Great Fairy Fountain

Great Fairy Fountain

Great Fairies, also known as Guardian Spirits, are recurring characters in The Legend of Zelda series. They are large humanoid Fairies. Their main purpose is to heal Link whenever he is wounded and will also recover his Magic Power in games that incorporate a Magic Meter. In other titles, such as Ocarina of Time and The Wind Waker, they also bless Link with new items, powers, or upgrades of his existing equipment. The Great Fairies' appearance differ vastly between games, and most of them can be found living within a Great Fairy Fountain.

Ikran's Lost OoT/Pokémon crossover[]

Great Fairies were found all around Hyrule in secret caverns. The first one encountered was at the summit of Death Mountain, whom granted Link, the Royal Family's messenger, to gift him the ability to use magic and give him and Zelda II caution on using items that consume magic.

The second one was in a crawlspace before Hyrule Castle beyond boulders destroyed by Bombs. She gifted him the ability to use Din's Fire. The third one was inside Death Mountain Crater after the Fire Temple, smelt by Arcanine and Link had to use the Megaton Hammer ridding the boulders, where she enhanced his magic abilities making the items last longer, even for Zelda II. The fifth one was encountered at the Desert Colossus west from the Spirit Temple, and Link learned Nayru's Love there, much to Zelda II's surprise. The last one was found by Mewtwo after Link disabled all the Barriers; outside of Ganon's Castle, Mewtwo was able to sense it with the darkness diminished, and it was fortunate since she increased Link's strength! Later on, the Trainer and some of her healing Pokémon visited there as an emergency healing Link and Princes Zelda.

The Lost Legend of Namira[]

One was visited at the Desert Colossus by Zelda II, and guided by Mewtwo after he helped her get rid of Leevers. She was too weak since Namira corrupted all of Hyrule, though she gave them directions to Namira's lair, although they needed Electrode's Self-Destruct to make a passageway.
