This little bug bot was loosely based on Juni Cortez's robot from Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams.
Ikran's F-Zero timeline[]
Tek was only introduced in Ikran's F-Zero timeline. In F-Zero Climax, it was stated that Clank had a robot assistant while he was piloting the Dragon Bird EX. Although it was never shown in the game nor the end of the anime. So, she decided to name it Tek, Clank's name in the English dubs on the FoxBox. She decided to have it as his technical assistant, and it was only seen during Rick's and Tinsel's wedding in To Be Married and Loved. He wanted it to record footage of the wedding and reception at the old Mute City Knight League circuit!
