Howard Kubelik is a recurring character in The Powerpuff Girls, father to River Kubelik and the deceased Flower Kubelik.
Before Season 2[]
Howard's daughter Flower died in a car accident roughly one year prior. Since then, Howard focused all of his energy is keeping his family afloat amidst the crisis, especially his remaining daughter River.
Season 2[]
After River displayed her locket on live television after her gymnastic meet in which she successfully won a spot at the regional competition, Sarah Bellum and John Utonium arrived in Sherwood, Oregon disguised as FBI agents in order to convince her to stop. Howard cordially invited them in and even had his wife Sunset bring them cups of coffee. The mood changed suddenly when Utonium suggested confiscating the locket, sending River into a rage. Howard calmly ordered them to leaving. That night, Sarah broke into the house and stole the locket while River slept, but the next day, during River's live interview with Dan Segallos, it is revealed that the Kubelik family planned for Sarah to steal a fake locket when River once again displayed the real locket to the camera. Blossom caught this footage that very night and immediately left for Oregon.
Blossom first went to Utonium's hotel room for answers, but when he refused, Blossom ran to the Kubelik house, where she was welcomed back with open arms as Flower. By the time Utonium and Sarah arrived at the house, the Kubeliks had call Detective Sam Woods, who arrested the two after Howard indicated that he would stop at nothing to preserve his family.
The next day, Howard and the family prepared a huge breakfast for Blossom. As the family sat down to breakfast, Howard shot down River's plans for going out with her sister, insisting that Tracy Fairburn and Randall Hoffman be informed before anyone else. Howard explained to Blossom that Tracy was her best friend and Randall was her boyfriend. Later that day, with Sam Woods over as well, Tracy was invited over, but fainted upon seeing Blossom. Randall burst in moments later, refusing to believe that Blossom was Flower and Howard told him to leave. Woods escorted him out.
