This was originally made up by TheIkranRider way back in 2000. By the time she was into Link in the original Smash Bros, she became curious in his latest game, Ocarina of Time. A few months later, she was hooked, even though she was never much of a Zelda fan. Although she lost interest thanks to Majora's Mask and later titles, she'll always call that game home. Since she was into Pokémon at the time, she came up with this crossover; although it'd be impossible for her to make a fanfic series, so she made her summaries on this site instead.
In the Beginning[]
Her OC, Zelda, was a Pokémon Trainer with her friends at the Kanto frontier; she just met the Mew duo, and she had been learning to live on the land as well as catch multiple creatures from both Kanto and her birthplace, Johto. On one fateful night, she was camping with some of her close Pokémon, until they all had suddenly vanished. Not just from Kanto, but the entire Pokémon World. They traveled thru another dimension by the mysterious Sage of Light, who had noticed she was being stalked.
Zelda wound up in Hyrule, specifically the Kokiri Forest, and the guardian spirit, The Great Deku Tree, succumbed to a curse. He began to wither as he summoned his loyal lone fairy, Navi, and urged her to find "the boy without a fairy," as his destiny was to lead Hyrule onto the "path of justice and truth."
Navi caught up to him, and the boy, Link, accepted her as his own fairy partner. He was summoned by the Great Deku Tree, and every one of the children, excepting the impressed Saria, gave him a hard time, even the bully, Mido. Eventually, while Zelda was wandering around, she crossed paths with the fairy boy and introduced herself and her comrades (Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, Meowth, Sandshrew and Scyther). Since they had just arrived, a lot of her comrades had wound up missing; once she'll help Link find the Kokiri Sword and Deku Shield, and save the forest, she can hopefully find them.
Eventually, to Mido's dismay, they got their equipment and made it thru the Deku Tree Meadow, though they had discovered that the quiet, peaceful forest had been overridden by monsters. Together, they reunited with the Deku Tree, and he was urgent on Link reversing the curse over him, while also for Navi and his newfound team to guide him. A great evil descended upon the forest around the same time Zelda and her Pokémon arrived. So, there was no better time. They traversed inside, fought off all the Skulltulas, Deku Shrubs, and the other baddies, and solved some mind-bending puzzles before they reached Queen Gohma.

Inside the Deku Tree with Link, Bulbasaur, Navi, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, Meowth, Sandshrew, and Scyther
It was a tough fight, but thanks to Link's Slingshot as he launched Deku Seeds into her red eye, as well as slicing her with the Kokiri Sword, she was vanquished. They gathered their bearings and left, only to find they were too late on saving the tree. Before he passed on, he revealed that the evil man of the desert inflicted the curse on him in demand for the Spiritual Stone, the Kokiri's Emerald. He bestowed it onto Link and revealed that the sinister man's looking for a way to enter the Sacred Realm where the Triforce, the three sacred, golden triangles, was the resting place where the three Goddesses (Din, Nayru, Farore) departed after they created Hyrule. He wished for him to carry out his requests in restoring peace to the world, as well as find the "princess of destiny" within Hyrule Castle. He then passed away moments later...
They were all in grief and Link escaped as the Kokiri, especially Mido, kept on accusing him on killing their father. He then found Saria who was awaiting his leave. She knew he would leave the forest because he was so different than everyone else, even though Zelda wasn't sure why that was the case aside from having no fairy guardian, and she was clueless on that too. Nevertheless, Saria gave him her Fairy Ocarina and wishes for him to come over and visit, and they'd always be friends no matter what, and that whenever he should play it, he should always remember their close camaraderie.
The Adventure Begins[]
They emerged into Hyrule Field and met the wise owl, Kaebora Gaebora, which to Zelda closely resembled a Noctowl. Up north was the way to the castle, and he warned they must be careful at night as monsters lurk in the darkness; it was all due to the sudden evil air that changed the climate. He watched over the small group as they trekked toward the castle, only for night to fall. Luckily for them, Zelda reunited with her missing ghosts (Gastly, Misdreavus) and other dwellers (Hoothoot, Skarmory, Murkrow, especially against the intimidating Peahats and the reproducing Skullchildren. They didn't have a good night's sleep from the invasion, so they took a short nap during the morning before they went further. With the drawbridge open, they pressed on.

At the Market with Link, Malon, Mankey, Machop, the 2 Nidorans, Ekans, Koffing, and Tyrogue
They were immersed in the bustling crowds, and it was a good thing Link had been educated on using the currency, Rupees, to buy things thanks to the Know-it-all brothers. They met up with the young redhead, Malon, who said she's from Lon Lon Ranch. She grew fond over the foreign fairy boy, and she guided the group through the square along with some other unsuspecting guests (Koffing, Nidoran (male)] and Nidoran (female), Ekans, Tyrogue, and Mankey sparring with Machop). They went outside the castle grounds and Malon asked for a favor to retrieve her sleepy father, Talon, and to use a Cuckoo to help wake him. By dusk, Link along with a few Pokémon went, while several of the creatures drew away the guards. Talon was indeed startled awake by the Cuckoo and was frantic over Malon. Link then used the Lon Lon Milk crates to enter the small crawlspace and more of his comrades distracted more guards while Link and Zelda traversed to the courtyard.
The Princess, also named Zelda, was very excited to meet the fairy boy in her dreams. She described the looming grey clouds over the earth, as well as a boy with a fairy holding a sacred rock emitted in a green light. She strongly believed that this was a prophecy, and they soon encountered the man of the desert, Ganondorf, bowing before the King. Zelda knew he was never sincere and he's bad news symbolizing those stormy clouds. She said he's after the Triforce which if used could grant any wish by reflecting what's in the heart; if someone's pure, it'll turn Hyrule into a paradise, if someone's impure, it'll turn into a land of everlasting evil. Zelda urged the duo to find the remaining two Spiritual Stones, go to the Temple of Time, and retrieve the Triforce before Ganondorf does.
They then met up with her attendant, the Sheikah, Impa. What she said is true and she counts on the team to fulfill her dream. As a sign of trust, she taught Link the song passed down by the Royal Family, the one she taught Zelda when she was a baby, Zelda's Lullaby. They were escorted out and Impa suggested them to visit Kakariko Village, the place where she was born and raised, and climb up Death Mountain to find the second stone. Being that Bulbasaur and Scyther couldn't stand fire, they decided to look over the forest instead. Charmander and Sandshrew were ecstatic to go to a volcano, Squirtle decided to stay, though Pikachu and Meowth wanted to visit the ranch.
The Gorons' Plight[]

They arrived at the village, and they met up with Skarmory and Magnemite. They heard there's a graveyard too, and Zelda II (as she was now called) decided to go there to find more of her friends. Sure enough, they did, as they stumbled upon more (Sneasel, Murkrow, Houndour, Misdreavus, Gastly, and even Zubat). They were exhausted from dealing with the wandering spirits, Poes, as a way to keep them at bay from the village. That was when they came across the Composer Brothers who forgot how to do their signature number which they'd left buried in the catacombs. Link played Zelda's Lullaby, thanks to a Triforce inscription, and the head tombstone exploded by a lightning strike! It did open the way, though, and it was infested by Keeses and the more deadly ReDeads; the latter made Zelda II and her Pokémon cringe.
They finally made it to the rear of the tomb and learned the Sun's Song as a way to switch the positions of the sun and moon, and also rest the undead, albeit temporarily. With the help of the team, they made it back alive, and they were finally on their way. Until they found a woman in distress on losing her Cuckoos; the Pokémon helped Link and the Trainer a lot on finding them, unfortunately, they needed to be more discreet with those dastardly chickens. With all of them safe in the coup they got their first Bottle.
The guard patrolling the trail barred the way, until he read Zelda's letter. He was laughing hard, thinking it'd be a mischievous game she's playing. He also advised them to get a Hylian Shield to protect them from fire and falling debris in one of the shops nearby; best to be prepared. So they stocked up and the Fire, Water, and Ground-Types assisted the duo up, as well as several others (Cyndaquil, Vulpix, Larvitar, Phanpy, Growlithe, Magby, Diglett, Cubone, Onix, Geodude, Rhyhorn). They heard from the Gorons that they're suffering from famine and starvation, and their delicacies lie within the Dodongo's Cavern. They went into Goron City and found the way to King Darunia's chambers sealed, which they'd be warned he's in a bad mood. Link wondered if he could play Zelda's Lullaby, which actually allowed them entrance. Needless to say, Darunia wasn't at his best and he forced the team out. Discouraged, Navi advised them to return to the forest and meet up with Saria.

Being that she's not found in the forest, Navi dreaded they have to go through the Lost Woods. Scyther and Bulbasaur reunited with the team, and they followed the upbeat ocarina song that led the way through the numerous forks and tunnels. Finally, the song got stronger, and they fought off some Shrubs and a Wolfo to get through the Sacred Forest Meadow. They went to the Grotto, they met up with more Pokémon (Oddish, Paras, Shuckle, Heracross, the elusive Celebi, Venonat, Pinsir, Chikorita, Spinarak, Yanma, Caterpie), and Saria was playing her ocarina on a stump. She felt that this place would be very important to them someday, and she taught her best friend, Saria's Song. Bulbasaur and Oddish decided to valiantly tag along.
On the shortcut back to Goron City, Navi advised them to use their song to see it'll bring Darunia out of his misery. According to some close Gorons, he loves to dance. Lo and behold it worked! Darunia was his wild, rambunctious self, but the reason why his tribe's starving was because he refused to give Ganondorf the Spiritual Stone, the Goron's Ruby, and thus he sealed the passage to the cavern. He requests for Link and his team to open the way and clean out the place that's infested with menacing Dodongos. Thanks to a nearby Bomb Flower as well as his gift, the Goron Bracelet, the Pokémon didn't have to spend their strength removing the large, impenetrable boulder. Finally, they trekked in, dealt with some fatal Bombos and met up with Slugma happily bathing in the magma.

