During this story, there have been some events that weren't mentioned in the main timeline, as Ikran hadn't come up with these bonus ideas at the time. Because they were random ideas that came up late. So, she decided to come up with these mini episodes known as Fanfic Deleted Scenes, which only belonged to her stories, like a DVD having extras and bonus content, but as a series of oneshots.

These are just a series of onesies that have been nagging Ikran for quite a while now.

Lap 1[]

The first chronological event was actually in her all-time favorite place, Port Town, after the events of Tanaka in Trouble!

Inside the Diamond Star cruiser, Kate Alen's concert resumed full swing after the incident when Zoda, Octoman, Bio Rex and Pico got their stolen bounty retrieved and had Tanaka saved. Although, this never fazed Tinsel as one thing caught her interest: the beautiful landscape of Port Town! Before the cruiser should enter orbit after sailing across the space harbor, she excused herself and headed to the underside just to watch the dazzling scenery in peace. Later on, Rick followed after her and she spotted her gazing out over the guardrails. She was surprised to see him, and she wanted to show him the nostalgic environment that enamored her since she first saw it during the Queen League tournament 13 years ago.

As he watched the scenery with her, even he was intrigued, and he soon understood as how it was such a great place to her. The announcement broke the silence that the guardrails shall close before the ship orbits Planet Nintae. They then headed back up to the concert hall.

Lap 2[]

This was a deep and tragic tale Ikran made, and also her best friend, TheRevivedRacer, help create.

In the Galaxy Runner, Rick and Tinsel were sleeping on a long chair. The space carrier was approaching Earth and Deathborn and Dark Star were obliterated off the face of the universe! Jody and Dr. Stewart came in and woke up the couple, by her with a flashlight from her maglet. They said they'll be approaching Earth and the vessel would submerge soon. Rick was still drained over the last battle as well as grief for Falcon. Tinsel asked what would happen to Haruka's corpse, which had the same yellow and pink dress she had 150 years ago, courtesy of Jody, Lucy and others giving her a makeover. Stewart said that she shall be buried in the nearest funeral home in Mute City, and Tinsel escorted Rick back home in her Silver Comet since he was still too numb to use his machine; EAD volunteered to pull his vehicle out of the main hull.

As the couple were heading home, Rick reflected on Dr. Clash's apparent suicide during one race... The late engineer kept begging him to end his life as he already strapped himself into the cockpit and a blinking detonator was about to go off if he should cross the finish line, unless he shall win first! Under his advanced age, Clash didn't have the endurance to fight Dark Million's thrall over him. He constantly implored Rick to end his life and that the galaxy's fate is in his hands... He did the unthinkable and took away Clash's victory.

As the Task Force was mourning, Rick headed to the topmost floor of the base and visited the Chief's office. He was in deep bereavement and the alien beckoned him to enter. He noticed Clash never fighting back as Rick pushed him over the edge, he suspected it to be a suicide. Yet still, Rick kept on blaming himself for his treacherous actions, as well as the team suffering the same fate. The Commissioner was taken aback by Rick's angsts, hoping to be taken in for his heinous crimes, even though he knew it was Black Shadow manipulating them. He talked some sense into the distraught detective, saying he's not the only one who's grieving and only misery would invite further upset. In order to attain redemption, he must save what's left of the Task Force and bring Black Shadow to justice, despite Rick saying he set them back so much. He even repeated Clash's words, the galaxy is in his hands...

Tinsel brought him out of his reverie as they finally got to their flats. She escorted him to his, though she wanted to stay with him. She offered if he wanted anything from the Falcon House, but he declined. Instead, she found him moping on his bed and never even looking at the scenic sunset and fans cheering for the new Champion. Rick was in so much sorrow, about losing everything after he was put into cold sleep, how hardly anyone understood his angsts, how he hardly had time to grieve and instead was forced into the Dark Million conflict and Zoda, and how he thought he was used as a tool for the team. Whenever he reminisced on the Task Force or Falcon's sacrifice, they never left his mind and made him very angry and upset! Tinsel made him let out all his rage, and she kept assuring him she'll be by his side whenever he needs moral support. He even cried himself to sleep, and word got out that he and Tinsel are leaving the team. They also got word from Jody that Haruka's body will be buried tomorrow.

