Hitmonchan (Japanese: エビワラー Ebiwaraa) is a Fighting-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I.

Hitmonchan evolved from one of the 3 Tyrogues that Mewtwo trained in order to adapt as Ganondorf took over Hyrule. Like the other Hitmon fighters, he lived in Kakariko Village until the land was restored. He trained in the outskirts near the Temple of Time and assisted the Carpenters on rebuilding the Castle, Town and Market.

Hitmonchan, along with Akari's other Fighting-Types, lost against the new threat named Lens. Until Old Man Pearson settled matters on him being the missing Codemaster.