They crushed some Dodongos, Lizardos, Keese, and a few sneaky Armos, while also solving some more puzzles that would've been too difficult without teamwork. Eventually, Link found the Bomb Bag as well as free Bombs inside. With the help of this useful item, they trekked further into the cavern and dove down to the massive core of the place where a humongous, hungry, King Dodongo awaited its meal! With a few distractions and eating a few bombs that exploded its stomach apart, the Gorons were saved! As a reward, Darunia presented Link the Goron Ruby as well as honoring him and Zelda II as Sworn Siblings; although she was confused since they aren't related to the Gorons, nor could they stomach rocks. They escaped from some soul-crushing bear hugs, only to find themselves at the summit; Onix and the other Rock/Ground-Types were vital for survival from the volcano's destruction, as well as a few annoying Skullwalltulas. Kaebora advised them to visit the Great Fairy there, where the hero received a technique, the Spin Attack passed down by the legendary Hylian warriors. The owl volunteered to airlift them back down to the village, and they decided to rest for a while.
The Final Spiritual Stone[]

Yet again, Squirtle and Bulbasaur decided to tag along, but before they should go, they saw Meowth again excitedly wanting to follow him to the ranch. They arrived at the corral and reunited with Malon; however, they scared away the timid foal, Epona, yet they came across a lot more urban Pokémon (Ponyta, Kangaskhan and her joey, Chansey, Pidgey, Spearow, Sentret, Snubbull, 5 Eevees, Clefairy, Jigglypuff, Farfetch'd, Doduo, Rattata, Girafarig). Malon taught Link Epona's Song, and she also introduced him to Lon Lon Milk which would rejuvenate his vitality. They also met her grumpy brother, Ingo, in the stable who was sick of slaving away at the ranch since Talon's a lazy sloth and wishes to run it one day; Zelda II was never fond of him. Then they came across Talon as his energetic self and challenged Link to a game on finding his secret Cuckoos. With several tries, he was rewarded another Bottle.
Zelda II wanted to recruit her Normal-Types since they were known to be versatile wild cards; however, most of them weren't eager for battle, so they stayed at the ranch instead. Also, if they were looking for Pikachu, the little rodent headed to Zora's Domain just west of Death Mountain Malon said. With that intel, they pressed on.

Despite the Octoroks that interfered their expedition, they made it to the massive waterfall. There was a plaque saying that it'll never rest unless the song from the Royal Family has been played; Link played Zelda's Lullaby which soothed the pressure, and they went inside. They were astonished of the fresh, large pool, especially Zelda II which thought it'd be a great place for swimming! The Pokémon reunited with Pikachu, as well as other Water-Types (Totodile, Mantine, Shellder, Goldeen, Staryu, Horsea, Slowpoke, Krabby, Lapras, Dratini, Remoraid, Seel, Poliwag, Magikarp, Kabuto, Psyduck, Marill).
The Zoras there were delighted to see the Messenger, especially since their Princess Ruto has gone missing. King Zora was depressed of her disappearance as well. They investigated further as they found a narrow path to the left of the throne and a Zora challenged Link to a diving contest; if he wants to be as good as the Water-Types and in order to rescue Ruto, he must win this. He did with little to no effort, and he was able to dive deeper thanks to the Silver Scale. The Water-Types shown him the neighboring location, Lake Hylia, through a submerged tunnel; Zelda II needed help from them since there was only one scale.

They found more Zoras as well as Navi seeing a message in a bottle. It was from Princess Ruto saying that she had been swallowed by their deity, Jabu-Jabu. King Zora was horrified at that, and he was desperate for Link and his team to save her if he is truly Hyrule's Messenger. The Water dwellers hadn't seen their Electric comrades (Voltorb, Elekid, Mareep), so they assumed they had been swallowed too. Zelda II wanted to send in Magnemite, but considering it was Steel, it'd rust. For extra help, Oddish and Chikorita arrived with Bulbasaur. So, with the help from a fish, Link fed it to the monstrous whale which then inhaled everyone in!

After a short walk, the Slingshot opened an aperture, and they came across various holes. Ruto was pouting beside one, and she denied on sending a message in a bottle. She also never wanted their help on rescuing her, then she stomped and fell into a hole. The team followed, and she was even more grouchy of them getting involved; so much so that Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Chikorita, Squirtle, Totodile, and Elekid gave her some corporal punishment. With her more docile, she revealed she's been looking for her mom's special stone, and she bragged she's been down here since she was little. But she noticed that Jabu-Jabu had been green around the gills, and his insides are inhabited by electric jellyfish, eels, rays, bubbles, and even some Octoroks and lethal tentacles. She offered them to carry her throughout most of the way, and she even screamed at them for leaving her behind at times, screeching to be more considerate and take more responsibility. Zelda II absolutely hated her bratty, spoiled attitude and that it's no way to act like true royalty; she even threatened that she doesn't have a choice but to follow them and stick by her teams in times of crisis, otherwise she'd be fried frog legs!
So, Ruto became despondent and submissive, and Link and the team took the front. They took out each tentacle which wasn't easy, as they're deadly and they constantly got lost, even when they finally found the trusty Boomerang. The Electric and Grass-Types had survived the ordeals better than the Water Pokémon, especially against the large Bigocto. Ruto was ecstatic to find the stone, though she was terrified by her. It wasn't easy, as it rendered Link and some Pokémon weak, and they barely survived the battle. Thanks to a Red Fairy he picked up as well as several Berries from meeting the Grass dwellers, they pressed on; it was a lot more tolerable since Ruto wasn't around to scold at everything they did!
They arrived at the darkened chasm of Jabu-Jabu's lower abdomen, then they were shocked literally and metaphorically as they dealt with the true culprit, the electric anemone, the Barinade. With the help of some cracker-jack agility, the Boomerang, and the healthier Grass and Electric-Types, the monster blew apart spewing its guts asunder. Then, Ruto unexpectedly showed up out of nowhere, scolding them inside the glowing portal leading them out. They didn't have a chance to correct her this time.
As their eyes cleared, Ruto backed them off a cliff and into the bay. For their valiant deeds, she awarded them her mom's engagement ring, the Zora's Sapphire. Link was clueless on what that meant, but Navi and Zelda II told him that it was an object implying that he should be married to Ruto, much to their resentment. They also disregarded Ruto's statement on not telling her father, which they did.
Time is of the Essence[]
With the three Spiritual Stones in hand, they returned to Hyrule Castle, only for the weather to drastically change from calm to gloomy, to violent. The winds picked up, there was a sudden downpour, lightning kept flashing, and they found the drawbridge up. It soon opened, only to have a frantic white steed rush through it, nearly running the heroes over. Zelda and Impa were on it! The child princess looked back and struggled out of Impa's hold as she threw the Ocarina into the moat. Then, they beheld the sight of Ganondorf! Link revealed it was deja vu to him, as he had horrible nightmares and restless nights involving him and a scared princess escaping into the rough storm. The man demanded for them to unveil where the princess went, but they all were scared silent, excepting Link who confronted him. Ganondorf laughed it off though admired his courage, then he shot out an electrifying orb toward him. He declared he's the King of Thieves, and he'll soon rule the world! He cantered away, the weather calmed, and the Starters gathered wondering their friends were ok.
Seeing the Ocarina in the moat, Link and Navi dove after it. Then, as he climbed up the brook, he had a vision of a hopeless Zelda inside an enchanted settlement, the Temple of Time; she couldn't stay any longer and she was sorry for leaving so suddenly, but tension was building upon Ganondorf's terror, and she begged him to learn the Song of Time, open the Door of Time, and bring peace to Hyrule as he makes his way to the Triforce. With the Ocarina of Time in his possession, Zelda II attained his Fairy Ocarina as a keepsake. They wasted no time to reach their destination.
While at the square, it wasn't as excited as it was before. The Town Market was almost vacant from Ganon's assault, and the Pokemon weren't around. They went to the outskirts of the castle again and noticed a passageway blocked by a boulder. With a Bomb, they entered thru and met another Great Fairy which granted Link the spell, Din's Fire. With nothing else to do they slowly treaded towards the Temple.
They were awestruck by the holy place, and Navi read the inscription that the three Spiritual Stones must be laid here, and he must play the Song of Time to gain entrance. He did just that, the Triforce ignited above, and the Door of Time opened. To Navi's surprise, she identified the blade of legend, the Master Sword! Thinking it'd be a way to thwart Ganondorf once and for all, he stood on the pedestal and with all his might lifted the hilt. Strangely enough, the team were surrounded by neon blue lights, then they were paralyzed, and they blacked out...
Meanwhile, Ganondorf followed them in undetected and thanked the heroes for opening the way to the Sacred Realm for him. He owes it to them and laughed gleefully before he laid his hands on the godly relic...
Into the Future[]
The next thing the trio knew was a gentle, vehement voice waking them up. They looked around at an unfamiliar plane of existence, then fixed their eyes on a tall, wise man who introduced himself as Rauru, the Sage of Light. They were inside the Chamber of Sages located in the center of the Sacred Realm. The Temple of Light was the last stronghold against Ganon's evil prowess. Then, he offered the heroes to look at themselves, only to find they'd aged seven years!! Everyone was ecstatic on how much they had changed! Zelda II wondered how Link got the Master Sword in a new scabbard. Rauru explained their souls were sealed away all this time since Link was too young to be the Hero of Time and wield evil's bane. Now that they're older, it's finally time. He had been labeled as the Hero of Time, chosen by the sacred blade. But while he lifted its hilt, Ganondorf became the King of Evil as he laid his hands on the Triforce, and transformed Hyrule into a world of monsters, just as Zelda told them... Discouraged, the light became powerless, as did the Chamber of Sages; however, there's hope. The remaining five Sages must be awakened, but sadly thanks to the evil, they had been put to sleep and can't hear the call of destiny. They must reverse the curses from the Temples scattered throughout Hyrule and revive each one. With their powers combined, they can seal Ganondorf into the Sacred Realm and with Link's might shall make him achieve his destiny as the Hero of Time. Rauru then awarded him the Light Medallion, and he must keep his spirit within him while he shall add the Sages' might to his. Zelda II declared this was better than any Pokémon League badge! Hyrule depends on the trio now...
They were transported back to the Temple of Time and Navi wondered if seven years had really passed. As they headed out, Link heard someone behind them, thinking it'd be an enemy. The stranger, another Sheikah, had awaited their return. There was a legend passed down by his people as one Sage is located in a vast forest, one in a tall mountain, one in a deep lake, one in the house of the dead, and one within the goddess of the sands. He was Sheik, the last survivor; he knew Link was Hyrule's last hope as he saw him wielding the Master Sword, though the Trainer wondered if there were others before him. Nevertheless, he wasn't ready to head to the forest yet, where a girl he knew is awaiting the time of awakening. Link was startled it could be Saria in danger, but he can't access the temple without the Sheikah's secret weapon. He hurried out, only to find himself in a post-apocalyptic world!

