Flying Nimbus (筋斗雲 'Kintōun', lit. "Somersault Cloud") is a magical, yellow cloud that serves as a way of transportation. Goku obtains the Nimbus from Master Roshi as compensation for saving Turtle. It served Goku and his sons well throughout Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, by acting as a way for them to fly around at high speeds without using up any energy. The Nimbus makes sporadic appearances in Dragon Ball Super, and has one last brief appearance, alongside the Power Pole, in Dragon Ball GT at the closing scene of the last episode, when Goku flies off on it. The Flying Nimbus also appears in the parody manga Dragon Ball SD.

Since Ayame had a pure heart, she was able to ride the Nimbus, and it always came to her whenever she should summon it. From heading thru the train station and tunnel, to avoiding the Mikado maze, to following the Air-Carrier to the hanging garden and escaping it after the defeat by Dauragon. Even when she returned to Mount Paozu and headed back there with Goten and Trunks. She summoned it again as she followed the new Air-Carrier and attacked Mugetsu en route to the Galeos.
She used it again to test which Bouncers can ride it, and Kou was the only one who fell thru it! They returned to Dog Street, then she used it to head to The Lookout, even noticing Wong no longer at the Mikado Dome. She let Sion and Dominique ride it to Capsule Corp for the operation. And finally, when Ayame and the Saiyan kids said goodbye to the heroes!
In the Black-Hooded Sion Saga, Ayame used it as she noticed someone's power level was decreasing. She even used it in the case of emergency as she was falling after being attacked by Jet Black's dark ki diminishing her light ki used for flight. Heck, Sion rode it to the Mikado maze after HE conjured it! Lastly, Ayame soared away from looking over Sion and Dominique at Wong's homestead, going thru the sunset.
In the Yakuza Saga, Ayame used it as she was following the source of the dark ki, which led her, Leann and Echidna to Mikado and into a Yakuza Kamikaze ambush!! It was then she lost the Nimbus and got stranded at the hanging garden! According to Korin, he houses a massive Nimbus Cloud where a new Nimbus can be used; Ayame's Nimbus was the 2nd cloud used mostly by Goku, Gohan and Goten. The 1st was destroyed by Tambourine of the Red Ribbon Army.