In his 150-year-old outfit, Rick visited her after he was astounded by the painted ceiling mural of angels. He wondered if one of them was Haruka. He came to her side and touched her cold, blanch cheek, feeling Miss Killer won't snag him. He apologized and begged for forgiveness as he sobbed. Visiting hours were over as he rose again, and night fell over the city. At first, he was unable to eat/drink much, and Burt kept offering him comfort foods with warm liquid like chicken noodle soup and hot tea; Stewart offered him to drink the liquidated substance from the Reactor Mights of Light to help him heal.

Eventually, he slowly recovered, and Tinsel made the ultimate decision on moving into his apartment! Jack and EAD offered to help with the heavy furniture and wall hangings.

He overslept most days, and he noticed Tinsel was gone. She wasn't in the Falcon House, nor would she be in Port Town as Rick knew it'd only increase his bereavement. So, he figured she'd be at Memory Park, and sure enough there she was watching the hovering yachts go by. He grinned and they reunited in their warm embrace; Rick was sorry for worrying her so much.

Rick's vision of Falcon saluting him

They were at the Port Town Queen League, gazing up at the stars, the same thing they did after Clash passed. Rick could've sworn he heard Haruka in the heavens whisper Thank You to him. He also sworn he saw the late Douglas Jay Falcon make a salute to him in spirit as he first donned on the new Falcon attire Lucy made. He knew from then on that his deceased loved ones shall watch over him and his colleagues.

Lap 3[]

This was a short excerpt from Lap 14 of GP Legend, Old Rivals.

In the Task Force base, Jody, Lucy, Stewart and Rick were discussing that Jack was training with the legendary geezer, Silver Neelsen, to help him lose his losing streak. Rick offered to talk to him, but Jody ordered him to stay out of it. She knew Jack doesn't lack the skill and only he can find it in himself to start winning again. Lucy complimented she's tough as nails, then Stewart added she's right. Tinsel looked up the stats to the Astro Robin, and she wasn't the least bit surprised on why he kept losing so often. It had poor jump height, a strong body, though a weak boost and sluggish control; she nicknamed it once as the Hovering Tortoise. Stewart said Jack was unwilling to let Clash change it, as his racing group, Team Lightningbolt designed it before the X Grand Prix. Since he had a massive fallout with his band, he refused to change anything.

Rick and the two women understood.

Lap 4[]

This took place after Man of Destiny, Rick's first bounty hunting mission ad Young Capt. Falcon.

In Rick's apartment, Tinsel was anxious on seeing her beloved return, then she suddenly heard some small knocks on her door. It turned out to be Dr. Stewart who informed her that Rick's still in Port Town and has been taken to the critical care unit! He took her there in his Golden Fox and she was startled to see him in his blanch, comatose condition. He worried the T-Virus may spread throughout his defenseless body and some of the nerves connecting his neocortex and the hypothalamus are damaged. He theorized that with the Light Reactor Mights, they can help revive him by stimulating the nerves; a few survivors even offered to give Rick the antibodies via blood transfusion. All they could do now was wait...

Meanwhile, Rick's spirit went adrift and wound up next to an unusual white river while the ominous clouds remained still above it, ending at the brighter side where he was. Lightning and thunder constantly clashed at the other side of the river, then he spotted a thin, colorful ribbon of energy which yanked his arm! He pulled away and saw the tall golden arches, then he tested the river which instantly dried up in his hands. He figured he was living in a dream...

"It's as real as it can get." The baritone spoke behind him, and it turned out to be Falcon's astral form! He explained Rick's in Purgatory and wound up near the Bardo, a realm between life and death, If he stays at the bright side, his soul still exists; however, if he should cross it, his soul shall drift into the afterlife. He was lucky as he was given a choice to determine his fate, though the place will tempt him. As he faded, he kept warning Rick to never cross.

Soon, there was Haruka in her benevolent spirit persuading Rick to meet her across the river so she can guide him to the next life. He resisted the temptation, and it turned out to be her more sinister form, Miss Killer! She fought against him, backing him into the slippery erosion and into the river! As he received every blow, his vitality was being sapped away and he became more despondent. It was enough for her to show Rick visions of his doomed comrades and the damage done by the T-Virus and undead infestation. He failed to save Planet Nintae and soon Port Town, as well as neighboring planets. Which convinced him to cross with a heavy heart...

He suddenly heard whimpers and sobs from Tinsel as she begged him, he shouldn't die, like how he lost Haruka...