When they got to the Market, it was swarmed by ReDeads and for some reason, Link was having trouble recalling a certain song to petrify them. The marauders noticed them, paralyzed them with their ear-piercing screeches and they were at their life-sucking mercy! Thankfully, they'd been spared by the evolved Poison Pins, Nidorino and Nidoqueen. They took the wounded warriors to safety before the zombies'd respawn. They began to recuperate at a distant house and realized they were in Kakariko Village. A blonde restored them back to health which took all day to do. They woke up to a crying infant, and Link played Zelda's Lullaby to lull him to sleep; the woman couldn't thank him enough, and she revealed that all the refugees escaped the Town when Ganondorf attacked several years ago and wound up here. Zelda II wondered why Ganon would stop here, though she was anxious on finding her comrades. Link was also curious if there WERE any more survivors.
With his heart heavy, he played the lullaby several times hoping for a sign...

Then, more evolved Pokémon showed up, recognizing the duo; there were a lot more dwellers than they were before (Steelix, Skarmory, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, and Hitmontop, Primeape, Magneton, Arbok, the Poison Pins, Weezing, Crobat, Machamp). They asked if they had seen the secret weapon, but to no avail. Then, they heard rumors of Dampe's ghost terrorizing the place. Thinking it's at the graveyard, Link went there, only to be halted by a violent Sneasel! Upon Zelda II's imploring, he fought her off and won seamlessly. She was agile and quick on her feet, but not as strong as the Master Sword; with that, he proved to be Hyrule's savior. Link asked if they could have her assistance, Sneasel considered it his. More creatures showed up (Umbreon, Murkrow, Houndour, Misdreavus, Haunter). They searched the area until Houndour smelt something. Link pulled the tombstone and entered beneath it. He came across the phantom, Dampe, who challenged them to a foot race. He kept up, but Houndour and Zelda II had more trouble; she noticed he hasn't evolved cause of Ganon's evil air. He was awarded the Hookshot and came across a roadblock. Navi and Link remembered it had the same symbol as the Door of Time, so he played the song making it disappear. Then they wound up in a windmill where an irritated man unveiled that a troublesome kid with an ocarina messed it up. He demonstrated the melody, the Song of Storms, and much to his shock, Link resembled that same kid! After playing it, the windmill spun faster and Houndour was complaining of the downpour, being he's a Fire-Type. They ran off before they were caught. The graveyard Pokémon arrived, and Link displayed the Hookshot, much to their admiration. He tested it out for a while, then they decided to rest at a remote location.

They camped out within a distant wooded area, unbeknownst to them that a special someone was watching over the weary heroes.
The Price of Betrayal[]
Hours later, they woke up and Navi wondered if Malon and Talon were alright at the ranch. They headed there and they noticed that there was a gloomy, grey atmosphere, Navi sensed there was uneasiness and evil there. Soon enough, they came across Malon who was singing in the corral. She begged them to never let Ingo know of that song, as it was Epona's favorite, and only she can tame that wild steed. With a moment of a memory returning to him, Link played the song. Malon was indeed surprised by this and when she noticed it was dawn, she escorted them insde the stable to avoid Ingo's vengeful eyes. Since Ganondorf came, places were ruined, monsters are roaming everywhere, people fled, and everyone seemed to be turning evil. Worst of all, Talon was kicked out by Ingo because of his jealousy and resentment; if Malon disobeys Ingo he'll treat the livestock so badly, even the helpful Normal-Types putting Zelda II in a sense of dread and irritation.
In order to avoid any further conflicts, Link decided to confront Ingo alone. Ingo demanded to never reveal about his reasons why he fired the incompetent Talon, and the great Ganondorf recognized his talents on raising the ranch and sell his fine horses, even Epona and Rapidash if it means to beat them into submission. He proudly wanted to demonstrate them, so he gave the hero a chance to ride some of them. The Fire Horse was weak, but Epona was strong after he played her song again. He rode her around the corral a few times, and they became more in sync. Ingo noticed he had gotten better, then he challenged him to a race with a wager of 50 Rupees. He had only 100 in his bag, though, and Zelda II was reluctant, but he accepted.

She and Navi were cheering him on, and she even gave a signal to speed up at the inside where there was an opening. He won the first round and Ingo was pissed off. He challenged him to another race in order to keep the horse. Link won a second time due to Ingo's abuse and recklessness, although he cut him off at one point. Ingo was in hysterics noticing it was Epona whom he was going to present to Ganondorf, but he lost instead in his humiliation; however, he recovered as he threatened them to never leave the ranch! Being the Flying-Types were crippled, there was hardly a way out! Though, they indicated that the back fences can be a way if she's strong enough. She met the leap of faith, as did Rapidash, and they were home free! They barely noticed the uproars behind them as Ingo was getting his while he was being mangled severely by the revolting Normal-Types; they agreed it was music to their ears as crime never pays!

Zelda II wanted to have a friendly race toward the forest, though Link declined, only to have Epona get the upper hand! Rapidash chased after him, even Dodrio visited on some of the fun. Together, they arrived, and Zelda II wanted her horse to protect Epona from any oncoming threats. With that, they went in, and Link was more determined to save his kind and Saria.
The Forest Temple[]
The village was deathly quiet, and also invaded by monsters, which he took out easily. The place was ruined and deserted, but he was able to find a few survivors inside a hut, even the Know-it-all brothers. They said that Saria gone thru the Lost Woods and into the Forest Temple after she heard the spirits were in distress; she wanted to do something, but she never returned since.

Link hurried through the Lost Woods, barely recalling the way without Navi's guidance. They came across Mido blocking a path, and he was angry at the adult disguise never fooling him. To prove it, as well as obsessed to save his friend, he played the song, and Mido was beyond shocked. Then...there was the revelation as he noticed the resemblance, as well as having Navi along. Mido put two and two together, and it was upsetting to him. He remorsed so much on how he treated him as a kid, and without the Deku Tree and Saria he feared the forest would die forever. Being he no longer needed them, Link offered Mido his past weapons to him as Mido promised Saria to stay here and protect the way to the Meadow. Link promised to save the forest and Saria, and he went in further...only to have himself clobbered by an unsuspecting Moblin! If it wasn't for Ivysaur hidden within the brush, aside from his bulb, Link would've died for sure! He saved everyone and warned the Moblins can respawn if they don't hurry. Shuckle was with him, and he strategized to use him as a tripping stone while the Moblin charges then they take the offense; it was too risky for Butterfree and Venomoth to use their Stun Spore on them, as they'd be paralyzed by exposure.

Then, they came across another Moblin slamming shockwaves toward them. Scizor charged into the fray, until he was outmaneuvered. Link showed up with an awesome Spin Attack as the final blow! Scizor appreciated his valiance and accepted him. They went into the Grotto, only to find it empty and silent. Saria wasn't around, and Link's heart dropped, thinking she had gone. He noticed a noise, but he was too slow to notice Sheik who had him in a neck lock. Before the teammates implored, he let his guard down and said Link was slow. He then criticized if Link was Hyrule's only hope. He's been waiting for him, which was stunning to the Trainer as to how he was able to get passed the Moblins. He shouldn't be slow now, and he must let go of the past. The girl was indeed important to him like Sheik said, and he asked how she would feel if she saw Link unhappy like this. He reflected on when he left the forest, that home's never far away as long as he has happy memories. He then smiled, and in order for him to return here, he must play the Minuet of the Forest, to which Sheik played on a golden harp. Link played along and he mastered it. He saw a glimpse of Saria as memories rushed back to him, and Sheik said to keep moving forward. Sheik vanished and Zelda II wondered if she can hear her song. She did, and she begged Link to help her as she was under distress by the temple filled with horrible monsters. He entered with the Hookshot, Zelda II with Ivysaur's Vine Whip, confronted a couple Wolfos and pressed on.

