Harry Dalton is a fictional character appearing in the 1997 film Dante's Peak, from which he serves as the protagonist. He is portrayed by Pierce Brosnan.
Biography[]
Harry Dalton is a Volcanologist working with the United States Geological Survey.
Prior to the events of the film, Harry and his fiancée Marianne, alongside other volcanologists were in Colombia monitoring the activity of a volcano. A sudden eruption caused the group to have to flee from their residence, during which Marianne was tragically struck in the head by a volcanic bomb, killing her instantly.
Four years later, Harry is sent to the fictional town of Dante’s Peak, Washington, by his employer Dr. Paul Dreyfus to investigate seismic activity suspected to be caused by a neighboring dormant stratovolcano.

- Back in '97, Ikran and her late mom often mistakenly compared Harry to Bill from yesteryear's disaster movie, Twister. They looked so similar, yet the actors remained completely different.
