with some red stripes along his wings. The black dragon sniffed in the air and looked back at her. The black dragon had been laying down with his tail against the bars.

“Ha! A little white feather just coming to just look. Doesn’t your mom say you are too little to be down here.” Said the black dragon. The dragon laughed so hard that she thought it wasn’t a joke.

“Well, my mother doesn’t send me to do something evil in the Nera mountains. She is the Queen after all.” Dawn said with a low growl. The dragon stopped laughing for a moment and looked surprised at her. The dragon just laughed harder and harder every time she tried to do something. He was crying because of how he laughed.

“I’m Blackburn. The prince of the Erebus tribe.” Blackburn said and stopped laughing.

“Dawn. Princess of the Angel watchers tribe.” Said Dawn. When she took a closer look at Blackburn he had stripes of red everywhere, around his eyes, along his spine, claws and he had some frills on his back legs and under his stomach.

“An Angel watcher. What do y’all do in this endless palace?” Said Blackburn looking around.

“None of your business.” Said dawn looking away from Blackburn. We did nothing really in this “endless” palace. When she thought about the tribe Erebus tribe, she had never heard of that tribe.

“Step down and think about it,” Blackburn said.

“I mean about the Erebus tribe.” Dawn had never heard that tribe never. She knew that there was a secret tribe but not the name.

“You are the first one to know that,” Blackburn said. Dawn wanted to step down. Was this war? What did he do in the Nera mountains? Dawn was shaking. Her eyes were narrowed and wide open. Dawn was shocked and terrified. Blackburn had turned his back on Dawn. It felt like the ground was falling apart and the world was silent. Dawn flew away, scared and pointless. Erebus tribe. Assassin. War. The words were spinning around and around her head. She flew as fast as she could to her room. Those words were as scary as the world. Erebus. Assassin and war. She could barely fly or talk. She landed on her balcony and ran immediately to her bed. She was laying down, shaking and stuttering. She heard wingbeats outside her door. She couldn’t see anything. Her heart was beating fast. Her talons were wet and numb. She heard someone walking to her room. the walking came to a stop as someone said.

“Aurora, aren’t you busy? You don’t know what you are doing.”

Was that commander Faro. What was Aurora doing here? Isn’t she on training?

“You should see me in a crown. Ruling the Aonani kingdom. She has enough things. It’s my turn to shine.” Dawn heard Aurora say. What was Aurora gonna do with me? Dawn heard how someone ran to Aurora.

“You don't have a crown. You are useless. Send her to the prison.” Commander Faro said. Dawn saw that her door was a little open. Aurora was pinned to the ground. Dawn knew she needed to get out of here. She heard how they growled at each other. Dawn looked out on them fighting. Aurora claws Faro on his snout and bited him in the neck. It was blood everywhere. Aurora pinned Faro to the ground.

“You know, I had hopes that you could help me get the crown of the Aonani kingdom. But I guess I need to do it myself.” Aurora said. Aurora snapped Faros neck. He was dead. Dawn was terrified for real this time. She was gonna go for me next. I need to get out of here, now. Ran out and flew away as fast as she could. She heard how her door slammed open to her room. She looked on her balcony and saw Aurora searching for Dawn. She looked back, scared and stuttering. When she flew past the dungeons she heard someone say.

“Are you leaving?” Dawn knew that it was Blackburn. She came up to a stop. She looked in the dungeon, startled. Dawn flew down to the entrance, surprised. She looked at Blackburns cage.

“Why can’t you free me. I have something important to do.” Blackburn said, hopelessly.

“Only if you help me.” Dawn said, confident. She was still scared of what happened. Did Aurora see me flying in here?

There is chaos in the palace. It’s a nightmare.” Dawn said pointing out at the sky with her wing.

“Ok. But I can’t promise everything.” Blackburn said. The palace dungeon had locks that only a royalty or a commander could let anyone out. Dawn put her talon on the bars and on the locks. The bars opened by itself. Blackburn walked out of the cage and stretched his wings. He looked at Dawn and smiled.

“Follow me.” Dawn said, flying. Blackburn nodded and followed Dawn. Dawn flew to the Nera mountains to get out of the Aonani kingdom. The sun was going down and the moon was going up. She heard wingbeats behind her. She looked back and saw Aurora covered in blood. Dawn and Blackburn were near the Nera mountains. Dawn felt how someone grabbed her wings. It was Aurora that had grabbed them. Aurora dived to the ground. Dawn tried to scream for help but she couldn’t talk. Dawn was pinned to the ground covered in blood.

“You know, I don’t need to kill you if you just leave. and never come back.” Aurora said. Dawn didn’t answer. Dawn had her eyes closed because of how scared she was. Dawn heard how someone came flying from the sky. It was something black with red stripes. Blackburn. She opened her eyes to see Aurora dead and Blackburn covered in blood. Blackburn took Dawn's talon and flew away. Dawn followed him to the Nera mountain as fast as they could. They had crashed on the edge of the Nera mountain, tired and all covered in blood. The Nera mountains had some lakes they could wash themselves in. Dawn was laying down, Blackburn was just conscious.

“It’s over. Don’t be so much down. I can expla-'' Blackburn said. Was he hiding something?

“I don’t want to hear.” Dawn said. Dawn had her talons over her snout. She wanted to get over with this. I’m going to take the next step.

“I can’t stay here. Not you either.” Dawn said.

Epilogue.

Angel was dirty and tired. There had been no sign of an assassin in the Nera mountains. Angel landed on the edge of the palace with guards after her. The first thing she noticed was commander Faro laying on the ground, blood everywhere and there was no one there.

“Angel!” She heard Alinas voice say down the hallway. Angel saw how Alina came running from her healing hut.

“Someone killed Faro and Aurora and the assassin is gone and Dawn too!” Alina said, panicked. Dawn? Aurora? Faro? Angel's eyes were probably narrowed by now.

“Who dares kill them! Dawn? Where is she!” Angel said, spreading out her wings. Angel roared with frustration. Angel walked to her throne with Alina following her.

“No sign of her body everywhere. The assassin is also gone.” Alina said, pointing on Dawn's room and the dungeon. Angel got to a stop and ran to Dawn’s room.

“Dawn!” Angel said, shouting and roaring. Angel spread her wings to open the door. She searched everywhere and found nothing. Angel looked out on the balcony and saw something on the ground. Is that Aurora? Angel flew down to the dead body. It was Aurora’s dead body with a bloody neck. It looked like it had been stabbed by a sharp tail. No one in the Angel watchers had sharp tails. Angel had seen a sharp tail on the prisoner some days ago. Had the prisoner taken Dawn? But what happened to Aurora? No one can open the cages except for the royals and the commander. Does that mean that the prisoner and Dawn fleed? The commander's neck was snapped by someone but who? Isn’t the stab technique better? Or was it two assassins. Did Dawn kill commander Faro? Did they flee together? There could only be two persons that could have killed the commander. Alina or dawn.

“Guards. Put Alina in prison.” Angel said.