In the main chamber, the Poe Sisters lowered a wooden lift underneath the floor then disappeared. They met up with more Pokemon to help them through the confusing dungeon (Pinsir, Bellossom, Heracross, Shuckle, Sunflora, Parasect, Bayleef, Ariados, Celebi). Some functioned as combatants while a few were healers. After a while, they came across a couple of skilled Stalfos; even with their team efforts, they were a bit intimidating with their speed and strength, even their jump attacks. So much so, that Link was weary, barely surviving the match; and they had to hurry before the fallen Stalfo should regenerate. Sadly, the Solarbeam wasn't effective just yet due to the immense darkness around. Thankfully, they found a couple Red Fairies, with Link catching one in a bottle. Bayleef actually became Meganium!

They pressed on till they reached a twisted corridor, and Navi heeded to watch for monsters hanging from the ceiling. All they heard was a noise as if coming from a gust of wind, but no air. They looked around, then they were caught by Ivysaur's vines pulling them back! To their horror, Navi identified the Wallmaster. With tedious work, they wiped it out before the Goddesses knew what would happen... They pressed on and they dealt with a couple more of those Stalfos; it was a close fight, but Ivysaur evolved to Venusaur and Link finally got the Fairy Bow and a full quiver! Venusaur's, Heracross's and Meganium's strength were very useful when Link needed an extra push with those heavy blocks, as well as using Heracross to hold up the falling ceiling, and, even putting together Amy, which was the toughest Poe thus far.
Finally, they made it back to the lobby where they crossed with Meg. Her own Double Team wasn't too difficult to spot the real Poe, but the stunt was just too fast to tell. So, another Pokémon used her own to confuse the Poe. It worked and all four torches were lit. The elevator rose beneath Link's feet and the duo went down. The walls were shifted multiple times till the Boss Door was shown. With his determination going into overdrive, Link was anxious on saving Saria, only they never found her. So, as they turned back, they were trapped within the circle. Link tried to find a way out, but Navi and Zelda II startled as they noticed a grunt from a horse behind them, which happened to be Ganondorf! Link became enraged by the sight of his nemesis after seven years of absence, then he took off his face, revealing an eerie mask; it turned out to be a phantasmal replica of him! He on his steed leapt into one of the paintings yonder.

Zelda II quickly summoned Meganium and Venusaur for battle! They huddled w/ their backs toward each other keeping an eye on which painting he'd emerge from: Link looked to the West, Meganium to the East, Venusaur to the South, and Zelda II to the North. On the first few tries, Link and the Pokémon were able to shoot the illusion effectively, until they missed one attempt. But he was aiming at the vulnerable Trainer, and she screamed for them to scatter! He emerged and shot an orb of electricity toward her, rendering her to faint. Link was terrified for her condition and Meganium went to work on her Synthesis to heal her. He was infuriated and with his adrenaline pumping took out the ghost which soared over the arena. He then played a lethal game of volleyball as he shot out the sphere, Link deflected it with his sword, the phantom hit back faster and harder, and Link failed to do so; he was then paralyzed, but luckily there was a berry that cured his ailment. Venusaur took a clenching blow in the process. Link did the rest and with all his rage, sliced the phantom into ribbons! He began to dissipate as the warrior heard Ganon taunt him, saying he defeated his foolish puppet, he has some slight skill, and he'll send it between dimensions. He also said that he wished he'd do the same thing when Zelda was gone; that put Link in a state of panic, then vengeance. Yet, Zelda II never thought this way, as he needs to have proof first. With the abyss opening to seal the phantom, Link tried to barge in, only to be held back by the Grass tanks. Zelda II reasoned that he's the King of Thieves and thieves tend to lie, so Ganon must show them whether or not the princess perished by his hands, and Navi thinks she speaks the truth; they wouldn't know for sure until if the Sages are awakened. That convinced Link otherwise, and they entered the neon blue warp point.
They arrived back at the Chamber of Sages, and to Link's astonishment, he saw Saria alive and well, but without her fairy. He reluctantly reunited with her and embraced her tightly thinking he wouldn't see her again. He apologized for leaving her so abruptly, but she assured he didn't have to explain since it was destiny that drove them apart, even now since she's the Sage of Forest. Thinking she'd be in this predicament again, Zelda II suggested for a few Pokemon to be her guardians; she turned down Celebi, but she chose the Grass Starters and Butterfree. Link promised to talk to her again soon and save Hyrule and the forest for her. Then he was gifted the Forest Medallion; two down, four to go. While they dissipated, Saria whispered, "I will always be...your friend."
Link's Origins Revealed[]

They unexpectedly descended into the Great Deku Tree Meadow, and the forest was as shaded and silent as ever. While he saw its dead husk, Link wanted to pay his respects, leaving Zelda II be. Her foot touched something beneath the earth and noticed a tiny leaf growing. She examined it, only to have herself be knocked back and startled by the sudden growth of a large sprout! Link followed her scream and beheld the sight. The plant introduced as the Great Deku Sprout, and because Link, his comrades, and Saria reversed the curse, he can grow and flourish. Link knelt to it and muttered Great Deku Tree, to which he isn't one just yet; however, he did retain his memories. He was actually happy to unveil this secret to him that's been kept away for a time...
Link had a vision of himself being surrounded by flames and shouting; as if he was in some kind of war, later known to be the Hyrulean Civil War. Then, he saw and leapt onto the leg of a fleeing horse with a woman and a crying infant. He held on till he lost his grip as it headed straight to the forest. He followed the trail to the Meadow, and the blond was dying; she almost looked like the one in Kakariko Village. She whispered for the Tree to take her baby into the forest, and he did, knowing he's the child of destiny. The baby stopped crying, and the woman passed upon the request. The Sprout spoke that it was Link's mother that took him in, and the Tree raised him as his own. That put him in a state of depression. He's not really a Kokiri, but a Hylian since the kids never grow old, as he was destined to leave the forest. Zelda II and Navi comforted his despair as he even remembered how he lost the late Deku Tree. Even though he understood his destiny, much like the late Hylains before him, he had a heavy heart. He stayed to grieve for a while, and Mido saw and felt sorry for him. He actually ordered the kids to make some delicacies for his journey. After a time, Mido understood what happened to Saria, as she and Link are on a mission to save the forest and Hyrule around it. As they quietly left the forest again, Mido cheered for the new heroes, as did the children and the Pokémon that followed, filling them with a sense of gratitude.
Epona and Rapidash took the heroes to another camping site, but Link had an ulterior destination; he steered toward the Castle. Zelda II was dumbfounded, but Link wanted to go back to the Temple of Time. He also remembered the Sun's Song which petrified the ReDeads though he stopped to gaze at Ganon's Castle till Navi got his attention. They went in and Zelda II hopes to rid of the eerie red glow across the mountain's summit. He actually treaded in slowly and then knelt near the altar. He put his gear aside, closed his eyes, and prayed to the Goddesses for strength in order to continue his mission. He was so heavy with all the people/things he'd lost over seven years, and he doubts if he and the Sages'd be strong enough to overthrow Ganondorf with the Triforce. He implored them to save her, save Princess Zelda, and wonders if his mom was aware of all this. As he finally stopped, he and his partners noticed Celebi who led them to Sheik waiting near the Pedestal. He told Link that even though he awakened the Sage, he must be more powerful, to travel over mountains, under water, and even through time. He can rest the Master Sword whereas he'll travel back seven years; however, Link doubted if travelling to the past would make a difference since Ganondorf invaded Hyrule.

Sheik said that there'll be a time to return here in a hurry and to do so, he should learn the Prelude of Light. Link followed and mastered it only this time it's different; as they played it, a dazzling sphere of light shined in the room, filling the guys with a warm heart and a sense of hope. Link thanked him, and he disappeared again. Zelda muttered she can't get used to it and asked if he wants to return to the past which he hesitated. He thought for a moment, but he realized he has four more Sages to find, so he decided to continue the course.
They went to Kakariko Village to stock up for the next dungeon, one in a tall mountain, but the Cuckoo Keeper noticed they restored life to the forest; the old man used to visit there, and she can't thank them enough. As an act of kindness, she offered them to stay in the late Dampe's hut.

In a deleted scene, Link sees the same woman tendering her infant and wondered what a mother is. Zelda II explained this as a womanly caregiver for her offspring until they're grown and can give birth to them, at least they weren't born from a tree, he chuckled. They can also adopt a kid, like Impa did with Zelda, and he wishes his own the best.

They settled down inside the hut where they stored their items and gear, and Houndour wanted to guard them inside. Zelda II fell sound asleep almost instantly as did Link and Navi minutes later.
The Fire Temple[]
Zelda II woke up late, and she didn't see Link until she wandered into the village; he was just fully stocked on what he needed for the trek up Death Mountain. There were no Pokémon during the climb nor Gorons, just baddies, so the trek was a little more tougher; thankfully Rapidash was willing to help. When they got to Goron City, even that was vacant, excepting a rapid rolling Goron. After a few tough tries, he managed to stop him from spinning with a Bomb, and he declared he was Link of the Gorons. He was lucky it wasn't one of Ganon's minions. His dad, Darunia, went to the Fire Temple to vanquish the dreaded dragon, Volvagia, and he never returned since; if the dragon's not stopped, the Gorons would be sacrificed and eaten, Hyrule will be a burning wasteland, and he wishes that the great Hammer would defeat it for good. He began to sob, but Link, Navi, and Zelda assured it shall be done.
As an act of faith, Goron Link gifted the two heat-resistant Goron Tunics, and Zelda II had an admiration that it looked handsome on him. Feeling heat behind Daurnia's throne, Link pulled it away and they entered the Death Mountain Crater. They reunited with Charmeleon, much to his excitement; he made some charades that Darunia disallowed any help from Pokemon, but he was glad to see them. Upon a long gap from a broken bridge, probably by an eruption, Link used the Hookshot, only to struggle up the other side. He slipped and fell, only to be caught by the evolved Golem! He pulled him up and Sheik met them too.

