Havik is a character in the Mortal Kombat fighting game series, who made his debut in Mortal Kombat: Deception.
Hailing from the Chaosrealm, Havik is a Cleric of Chaos and an anarchist. Neither good nor evil, his ambitions are only to spread discord, and he will ally himself with those who can seek to further his ends, regardless of their goals. He is known to be a frequent troublemaker in Seido (the Realm of Order) and is heralded as a hero by the populace of the Chaosrealm, where he has formed an alliance with the revolutionary Darrius. He opposes the Dragon King, Onaga, who rules by order, and he rivals Hotaru, the Seidan guardsman.
A new version of Havik returns in Mortal Kombat 1, marking his return to the franchise as a playable character for the first time in over 17 years. In the new timeline, Havik hails from the Orderrealm. His backstory is extended upon and partially amalgamated with that of the Seidan Dairou, whose name Havik now shares as his real name, as well as his history as a member of Seido. A member of its lowest caste, Havik was driven by anger due to its laws. Havik sets out to destroy Seido's regime, replacing it with an anarchist utopia and freeing its citizens.
Titan Havik makes a cameo appearance at the end of Mortal Kombat 1, possibly as a sneak peek as the main antagonist for its DLC plot.

Return of the Dragon King[]
Havik was found by Hanzo and a light-headed Kung Lao. The latter's mind was shifting in and out of reality, hardly telling which encounter was real; either Havik challenging Hanzo to a duel or asking a favor to Shujinko by converting the Seidan Guards to the ways of Chaos while restoring his water supply and then taking him on. He also misshaped Hanzo as either him or a mirrored version of Havik wearing an orange yellow outfit like his Crusader garb. Either way, Havik was bested in battle and was intrigued that the former Scorpion broke the shackles Quan Chi had over him by his own hands! He was, however, disgusted when Hanzo informed him of Onaga's resurrection, as his undead cronies are always submissive to order and no freedom and strong will. As long as he could find Dairou and Darrius, as well as oppose Hotaru, he may be able to help.
Havik encountered Onaga for the first time as Lao was being chased by him thru the distorted utopia, even disturbing the denizens as they were praying the God of Chaos. Havik became glorified and ordered his cronies to decimate Onaga's army in Outworld. He met up with Lao, Goro, Ermac, Liu's spirit, and Hanzo within the Nexus and bust thru the team to relish in the fight! He even admired his dislocated and broken limbs as he reattached them and gained more energy as he performed his uncanny and smiteful skills. He was still weakened at times, allowing the other Kombatants to assist. At first, he objected Liu's strategy destroying each of the Kamidogu, as he held them as keys to Chaos opposing Onaga, until the Orderrealm's and his pendants shattered. By the time Onaga was oozed out of Reptile, Havik was intrigued on killing him, until he was caught in Ermac's soul kinesis before being kicked in the chest and sent back into the Chaosrealm! He actually admired the impact and looked forward to the next warring moment of Chaos.
Final Kombat[]
Havik was seen inside the top floor of Shinnok's Spire, wounded by Taven and left for dead. Hanzo and Lao recognized him and offered Aiko to restore his health. He was actually appalled by their "pity;" as a result, Lao punched him which Havik seemed to admire his unpredictability. He admired he remembered the ways of chaos, and Hanzo offered to take him to the Chaosrealm for restoration; Caro conjured the portal there. Havik warned his associates, Dairou and Darrius, turned on him; he was chasing after the duo as they went into the Netherrealm, until he lost them upon Taven's assault and Shinnok offering to kill him. He believed that Shinnok's methods were a matter of order and thus converted them as such, much like Onaga's methods.
Hanzo assisted Havik to reconvert Dairou and Darrius within the Chaosrealm; it's likely he conjured a portal to the southern Edenian crater, and the trio charged into the fray taking out whatever enemy in his way. That was until he was compromised and evenly matched with Hotaru. The conflict was so overwhelming that his associates began to kill themselves in a stupor!
Trivia[]
- It's ironic that Ikran likes Havik due to his ferocity, lethal, unique moves, and chaotic nature; contrary to Hotaru's persona, since she prefers organization over disarray. However, not to the point on being strict, monotonous, and perhaps a mix between a Soviet and Jehovah.
- His source code description in MK1 is Liberation.
