Fox McCloud is a red fox and the main protagonist of the Star Fox series. He is sometimes referred to by the name of Star Fox, especially by his many enemies. He is additionally a pilot, combatant, adventurer, and the leader of the Star Fox team. Fox is the son of James McCloud, who edified him throughout his childhood to never give up. Fox McCloud was a cadet at the Cornerian Defense Army Academy when he heard the news that his father, James McCloud, had met a violent end at the hands of the twisted genius, Andross. The senior McCloud had been betrayed by his own wingman, Pigma Dengar, and delivered into a deadly trap from which there was seemingly no escape. Only James's wingman, Peppy Hare, managed to limp home in his badly damaged starfighter. As the only survivor of the original Star Fox Team, Peppy insisted that the young Fox take on the leadership of the group and form a new team of pilots. Thrust into the leadership role that he wasn't prepared for; Fox recruited the hot-tempered Falco Lombardi and the mechanical genius Slippy Toad to make up the new Star Fox Team. For a price, this crack group will fight against any threat to the Cornerian star system. Although it may appear that the Star Fox Team is motivated only by financial gain, it will only accept missions that serve to uphold justice.
Daemon Rising with a...SMASH![]
Fox was first seen as Samus visited Cornerian City where she found him and Falco sparring atop of the Great Fox. She halted the fight and informed them Akari and Master Hand needed them as there was the super virus, Daemon, whose goal is to infect the whole Net, including the Smash System. Fox remembered Akari as she enlisted some of her Pokémon in the Smash tourneys, so he enlisted the team's support for the battle.
He and Falco used their Arwings and headed to the rendezvous point at Peach's Castle. Master Hand then informed the group the Net's 92% infected! He felt there was no hope on saving the System and the Guardian was powerless. However, Falco and Fox still considered to fight her. Their friends encouraged them and their Smasher comrades to keep fighting. So, they ventured into the Web and from the Guardian fleet, Fox was separated and had to bail into Mainframe; as soon as there was a rip in the Firewall as Mouse's Ship soared out, he soared in! He then landed in the Kits Sector.
Nanos later, a Game Cube was landing and he and Link Jr. departed. He met up with Enzo, Frisket and Hack & Slash, and they were amazed the Sprites can reboot! He followed their lead and turned into a Barret lookalike and was very impressed of his beefy muscles and machine gun replacing his right limb. He led them into the Shinra Mako plant and fought off the Shinra soldiers to the top floor. He also assisted to destroy the security Scorpion and activate the self-destruct sequence! He noticed the User and summoned his Arwing and soared to it. He made all the difference as he shot the Safer Sephiroth with lasers and nova bombs, even stopping a Supernova!
He even convinced Enzo to stay in Mainframe and leave the Game against Dot's orders, as he never wanted hm to compile as the aggressor, Matrix. He also spotted and saved Donkey Kong getting mangled. Luckily Samus and Mewtwo won the war over! He wished to see the little Sprite again.