He gave them a lecture of a blossoming friendship that tends to grow overtime, and with it, they'll know which way to go. He introduced them to the melody that bestows the power of friendship, the Bolero of Fire. Link mastered it, and it even got the attention of more onlookers (Ninetales, Aerodactyl). The latter lifted the stragglers, and they descended to the Temple. They reunited with Darunia in a massive chamber who was delighted to see the saviors again. But he couldn't have a manly chat since the Gorons are imprisoned. He vowed to defeat Volvagia, but he couldn't find the sacred Hammer, so he went in alone and unarmed much to their dismay. Throughout the dungeon, they met up with other valiant creatures (Arcanine, Donphan, Marowak, Magcargo, Magmar, Dugtrio, Flareon, Rhydon, Quilava, Sandslash, Larvitar). Along the way, they saved several Gorons, until Charmeleon got involved in a scrimmage in a narrow bridge over a magma pit to which he fell in and became Charizard! He thrashed the monsters apart, and soon the team went thru deadly traps. With a firewall closing in, Zelda II tripped on the chain floor, but she was barely saved. Another time, the Pokémon had to time their comrades' traversing before they should get burnt if the crystals deactivate themselves. Then, there was a narrow fork and Link offered for Zelda and her Pokémon to go first, fearing they'd be a tremor. By the time Link tried to keep his balance in one, he fell leagues down, but he was carried by Moltres!

She hatched after seven years, as did Aerodactyl being resurrected. They soon came across a Flame Dancer and the Ground-Types and Quilava pitched in. While he evolved into Typhlosion, it wasn't till the second one they got the Megaton Hammer. Golem and Donphan were big help re-shifting the boulders, and Arcanine was useful smelling out traps. Heck, Marowak and Aerodactyl were excellent in far combat, even with the incoming Keeses. In one area, the boxes were accidentally destroyed to hold a switch down, so one Pokémon had to conjure a Rock Slide instead. Soon enough, Link found an unusual, large platform, to which he used the Hammer on and it descended miles below where the room they met Darunia in was. Luckily, Zelda II had the Boss Key thinking they'd lost it. They went inside a dark cavern and found no Darunia. But rather, they were separated after Link arrived in the center platform and a nearby pillar sunk in front of where Zelda stood. They beheld the Subterranean Lava Dragon, and she prepared Moltres, Charizard, and Aerodactyl for battle!

Link got burnt a lot as he was attempting to squash Volvagia with the hammer and even got it severely for his partner to pass him a Burn Heal. He even had to use a Fairy at one point. The Lizard and Flame Pokémon were good combatants, though they were being bombarded by falling boulders from the ceiling. The Fossil Pokémon was their saving grace, even when he invited Link to ride it for an aerial combat! His agility was on par, but his Hyper Beam left him vulnerable for recharge; Zelda regretted that move. With a last-ditch effort, Link charged in with the Hammer as did Aerodactyl, and the dragon was down! Zelda II and Navi congratulated them, and they went into the glowing warp point!
Yet again, they were at the Chamber and reunited with Darunia who awakened as the Sage of Fire. He was remorseful that he isn't so mighty anymore, and he should retire as head of the Gorons, but Zelda assured him he was so awesome to be chosen as such, and those that can't do, teach, as he should teach his son to become the next in line. Darunia picked three guardians: Moltres, Marowak, and Golem for their efforts. He gifted them the Fire Medallion as honor of their friendship and from that moment on, they're true siblings! They didn't know that the fiery ring had finally dissipated.
They arrived at the Crater and Arcanine sniffed out a secret being sealed by boulders. Thanks to the Hammer, Link trekked into a Great Fairy fountain which gifted him enhanced magic stamina. Charizard was waiting to give them a lift back down to the village. They were halfway done with their mission and left in pride.
Out of the Frying Pan, Into the Freezer[]

With the sun setting, Link was anxious on going to the next Temple. Zelda II was reluctant with him rushing into it, but Navi felt an arctic air from Zora's River. Hasty as ever, he urged them to come along. However, they were halted by a stubborn Kabutops; they can allow them passage if the Hero can prove himself worthy. He challenged him to a fight, and with his agility and his deadly leeching moves, Link lost on the first match. Eventually, he tried again and then emerged victorious.
Link used Zelda's Lullaby again to enter the Domain, only to find it completely frozen over! The Trainer gave Link and herself spiky arches for their shoes to prevent them from slipping as well as heavier clothing. It was a very slippery trek thru Zora's Fountain where Jabu-Jabu vanished, and they followed the floating icebergs toward a distant cave, the Ice Cavern.
Icicles kept falling onto the group and soon they found her Ice-Types (Dewgong, Articuno, Lapras, Cloyster) encased in Red Ice; Link tried shattering it, but to no avail. Luckily, Charizard and Kabutops helped them out, even with the Ice Keeses and Freezards, and the puzzles involving collecting far silver Rupees; alas, they didn't have value as they melted like snow once the door opened. The frigid air was indeed a delay for our heroes, even when they collected some Blue Fire to thaw the rare ice, and met up with a White Wolfo, and soon Sheik.
He alerted them the ice will never melt unless the monster's curse is broken, and the Zoras are frozen beneath the surface; they weren't sure if they're dead or not, but he managed to save Ruto in time. She needs their help more than ever since she's gone to the Water Temple in the deep lake. In order to reach it, Link must learn the Serenade of Water, as a way to reflect on himself like the water's clear surface; people move, time passes, like a river's flow it never ends. He mastered it, and Zelda begged for them to leave here before she'd turn into a popsicle. They did, but they turned back once they saw the pool of bone-chilling water after he got one pair of Iron Boots...
They returned to the entrance, and she thawed her imprisoned Pokémon who fainted almost instantly; she couldn't imagine being like that for seven years. Once they did the same to King Zora, he thanked them and assured they should never worry for choking while submerged, hence two Zora Tunics! Charizard left, and by the time they got to more temperate climate, the Ice Pokémon recovered. But they were soaked to the skin as they were immersed in a torrential, endless rainfall.

In a deleted scene, Link arrives at the Lakeside Lab and completed the diving test, much encouragement from Dewgong, Vaporeon, and Golduck.
The Water Temple[]

Soon, they dove into the lake, although since Zelda II never had the Iron Boots, she slipped from the erosion; again, she needed the Pokémon to help her deal with the pressure underwater. Link hit the switch with the Hookshot, his only weapon he can use while submerged, and they headed in. They met up with more of their evolved allies (Croconaw, Mantine, Octillery, Gyarados, Seaking, Dragonair, Slowking, Blastoise, Kingler, Kingdra, Poliwhirl, Marill, Starmie) Knowing this temple would be an excruciating pain to navigate, Ikran should know, they team was divided into half; Link and Zelda got their Pokémon ready. They would've gotten stuck if they'd used the keys on the wrong locked doors, but their teammates gave them no problem, and Cloyster was the perfect candidate for underwater battles, even against the Spikes and Shell Blades.
They found Ruto, not really as spoiled but just as irritating, as she coaxed Link for him to be her husband since he received the Zora's Sapphire, much to his shock. Zelda II wanted to set the record straight, but her rant was interrupted as duty called for her to reverse the curse and save her people. Unfortunately, she can't do it alone, and she advised them to find certain sections in which the Lullaby of the Royal Family can raise and lower the water within; Surf could be used at times to get to the upper floors as well. It was definitely tumultuous involving the puzzles there.

After a long, frustrating trek thru the place, as well as constant respawning of enemies, they found an unusual chamber; they thought they were outside the dungeon as they saw a little, lone isle and a reflective lake. But they were locked out. Link wanted to find a way...only to come across his own doppelganger, known as Dark Link! It mimicked every single one of his moves, excepting the Din's Fire, and he even stood on his sword before a Spin Attack and made him knock into the floor. He also tended to sink beneath the surface; Zelda, in her fear and frustration, sent out Gyarados, and his Dragon Rage made him rise up. He used everything he had, even his deadly fangs, but even he didn't stand for long against the malicious clone! Then, there was Octilliery, who used every projectile in his possession, even the risky Zap Cannon which also shocked the team! He eventually fainted too, then a ravenous Croconaw was the last resort, even with his fangs, claws, and Surf. It was just enough to make the evil clone fade, though he was more aggressive, but just as he was about to finish him, Link arrived with a Fairy used and a sneak attack with his Hammer. He made a down thrust to vanquish it for good. Navi complimented on his unwavering courage which increased Zelda's bitterness as she ranted Ganondorf'll be destroyed if it's the last thing she does! Starmie volunteered to Recover her fallen comrades.
Link came across the Longshot, which enabled the Hookshot to have a longer chain. Reaching obstacles was little to no problem, excepting at one point where he had to use cracker-jack timing before the crystal should deactivate and close the gate from afar. Finally, they reached a very fatal current overpowered by whirlpools; with Gyarados out of commission, it'll be proven difficult, luckily there was Feraligatr, Blastoise, and Articuno. With their assistance, and with Gyarados' Hyper Beam, they burst their way through the wall and re-entered more familiar territory. Heck the Pokémon's Horn Drills on certain floors were an indication to use Bombs and traverse further, even with Kingler's Crabhammer.

