Frost is a female Lin Kuei warrior in the Mortal Kombat fighting game series, who made her debut in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance.

Frost made her first appearance in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance as Sub-Zero's apprentice, fitting the character archetype of the overly ambitious fledgling. Her dedication to fighting and learning is overshadowed by her desire to be noticed, and a corresponding hostility towards anyone she perceives to be greater than her, including her own master.

In the second timeline, Sub-Zero made historic peace with his clan's enemy, Scorpion. Frost, shocked at this decision, challenged her Grandmaster, deeming him unfit to lead. Sub-Zero defeated her, however, and banished her. For years, she sought the power to destroy him.

Her chance at domination arrived when Kronika enlisted her in order to help her reset the timeline, promising Frost that she would lead the Lin Kuei, not Sub Zero. Frost was heavily cyberized by Kronika, helping Sektor and Cyrax restart the Cyber Initiative in accordance with Kronika’s plan. She was used by Raiden to interface with the other cyborgs, shutting them down and removing the threat they posed to his resistance against Kronika.

Most of her personal flaws appear to stem from jealousy and feelings of inadequacy. Although she was ostensibly on the side of good at the time of her introduction, Frost's desire for recognition causes her to betray Sub-Zero (in both timelines) and join the side of darkness.

Mortal Kombat: Vengeance[]

Frost won over the honorable Lin Kuei warriors in a small tournament. Sub-Zero brought her to come along with him to Outworld to avenge Liu Kang and defend all realms from his old nemeses, Shang Tsung and Quan Chi. She's not necessarily like how she was portrayed in the games, as she's grateful to be Kuai's prodigy and partner while Smoke holds the fort. She was proven as a positive and independent feminist as a rookie for the Lin Kuei, and even opened up to Sonya and Aiko; she too was impressed on having a rare cardiokinetic around. Hanzo wished for Kuai to take Smoke since Frost was only still a trainee, and the fact she was a woman; however, she was determined to prove herself and take the blame if the worst should happen. Hanzo was convinced that two of the same elementals may confuse the enemy. Frost joined with her Grandmaster and Hanzo to Outworld.

Frost and Kuai immediately went to Kung Lao's aide as he was suffering from fatigue and his tepid temperature from Liu Kang using his vessel to fight against Lao's Revenant. Kuai rapidly cooled down the outside, and she offered Lao to drink her canister of Arctika water, which gave him almost instant relief. She still stuck with her allies into Outworld, and soon into Edenia where she met Kitana and Jade!

While fighting the Onis, she and Kuai worked well together fending them off. Afterwards, she suggested the heroes should take the tree lines in order to provide them cover from ambushes. However, Sonya advised for the heroes to traverse straight thru the Wastelands instead, in which Kitana reprimanded as the terrain was easier to go thru, and they wouldn't be ambushed as much, not to mention that Hanzo might incinerate the entire forest and share Kuai's lecture that a Kombatant must regard his environment, while also having Jax uproot and topple the trunks. She soon began to ease up as the group took in Kitana's words. She then followed a sudden aftershock, and came up to Lao, Aiko and Bo' Rai Cho! She too was disgusted on him abandoning the Shaolin and being banned from the Academy, not even no longer looking out for Lao and Liu! She was worried that what if the Lin Kuei Grandmaster would do the same... She was one of the heroes that assured the Orientals they shouldn't be ashamed due to his fall from grace,

Sub-Zero and Frost provided the team with frigid drinks to keep it hydrated. Thanks to the Dragon Medallion, it was no trouble for the Grandmaster nor the apprentice, even when keeping the group cool as long as they stuck close to the icy air. She also assisted on the escape, with Kuai, as they unleashed their cryomancy onto the savage Mekeba tribe while Kenshi stole the Dragonfly!

Frost was then seen sparring with the Grandmaster, before the ship landed near a dormant volcano. Sonya and Jax spotted the golden shimmer which they believed it belonged to Cyrax! Sub-Zero volunteered to lead the hunt and Frost stayed beside him, even when they'd reached the thermal caverns. Kuai warned if the intense heat should be too much, she should get out! Nevertheless, she stayed, and declared she'd much rather stay as an imperfect human than enhanced by machinery, to which Sub-Zero admired! Until she was horrified as she watched her master leap into the magma after Cyrax! She left as the intense heat was too much! But luckily, Kuai was saved by Hanzo while Cyrax returned to Earthrealm.

Unlike the other Kombatants, she and Kuai escaped the doomed Dragonfly via their own ice slates instead of Kung Lao's Teleport. She remained unscathed along with the Grandmaster. She was even impressed that Hanzo and Baraka teamed up to defeat the Onis!