This snapped him out of his bereavement as she was still alive caring for him! He would rather stay in a devastated world as long as she was there for him! He broke Miss Killer's hold and forced her to cross the Bardo, restoring her kindred spirit before she dissipated.

At the ICU, hours passed, and Rick was the first to come to. Stewart was thrilled he made it thru and declared he shall use this method of recovery to combat the Umbrella Corp's impending epidemic! Tinsel tearfully reunited with Rick, and he had to make a choice to come back to her with Falcon's guidance. At his fortress, Rick was feverishly sketching and coloring his odyssey; it was a surprise since Tinsel never saw him do anything artsy!

Final Lap...for now[]

This took place after The Bostonian Comes Home.

This was relaxing filler as Rick and Tinsel took a nap in the grassy meadow in Boston filled with wildflowers and various birds chirping; it was certainly a breather away from the busy cities. Distant booms of thunder woke up the duo and Rick led the way as they rushed to find shelter. He eventually found and recognized a rusty, ancient barn belonging to his family's homestead. He busted the doorhandle and the chilly air greeted them. Before it down poured, Rick used his thermal energy to make the dusty logs easily combust. The warmth and light lulled them despite the storm raging outside, and Rick offered Tinsel to assist him as he gathered some leftover mementos he and his father were unable to collect as they rapidly left Boston after his mom passed from illness as well as his late Labrador, Axel.

The burlap sack was packed with various knickknacks, collectibles, and anything that'd bring Rick nostalgia. They eventually relaxed as he reflected on his distant past such as how he was motivated to become a police officer ever since he needed to defend himself and those he cherished from school bullies and punks. He also aspired to be a racer following his dad's legacy and as he gained more skill, he became a cop. It was thanks to the former racing queen, Haruka, that drove him thru. He also wanted to be a pro NASCAR driver as well as being an average cop, contrary to the FBI or SWAT team. Everything after he lost his mom and dog took a head as he and his dad went to the same location Aeropolis is in now, then into New York when auto-racing was coming back.

As he drifted, he noticed Tinsel starting to sleep on his lap as the storm was dwindling, and he eventually fell asleep too after he gazed onto the flames one more time.

Trivia[]

  • These were just a series of oneshots and random scenarios Ikran's mind came up with; those that were late after her timeline was established. So far there'd be 5 Laps, perhaps more if there should be other random scenarios she can think of.
  • The first Lap was based on the final episode of the English dubs, Target Tanaka, and her fic, Tanaka in Trouble. It described Tinsel's as well as her fascination of Port Town and how it would be a staple location for the series.
  • Lap 2 was a tragic one as Rick walks thru all the stages of grief, as he never had the chance throughout the anime, always being stuck in anger, denial, and depression till he accepted in the end. This was also a way to fight back Fanfictiondreamer as she used to grieve for her mom and thus became an edge lady soon after; Ikran advised people to handle their bereavement in more productive ways. This was also significant with the Falcon fanart Ikran made for FZerovember 2020.
  • Lap 3 was just a short excerpt from the episode, Old Rivals, as Ikran always figured Jack kept losing on account of his pisspoor stats on his machine, rather than just focusing on racing instead of winning; great advice, though she thought it was something more crucial. This also highlighted a part of Jack's dark past before he became the Death Reaper and worked for the Bloody Chain before he joined the Task Force; something the split timeline failed to reflect on.
  • Lap 4 was a trip to Purgatory/Bardo, inspired by the Real Adventures of Jonny Quest Season 1 episode, To Bardo and Back. This explained what happened to Rick after he suffered from exposure of the T-Virus and made a desperate powerup utilizing one Reactor Might before his post victory collapse. The drawing Ikran made was indeed relevant here, and she drew this, thus the catalyst of this Lap.
  • She may do more oneshots if there are more random ideas, but she's uncertain. This can also be inspired to the narcissist's own side stories to the Fayelons Story but more vital and significant. Just a way to fill in the gaps.
  • The so-called Final Lap was inspired by two relaxing YouTube vids Ikran found several months ago, Relaxing Meadow with Ambient Nature Sounds, Wildflowers, and Mountain View - 8 Hours by Calmed by Nature, and Campfire Ambience with Night Animals such as Owls and Crickets by Nature Soundzzz. She also thought the commercial of 24-hour TV as the dog calmed despite the thunderstorm was too cute, a Dish commercial relying on 24/7 TV. She also happens to be an astraphobic and light/sound sensitive as she hates thunderstorms at night even if she'd try to sleep through them.