Finally, they made it and found the Boss Key they needed to enter the last room. Articuno froze the Spike Blades, and then they encountered Morpha after Navi said that the water doesn't look normal. Gyarados used his Hyper Beam and rage, Dewgong used his Ice Beam, Aurora Beam, and Horn Drill, Articuno attempted to freeze it, Cloyster unleashed his Spikes and beams, and Octillery used every projectile, even Zap Cannon to stop the demon from constricting the life out of Link. However, the nucleus was the only way to damage it, when Link had to use his Longshot to reel it out. But his strength didn't hold out for long from Morpha's fatal constrictions; he eventually lost his vitals, and he was dropped into the water to drown, but a Red Fairy restored him. He was a bit dazed as he noticed where he was and struggled to break the surface. Zelda II was beyond surprised when she found Link still alive, though pretty out of it. Gyarados finished the job by eating and swallowing the nucleus, making Morpha and the water evaporate. With the warp point at the bottom, they approached it with Link lagging behind.
They arrived at the Chamber, and Ruto was surely the Sage of Water, hard to believe to Zelda II. The Trainer persuaded her to picture how her offspring would look like if she should mate with a human, he's already been taken, and they didn't have a choice since that Stone was needed to attain the Master Sword. Ruto knew since she saw his worry over Princess Zelda to which she assured she's safe as she can sense her. Instead, she gifted them the Water Medallion, chose Articuno, Dewgong, and Gyarados as her own guardians, and wished them luck.

At the lake, Sheik admired their success when it finally filled up, and it was actually dawn. The guys adored its beauty, but Link's mind was at a loss. So much so, that they didn't notice Sheik leaving, and then diving into the lake like a pin drop. The Water Pokémon emerged and frolicked in the lake, though a few were concerned over Link's demeanor. He found a tombstone encrypted in Hylian, and Navi thought it could belong to the Hylains that had fallen during the War, even his mom. He grieved for a while and even rested his head on its face. A few hours later he woke up by his partners, as groggy and as slow, and Zelda II forgot to gift Link the Fire Arrows Moltres created from her mighty flames. The Water Pokémon escorted them out and happily wished them farewell.
Zelda II used her Fairy Ocarina to summon Epona, but her Rapidash wasn't around. Curious, even Link doesn't know, and they rode her home again.
Solo Missions[]

As they were approaching Kakariko, they heard some whimpering and yelping from a dog, Zelda II thought it belonged to Houndour, which it did. Link reacted slower than his partners did and they followed him up where the village was ablaze! The Ground, Fire, and Rock-Types attempted to extinguish the flames, but they found Sheik staring over the well. He told them to stay back, and an invisible, wrathful force began to stir. It tossed Sheik asunder, he was greatly wounded, and Link used the last Fairy to restore him. Link prepared for battle, a battle he didn't win. He sliced the enemy with his Master Sword but was caught in the darkness. The magnitude even seeped into his skin, irritating it like acid, he was then taken off his feet as he didn't use the Iron Boots and braced himself in the vortex. He was thrown toward a sharp object and fell to the ground. The last thing he recalled was seeing Zelda get caught by Ganon before he lost consciousness.

Sheik took him in, and he worried that he might not make it if that menace isn't stopped. Before he takes damage control, he was urgent to teach Zelda II the way to the infinite darkness which absorbs even time. The sealed evil was unleashed from the well, and Impa has gone to the Shadow Temple behind the graveyard; she'll be in grave danger if she's not helped soon, as would Link. Being she doesn't have a choice; Zelda II took on the assignment alone. While she managed to barely master the Nocturne of Shadow, Sheik advised her to seek out the Sheikah's secret item, the Lens of Truth. Being she can't access the well, he told her to go back in time; however, she can't use the Master Sword. Luckily Celebi was at the Temple of Time awaiting her. Though she had to hurry since Link's vitals were fading, even with a fading, sacred symbol on the back of his hand.

Celebi took her Trainer back seven years, and she and Navi went into the windmill where a catchy, familiar tune was playing. The operator was singing along to it, and that compelled the Trainer to follow on her Ocarina, which conjured a rainstorm and in turn made the windmill spin faster and harder. The well also began to drain itself, and before they would be caught, they headed out and Zelda II gathered some recruits. She and Navi went under the well after Murkrow airlifted her from the skinny, soaked ladder leading to a crawlspace below. It was a confusing expedition even with the team's help, while also dealing with Dead Hands, Gibdos, ReDeads, and even a meddling Wallmaster which lost some of her comrades. Finally, once they found what they were looking for, they went to the Sacred Forest to find Celebi, geared up, and went back to the future.

She finally mastered the ominous tune, and they went to the rear of the cemetery. Since she wasn't bestowed Din's Fire, she had to use Houndour's Fire Blast to light the torches and open the way. Her team consisted of only 6 Pokémon: Houndour, Murkrow, Sneasel, Umbreon, Misdreavus, and Noctowl; although Haunter wasn't willing since the Ghost/Poison hybrid couldn't take the evil air there.
In a deleted scene, Link and Zelda II encounter the Poe seller, locate the six elusive Big Poes and he rides on Epona while she rides on Rapidash as she uses Haunter to take them down. The accursed spirits were defeated and sold, earning a ton of Rupees, and to have Haunter evolve to Gengar; unlike normal if he were to be traded.
Since she wasn't skilled with Link's weapons, she had to improvise with her comrades, like lifting her over gaps, and battling; she even had to use the Lens constantly and had to drink a bitter Green Potion to activate it more as it ran out of energy. The first puzzle was a cinch, and she managed to find the Hover Boots, to only it was around 7 1/2 inches, Link's shoe size. By the time they defeated another Dead Hand, Houndoom was here! The trek became even more confusing as they heard numerous moans they must go forward to go back, and only one with the "eye of truth" and the "sacred feet" can traverse here; thankfully they didn't feel they were left out this time, as they were Hyrule and Link's only hope. Somehow, even thru the intimidating darkness, she felt that Link's always there driving her to persist and succeed; his fate was in her hands, after all. The deadly obstacles were challenging, and she always had to take it slow using the Lens. Most of the enemies were no problem, excepting a few Stalfos: one was near the massive pits, and others intruded their ferry ride through the abyss. Before the latter, Houndoom found a secret within a pile which a key was buried, and to avoid the dropping "rain of spikes", Zelda was too nervous on using the block, so she insisted Sneasel to freeze and slice the chains, while Murkrow and Noctowl took the air and found more treasure.
The bombs in the barrels were pretty tedious, but thankfully there was a Bomb Flower that kept growing. There was also a chamber where it had the spiked walls closing in, as the Trainer made a hasty effort to use Houndoom's fire to consistently burn them down to rubble. More ReDeads, Gibdos, and a few Floormasters got in the way, and their strength was dwindling. They finally reached the ferry, she played Zelda's Lullaby over a Triforce symbol which activated it, and the team dealt with a couple skilled Stalfos. They barely noticed Navi heeding them to abandon the sinking ship, thanks to Murkrow and Noctowl. She had quite a predicament on making a bridge as she can't reach the Bomb Flowers; luckily Murkrow was there to help, they nearly lost the last key and finally got to the bottom of the Temple where they met certain death.

The Phantom Beast, Bongo Bongo, was eagerly awaiting the team, and it was the most deadliest fight they'd ever had. Murkrow lifted Sneasel from the shockwaves on the massive drum and stunned its hands, then its eye, the latter was done by Sneasel's Beat Up move. But the move didn't last before the boss retaliated. Even with their tactful aerial combat, some were caught in its hands while others were slapped around. Zelda's team was dwindling, as were her hopes defeating the monster. Lastly were Noctowl and Umbreon, and they barely survived before the percussionist finally perished and stopped playing his rhythmic death sentence.
They went to the warp point and met Impa at the Chamber; she was undoubtedly impressed that the Trainer prevailed without the Hero of Time. Though she assured her that Link should be alright now, she sensed something was wrong. She turned down 3 Pokémon excepting Umbreon, Sneasel, and Houndoom and awarded her the Shadow Medallion. She also implored her to save the princess if she gets to her.
Role Reversal[]
Link slowly came to, and he heard a scream of pain coming from outside. Impa was right; something was wrong, as Zelda II succumbed under intense abdominal pain and even enlargement. She was under so much agony that she was carried into another house and received emergency care. Link followed her cries and saw her helpless on a bed; he theorized this could be Ganondorf's doing, just as how he inflicted the curse on the Deku Tree. She couldn't respond to his attempts to wake her; he knew she was dying, and he went for help at the ranch.

He arrived and Malon couldn't thank him enough for saving her and the ranch by Ingo's hands; she owes him so much for that day. But he didn't look grateful as 3 of the 5 Eevees were found, and Zelda II is incredibly sick. She figured she succumbed to a curse at the graveyard, and Link caught Chansey and told Malon to head to the village while he warps to the Lost Woods where he found Shuckle and Parasect at the forest. He hurriedly used Rapidash's speed to head to Kakariko and they attempted to cure her. He noticed that she attained the Shadow Medallion, awakened Impa as the Sage of Shadow, learned a new tune, and found a couple items.
He didn't have time to test them, so Navi reminded him there was a region they haven't visited yet, the stronghold dedicated to Ganon's people, the forbidden Gerudo Valley. Determined, he traversed to the temple located in the goddess of the sands and reverse the curse in order to save her. Thinking it'd give him better adaptation to the heat and to blend in with the environment, he wore the Goron Tunic. Epona made another leap of faith over the ravine in which a broad bridge was taken down. At the other side, he met the head of the Kakariko carpenters who said that his men gone to become thieves and quit their work; they never returned for quite a time. In order to provide safer passage, and since the Electric-Types were imprisoned, Link went toward the Thieves' Hideout. While he was wary, he was barely able to hide away from the keen guards, and noticed they were entirely female.
A carpenter begged him to save him, as the Gerudos are scary on how they treated them. He also stated that the Gerudo tend to seek boyfriends and thus was how they reproduced. Link barely noticed the aggressive warrioress and Navi heeded to never lose his guard as she's one of the Gerudo. After he was knocked unconscious by her own lethal Spin Attack, he was then taken deep within the hideout; he was never meant to be killed nor imprisoned, as their King had better plans for him. With Zelda II out of commission due to a fatal illness he conjured after she completed the Shadow Temple, there was only him and Navi, alone. He was vulnerable, then was forced to gaze onto a cauldron containing an enticing, glowing light as incents burned around it. The Gerudo stood around it and performed the mesmerizing ceremony upon Ganondorf's orders, while a couple of them forcefully held Link back, and another steadily beat on some drums. When she did, they incanted the conversion spell in their native tongue, and utilizing the unknown brainwashing methods that were rumored to be used outside the desert.