She still stuck by Sub-Zero as the group were engaged with the Tarkatan army. then Kitana should give them a brief respite. He still stuck by Frost and the Grandmaster grew worried if Hanzo should cave into his wraith form if he should deal with Quan Chi. Unfortunately, his angsts had been justified as he became Scorpion once more... He eventually heard while he was healing Kenshi's ribcage wound with Frost of Hanzo's unfortunate fate in the Soulnado. Although, after a moment of silence for Liu Kang, he announced to the Lin Kuei he was proud on having Frost as his most promising apprentice and wished for her to fight alongside him again.

Members of the clan, even Tomas, could've sworn they saw Frost's and Kuai's crystallized eyes as they gazed into each other and slowly closed in before they kissed and made a warm embrace... Kuai and Frost were officially a couple!

This idea was mostly inspired by Sub-Zero's and Frost's teamwork in Mortal Kombat: Reconciliation.

Return of the Dragon King[]

Frost was seen at the Lin Kuei throne room beside Kuai and Smoke as the guards alerted them of a girl seeking asylum. To their astonishment, she was thin, named Sareena, and a demon defecting from the Netherrealm. She was intrigued by her, but due to the rumors of Onaga being resurrected, Sareena asked for Kuai's help on finding the predicament of Bi-Han, now known as Noob Saibot. Kuai then queried his apprentices if they should come, and they accepted. The quartet arrived in Outworld where her previous portal stood next to ancient runes of resurrecting Onaga and his undead army; the heroes were flabbergasted the Deadly Alliance were successful despite being slain. As soon as the portal opened to the underworld, Kuai hesitated and offered Frost and Tomas to stay in Outworld, uncertain they can withstand the infernal atmosphere and not have tainted souls. They waited for Kuai's return, although they noticed an intruder scuffling; they were ordered to never hesitate to fire on the first sign of danger. Although it only turned out to be Nightwolf who was about to prepare for the lethal Sin Eater ritual. Nevertheless, the pair offered to assist him.

They were still anxiously awaiting their Grandmaster when Baraka barged in! He assured them he despised Onaga and his undead army, even his own clan assisting them, instead of fending for themselves and having Kahn's more lively associates. Frost felt sorry for Nightwolf he had to leave his tribe since they weren't supportive of him attaining higher learning, thus being a tech geek! She was so relieved, even embraced Kuai, as soon as he returned with Sareena; they all volunteered to fend off Onaga's army with the Saurians, Shokan and Centaurs!

After Smoke made the sneak attack and Kuai used his Dragon Medallion to freeze most of his opponents, Frost and Sareena pitched in for close combat! She was agile using her icicle daggers, until she was bested by Sonya and Jax, in which the Grandmaster urged her and the demon to do so. Luckily, she was saved by Khameleon. By the time the war subsided, she was escorted to the Sky Temple and waited for her comrades' recovery on the summit. She soon reunited when the former monks recuperated.

Final Kombat[]

Frost met up with the stranger, Taven, as the grandmaster greeted him in from the blizzard. She still remained with them, Smoke and Sareena when the storm passed and noticed the monolith. They went to it and didn't expect him to disappear inside it! They were shortly after addressed by Raiden who wanted to make a serious pep talk with the best warriors, and let Sareena meet up with Ashrah.

She was soon summoned with Kuai and Smoke to meet Raiden near a portal to the Dragon Grotto. She reunited with the Shaolin warriors, Hanzo and Kenshi before she declared they must take out their enemies early before Armageddon. Raiden stated it would be ineffective, as they'd be resurrected soon after. He eventually decided to espionage the Netherrealm with Aiko, Kung Lao, Frederick and Hanzo in tow.

Frost and company returned to Arctika as Lao, Aiko and Caro recovered in the Dragon Grotto. She was the most enthusiastic as the three Lin Kuei ninjas escorted Kuai's long-lost brother, Bi-Han! She even offered to show him around, although there was still Armageddon to prepare for. She seemed to be the most confident that with their combined cryomancy, Blaze won't stand a chance!

She rode the Netherwing to the southern crater and came to Kuai's and Bi-Han's aid over Oniro! After Rain was sucker punched by Stryker, she fought off the so-called prince!

She was at a draw until she was taken off guard by Liu's fire cocoon in conjunction with Blaze's eruption. She was soon recovered by Cetrion's rainfall. She accepted Bi-Han to still be in the fold even though he decided to train himself in Delia's temple. She still was an ally to Earthrealm several years later, and she even bore a kid with Kuai!
