Gangrene was only seen along with Bones Jackson, Chita, and Galileo as they were infiltrating Ziktor Industries. Only to be ambushed by Grimlord's three female agents who transformed into Skugs, and soon Ultra Skugs. Gangrene used his kicks and tail own to fight off the trio, making them disappear as they made contact, never to be seen again. He impatiently waited as Galileo absorbed the dark energy from the Pyramid of Empowerment, until it fired toward the Dark Fortress. Gangrene took out a couple Rumble Fumble grenades, alarming Jackson and Chita on blowing up the office. He then loaded them up as Juliet, assuming she was an Alien, was taken out. Gangrene figured he should let Grimlord's pet iguana, Juliet, go, though Jackson thought it was a bad idea as she'll affect the fauna. It was eventually decided Tao shall keep her as a pet. Then, he and Jackson fled as Tao pulled up in his Great Wall Peri.