With the dark arts and Link's infatuation with the Gerudo taking over his mind and utilizing his weakness, the Hero of Time succumbed to their hypnotism, and a dark suit of armor and a large scimitar were awaiting him to wield. By the time he noticed Ganondorf, he wasn't frightened nor angered. Instead, he felt empowered by the darkness and then he declared he's now a servant to him and his kind. "...I am now known as...Gerudo Link. Servant to my master, Ganondorf, and to the Gerudo tribe...!"
By the time he donned on his own armor, imprisoned Navi in one of his bottles as she begged him to snap out of it, and discarded his weapons including the sacred blade, his dark desire was to meet his master. But his first assignment was to find and destroy "the meddling bipedal feline that's been lurking here." He took up to the task as he sunk more into the trance and was on the prowl.

Meanwhile, the feline in question, Mewtwo, was looking for the destined Hero. He sensed him in the desert, but it was a trap when he met up with the brainwashed Hylian loyal to the Gerudo. The Genetic refused to fight, and instead entered into his corrupt mind, persuading if he wants to save Hyrule and his comrades, as he has one Sage to find. Nevertheless, it was proven futile as Link kept on attacking. Mewtwo then used his telekinesis, Psych Cut, and the Ocarina he retrieved. He played a few signature tunes hoping to restore Link's deeper memories. As he heard them, he felt his mind beginning to snap, caught between his urges. He then collapsed as his mind shut down, and Mewtwo whispered to him, "Remember..."

He woke him up telepathically and the sun was almost down. Link awakened in an alcove in the cliffs to keep them away from the pursuing Gerudo. Mewtwo managed to redress him in his Kokiri attire and retrieved his bow and Navi with a bottle filled with cold water from Zora's River. He discussed to Link that since he's been asleep for seven years, his mind hasn't developed fully, and it was prone to infatuation; using this setback, the Gerudo loyal to Ganondorf made a thrall overwhelming him and poisoning his psyche. He forgave him for his moment of weakness, and he must focus on his mission to prevail as the Hero of Time. He casted a temporary barrier over Link's mind, but he must rest before he should find the prisoners. Mewtwo advised him that the desert would get frigid at night, Link casted Din's Fire, and the telepath would warp him out if he gets too cold.
The next day, he was ready and Mewtwo reminded him he's never alone, and they'll always have his back as long as he does the same. He escorted him back, Mewtwo wished Link luck before he teleported away; he went to Kakariko Village to start the operation on his companion. Link was able to stay more focused and saved the carpenters and the weak Electric-Types (Jolteon, Electrode, Ampharos, Raichu, Elekid) even when he had to fight against the Gerudo every time he saved one. When she returned to her senses, she introduced herself as Shakir, Nabooru's second-in-command, and the exalted one left for the Spirit Temple, never returned. She figured that she and her people were all under their King's thrall, as was Link. Since she was impressed by his stealth and combat skills, she honored Link membership with the Gerudo Token and retrieved his equipment; however, the others needed to test him to prove it. So, he and Epona raced at the target practice arena, and he went to the Training Compound; it was tricky, but he managed to complete it and save Zapdos.
With the rookie proven, the guard opened the way to the Haunted Wasteland, where a never-ending sandstorm blew. He passed the test thanks to the new Hover Boots over the quicksand, and thanks to the Song of Storms, it lit his way to each flag post, then he chased a Poe guide with the Lens the rest of the way, even against the incoming Leevers. Finally, he made it to the Desert Colossus where the Goddess of the Sands and the Spirit Temple stood. There was also a Great Fairy Fountain granting him Nayru's Love. When he got inside the Temple, he couldn't access it further, and Xatu had a right eye patch preventing it to look into the future. Looking for a way, he went outside and met up with Sheik!
Time is like a river, the Master Sword is the boat, and the dock is the Temple. He then taught him the Requiem of Spirit as a way for a child to return to the desert. Link was reluctant to leave Zelda II suffering in the future, but Sheik assured him that she'll be ok for the time being as she stays there. So, with the Master Sword in the Pedestal, he traveled back in time.

Link was a kid again, and his Pokémon comrades were in their pre-evolved forms. In the Temple, he met up with a few new comrades (Natu, Abra, Mew, Mr. Mime). They met the exalted lone thief, Nabooru, who actually hates Ganondorf, their Gerudo King. She also revealed that a man is born once every century, and they're worshipped as soon as they enter the world. She wanted him to access the dungeon via crawlspace and get whatever treasure's there so she can show Ganondorf a thing or two. Together, they conquered it, even a very menacing Iron Knuckle; he would be a lot more fatal if it wasn't for attaining the temporary forcefield Link got from the Great Fairy, or the Pokémon's own Thunder Waves. Most of them fainted, though. By the time he found the Silver Gauntlets, he saw Kaebora one last time; he was proud that he's growing up to be the Hero who'll save Hyrule, and he advised him that 2 elemental witches reside here, one ice, one fire, and they can be injured by deflecting their spells against each other. He wished him good luck and Nabooru was sucked into a dark void beneath the sands by those same witches, who happen to be Ganon's surrogate mothers!
Link was unfortunate to give her the Gauntlets like he promised, so there was nothing else to do but return to the future after finding out Nabooru's fate.
Reunited![]

Back in the future, Link returned to the Colossus and the Temple. With the help of the Gauntlets, he was able to shove a monolith aside and traverse into the Gerudo stronghold, as well as meeting a few new allies (Espeon, Alakazam along with the 3 Legendary Birds, the Electric-Types, Xatu, Slowking, Celebi, and Mewtwo) They helped him out immensely, even when he lost finding his way; he was actually intrigued by the large Goddess statue at the heart of the dungeon, even though the Pokémon think it's disturbing to Longshot to its breasts! Navi also said she looked evil. Sadly, the Psychic-Types could only do so much since they were in Ganon's stronghold, hence the darkness was becoming too overwhelming, even for the mentor.
Meanwhile, Zelda II woke up with her deflated stomach, she lost a lot of weight thanks to the operation caused by backed up toxic waste due to a bowel blockage, and she was off to the desert according to Malon and her comrades. Upon Rapidash, she sped up toward it, then she hesitated as she was nervous on entering unknown, aggressive territory since she heard of the Gerudos' reputation. Fortunately, she met up with Sheik, as she only needed to learn the Requiem in order to reach her destination. Relieved, she learned it, and she implored Rapidash to get Epona outta there if she sees her. Little did they know that Mew was watching on the meeting...

Zelda II was anxious on finding Link and her comrades, and she wonders if he could master on the skills of being a Pokémon Trainer; actually, it was thanks to Mewtwo that gave Link telepathic knowledge on what they were capable of and who they were. Needless to say, he caught on quick.
Eventually, he found the Mirror Shield, as well as confronted an Iron Knuckle with a little trouble; if it wasn't for Zapdos, things would've been more stressful. He finally found the way to the center passage thru the "goddess of the sands," but Mewtwo and the Psychic-Types couldn't traverse further. It was up to the Hero now, and he wished him luck before they departed.
He caught up to the 2 menacing witches, Koume and Kotake, as they sicced their own Iron Knuckle on him.
"Oh, loyal minion...!"
"Destroy this intruder on our behalf!"
??: Why don't you try destroying us on your defense while you're at it!?
From behind, the Trainer was back and better than ever! She and Link immediately took the offense and wiped out its armor seamlessly, revealing to be Nabooru brainwashed by the twin sisters! The former didn't know what the heck was going on, so as soon as they vanished again, Link and Navi explained everything. She was skeptical if a Gerudo should take their side. Nevertheless, she followed Link to the boss arena as the witches challenged him as a sacrifice to the great Ganondorf. In her rage, the Trainer summoned Articuno and Moltres into the fray, despite their disadvantages with the dry ice and lava attacks. The first fight was a bit tumultuous as Link had trouble balancing his shield against their onslaughts, but he managed thanks to the Legendaries, and vice versa.

But it wasn't over yet. Koume and Kotake "got serious" as they merged into one, known as Twinrova, much to Link's horror. Zelda II enraged to give them their worst, as she can still beat them! As rambunctious than ever before, she summoned Zapdos to gather her energy, while the other Birds kept Twinrova at bay, as well as reloading Link's Mirror Shield. They took the fight on easily, and the witches separated, while also having halos aloft. They started bickering, much to Zelda II's agony, and she shrieked her Birds to finish them! Moltres and Articuno let the rage loose on each opposing sis, and Zapdos made them explode with her Sky Attack into smithereens! The Trainer was ecstatic on what they can do, and she reunited with Link, saying to each other they're glad to be back. So, after a moment of recovery, they headed back to the Chamber.
It was indeed shocking that the treacherous Nabooru was chosen as the last Sage, a Gerudo of all kinds! She admitted she screwed up, but she promises to make things right for her people, and she gifted them the Spirit Medallion. She chose Raichu, Zapdos, and Alakazam as her guardians, but to mostly keep a watch over her. She wished to fall for Link, even when he was younger, much to the Trainer's disgust!

