Ganondorf, also known as Ganon in his beastly pig form, is a fictional character and the main antagonist of Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda video game series. In his Gerudo (Humanoid) form, he is known as Ganondorf, and is the final boss in many Zelda titles.
In the games, the character alternates between two forms: "Ganon," a massive, demonic boar-like creature; and "Ganondorf," a tall, heavily built member of the Gerudo, a race of humanoid desert nomads. Ganon is the archenemy of the series' main protagonists, Link and Princess Zelda, and the leader of the Gerudo. His specific motives vary from game to game, but most often involve capturing Princess Zelda and planning to conquer Hyrule and the world at large. To this end, he seeks the Triforce, an omnipotent artifact that grants any wish its bearer desires, and usually manipulates several other villains to realize his ambitions.
In most games, he possesses the Triforce of Power, a third of the full Triforce that gives him godlike strength, boundless mystical power, and invulnerability to all but the most powerful sacred weapons, such as the Master Sword. The character has been well received by critics, becoming one of the most popular and recognizable villains in gaming.
Ikran's Lost OoT/Pokémon crossover[]
He was the main villain of the lost crossover, as he betrayed the King of Hyrule, Zelda's dad, as she foreshadows a nightmare of him symbolizing stormy clouds. The dream became reality as Impa and Zelda escaped Hyrule Castle with Ganondorf losing them in the distance. Link, Zelda II, and her Pokémon encountered him for the first time, and they knew he's not a force to be reckoned with. He also snuck into the Sacred Realm after Link, Zelda II and Navi opened the way and lifted the Master Sword, making them slip into a seven-year sleep. Ganondorf gained access to the Triforce thanking them!

Ganondorf using the Triforce of Power enticing the Gerudo and brainwashing Link
Within 7 years, he ruined all of Hyrule and brought on curses to the temples. Enemies became more powerful, till the six Sages were awakened. During that time, he even made a phantasm of himself at the Forest Temple, and his darkness over Hyrule has hindered some of the Pokémon's adaptations, including some evolutions, or sapping the Psychic-Types, or even disabling Solarbeams. He once dissuaded Link saying that he killed Zelda and was too late to save her, though Zelda II and Navi doubted it without proof, as thieves tend to lie; yet, it still wavered Link's hopes. He even tried his hand on making the Trainer very sick after her victory at the Shadow Temple, but thanks to advanced science from her homeworld, she survived. Heck, he and the Gerudo brainwashed Link once and used his inexperience with infatuation to persuade him as one of their warriors, till Mewtwo knocked some sense into him. With the help of Link and the awakened Sages, they were finally able to create a bridge leading to his Castle!
All Pokémon were rescued, and soon Link came face to face with the man of evil, the one responsible for destroying all of Hyrule, even casting a curse on his guardian, the Great Deku Tree! Out of vengeance and the sake of saving those he cherished, he fought Ganondorf with everything he had, barely surviving the ordeal! As he was being sealed into the Sacred Realm, he soon turned it corrupt, into the Dark World. He had his revenge disguised as Agahnim, brainwashing all the Hyrulean soldiers, capturing and vanishing the seven Sages, and altering some of the Pokémon's adaptations. Link faced him 3 times, twice in the Pyramid of Power, though he realized it'd be all for naught, as he learned he's the descendant of Demise, and how he, Ganon, and Zelda'd be resurrected repeating the warring cycle! So, Link allowed all 3 wielders of the Triforce to pass on simultaneously. Only Zelda II had the True Force, reuniting the relic, and wishing to undo everything Ganon has done, including reviving Link and Zelda, and permanently undoing the curse.
Daemon Rising with a...SMASH![]
Ganondorf was shown for a short while as Link and Zelda were fending off the Hyrule Temple in the Smash System. Though, Mario came to their aid and recruited the two Hylians for the upcoming Net War. The sequence was based off of the Event Match in Melee, Triforce Gathering.
Trivia[]
- Ganondorf has made it as one of Ikran's favorite video game villains. As well as obviously one of her Black Characters.
- It may be possible Shao Kahn has drawn inspiration from him, the main villain from the Mortal Kombat series. Arrogant and zealous, intimidating, uses magic, rules realms with an iron fist, conquering, his outlook and attire, the works!
- It's also possible that Ganon's Castle was roughly inspired by Shao Kahn's Fortress, whether it'd be the dark aesthetics, the swirling portal aloft, and the devs of Ocarina of Time could've drawn inspiration from MK3/Trilogy since MK4/Mythologies were considered to be disappointments.