Then, all 5 Sages appeared, including Rauru. And as honor for him looking over Link for several years, he made a kowtow, then Zelda II followed. Rauru raised the Master Sword and declared the final battle has come and the blade's destiny shall be fulfilled in the hands of the Hero of Time, and may he pave the way to the Triforce. But before they did that, Zelda II requested for a little R+R; he gave them 24 hours.
The Final Battle![]
By the time their relaxation was over, they remembered Rauru saying someone's waiting at the Temple of Time. Sure enough, it was Sheik! He revealed that 7 years ago, Ganon entered the Sacred Realm and laid his hands of the Triforce, separating it into 3 parts: Power, Wisdom, and Courage. With only Power, his ambitions were not satisfied till he can find the destined ones with the other parts. The one that holds the Triforce of Courage was Link; though Zelda II was a tad shocked since he was known as the Hero of Time and the Deku Tree's child of destiny. And the other is the seventh Sage, the one that leads them all. Sheik glowed her piece and noticed Link's piece as he was dying by the darkness. And...
It was the Princess of Hyrule, Zelda!!
She apologized for hiding for seven years to avoid Ganon's detection, but Zelda II was ecstatic from that awesome stunt! She entrusted the Ocarina to Link as a kid, but she failed to know the consequences of evil entering the Realm; thus, their spirits were sealed away. In that time, she was raised by Impa, and her consciousness was sealed away till the time came. Now that he has returned, there's hope, and she implores for his courage one last time. The Trainer's Pokémon were storming to the castle awaiting orders, and Zelda gifted Link the Light Arrows! Only to be abducted!
She was trapped in an impenetrable crystal, not even Link can bash thru. Ganon intimidated him as a kid playing dress up, having dreams that're unattainable, and he should've killed him with the Great Deku Tree since he underestimated the kid and the Triforce of Courage. It dissipated, and Ganon dared them to go to his castle to save her and the Pokémon. The Trainer was enraged, but Link's shame snapped her out. Navi said he shouldn't blame himself, and they can get them back together. With her encouragement, and Zelda II's ambition, Link was underway, only to have the Market with no ReDeads this time around.

They came to the outskirts and Link was beyond shocked as he saw the Keep. That was till Zelda startled as she noticed all her Pokémon were missing and the Poké Ball keychain Mewtwo wore was left behind, signifying they could've perished against Ganondorf and fell into the massive lava pit below. Link assured her they can't be wiped out that easily, and he was certain that they could've been sealed away as Zelda was.
Rauru, along with Slowking, Girafarig, and the Mew duo, advised him to disable the six Barriers in order to enter Ganon's Keep. The Sages shall build a rainbow bridge, and they must save Zelda and the Pokémon. They traversed thru it, and with undying teamwork, they managed to get the Golden Gauntlets and dissipate the Barriers and rescue each Pokémon imprisoned in each. Mewtwo then sensed a Fairy Fountain outside, encased by a monolith, and he received an enhancement to his stamina and courage. With it, they returned to the Tower entrance, he hesitated, and the Trainer knew he must take on Ganon alone. She became emotional and gave each other a tight embrace, as well as her giving him a deep kiss for good luck. Then, he went without ever looking back.
He defeated the monsters throughout, including 2 Stalfos, 2 Dinofos, and 2 Iron Knuckles which he had to kill one at a time; again, it was thanks to Nayru's Love that got the job done. Then, he finally reached Ganon's Lair while also following the organ he's been playing; it was a way to lure the chosen 2 in with their pieces beginning to resonate. They were becoming one, and Ganon demanded to "return them" to him. Then, he unleashed waves of darkness separating Link and Navi!
Link confronted the King of Evil in a swordfight, then the warlock conjured a sphere of fatal energy in which they each kept deflecting, but as Ganon fell, Link diced him till he recovered. Sometimes even the Hylian would also get hit severely if he should strike too late. Later on, he conjured a large energy sphere in which Link deflected with a Spin Attack from the sacred blade, then he launched a Light Arrow into Ganon's gut, ending the battle. He was hyperventilating, never believing he was beaten by a kid...! He then made the room collapse before he did, and Zelda was free! Then, the tower started to implode on itself, and they hurriedly escaped. The regenerating Stalfos slowed Link down, then he was ambushed by a ReDead as they exited the Keep.

Only to be saved by a ravenous Houndoom! They went out and escaped in the nick of time. Everyone watched their pride and joy as Ganon was sealed under the rubble of his precious dungeon!
The Princess was relieved it's all over, and Navi apologized for not being involved in the battle. Then...there was a deafening boom from beneath and Ganon burst from his prison; with the Triforce of Power, he was given a second shot to attain the other pieces and used all its might to transform into a massive abomination known as GANON! With his pair of humongous blades and the firewall, Link lost the sword, and Navi declared they'll fight together!
Link was knocked down hard as he got out the Hammer, then he eventually recovered and evaded Ganon's swipes, seeing his translucent tail. He hit it a few times, the firewall descended, and he retrieved his sword. He repeated the process till Ganon was wounded, only to be hit by Zelda's Light magic and she implored him to deliver the final blow. The blade ignited and Link had flashbacks on all the crimes Ganon caused: from the death of the Deku Tree, the famine and the sacrifice of the Gorons, the frozen Zoras, the distress of his friends, and he let out all his anger as he sliced the beast, even protruding his skull! Ganon shrieked as Zelda and the Sages sealed him for good in the Evil Realm! But not as long as he holds the Triforce of Power.

Link succumbed to his injuries after he was praised by the Deku Tree while he was dying after the brutal showdown. He and Zelda were recuperating at the Great Fairy Fountain, and thanks to the Pokémon's recovering abilities, the Great Fairy restored their strength with the Triforce pieces, and the trio met at the Temple of Light. The Princess thanked him for everything, and peace will return for a time; however, she kept blaming herself on endangering Hyrule and dragged them into it, and in order to reverse everything, he must rest the Master Sword and close the Door of Time. Hence the roads between times'll be closed forever. Link actually blamed himself for all this and she got the Ocarina, and as a Sage, she transported them to the Temple, much to the Trainer's dismay as they'd never be remembered as heroes, but as jokes/imposters to everyone, and her Pokémon would be weak. Although there was some reassurance that they'd be stronger than they are now since they'd hone their skills more.
This was when Ikran's own timeline spilt, a time paradox occurring from the Adult Era; one tangent led to the events in the Child Era and the infamous Majora's Mask, while the other actually stayed in the Adult Era and The Lost Legend of Namira takes place.
Trivia[]
- Ikran thought of this story back in 2000, when she received Ocarina of Time several months after she was into Link from the first Smash Bros.
- Originally, she wanted her evolved Pokémon teams to be different; instead of evolving, she'd have say both Ivysaur AND Venusaur, or Pikachu AND Raichu; luckily, they changed for the better.
- At first, her favorite temple was the Shadow Temple, but later it changed to the Forest Temple since the latter was so difficult to navigate.
- She'd always love the Adult Era, whether it'd be for Link's epicness, weapons, changing equipment, dungeons, scenarios, or whatever else. Also, she likes Sheik more than Zelda; even when it came to SSBM. She also wishes she'd see more of Adult Link in other installments.
- The idea of Zelda II becoming fatally ill from a bowel blockage spell was based on Ikran's own experiences; like Zelda II, she had to have an operation, or rather some chest pressing, when she was 15 to remove the excessive toxic waste as she suffered from a bowel blockage.
- Ikran always wondered what'd be like if Link was brainwashed, so she came up with the Gerudo ritual and Mewtwo saving him; this was the first time that the mentor made an appearance.
- Having Link be brainwashed in his red tunic was a means to symbolize evil and match his eyes, and idea she had since childhood, in which Link'd show his sinister nature and persona much like Ganondorf's.
- She figured that the Gerudo'd be the best fit for using tribal methods since they use brainwashing magic that's rumored to be outside the desert, rather than just Koume and Kotake's witchcraft.
- Being that she hates Majora's Mask, she wanted OoT to have a time paradox; she always felt outraged when Link went back 7 years and despised Zelda for it! It was just as anticlimactic as the ending in Mewtwo Strikes Back.
- At first, she wanted to have Akari as the main Trainer and have her lose her memory, but she declined that.
- She came up with the name Zelda II from her role-playing with a close friend from her childhood; later, it became a way to tell the Trainer and the Princess apart.
- Some of the scenarios were inspired from MajorLink's animations, the 20th anniversary English Dub made by Zelda Universe, and the novelization of OoT from FF.net.
- Much like Zelda II, Ikran also lost her murdered mom since she was young, hence her feelings to Link as he discovered his.
- Ikran always thought there was a tombstone at Lake Hylia, thinking it'd be for Link's lost mom; she wishes it could be highlighted more as such.
- She never portrayed the Sages nor Navi to be dead, much like how the theorists believe. And she considers Navi to be helpful and more tolerable than any other guide in the 3D games; kind of like Jiminy Cricket and/or Tinker Bell in a sense, as stated in her Petites list.
- Ikran didn't include the Magic Beans, Farore's Wind nor the Ice Arrows, as she considered them all useless; she never thought of the Longshot as a letdown.
