Fan Fiction

Impa is the family name of several female members of the Sheikah, a mysterious tribe that has served and protected the Royal Family of Hyrule for many generations. Many Sheikah of the name so far have been associated with and taken on the role of accompanying an incarnation of Zelda, being like a bodyguard or attendant of sorts in some games. In addition, every Impa has given extensive information and guidance to the various incarnations of Link they encounter in their time.

In Ocarina of Time, Impa was born and raised in Kakariko Village, the village of the Sheikah. She was selected as Princess Zelda's attendant and likely left her village around that time, giving it to the people of other races. Though Hyrule Castle became her new home, she still kept a watching eye over Kakariko though, but most of her attention went to the young princess. Until Link came along, Impa was the only one who believed her visions.

Ikran's Lost OoT/Pokémon crossover[]

Sagespokemon

Impa with Houndoom, Umbreon and Sneasel

Impa was first seen as Link and Zelda II, after talking to the Princess and giving her the name, Impa noticed there was some potential in the 2, and they assigned them as the Royal Family messengers after she taught them their first Ocarina song, Zelda's Lullaby. She then escorted them out of the Castle and wished them luck on climbing Death Mountain and retrieve the Goron's Ruby. They were astounded how she disappeared with the Deku's Nut.

They didn't know at first, but seven years later, Impa was training Zelda to become a Shiekah, the last of them, Sheik. Although only the Trainer saw Impa inside the Chamber of Sages after she destroyed the phantom beast, Bongo Bongo, with her Dark-Types, Noctowl, and Misdreavus. Impa was impressed on her skills and courage, and shan't worry of Zelda nor Link's fate, as they appear safe at the moment. She gifted her the Shadow Medallion and wished her luck after she gave her the Pokémon Umbreon, Houndoom, and Sneasel; Murkrow was disappointed while he'd been turned down.

Later on, she appeared with the other Sages as they made the Rainbow Bridge into Ganondorf's Castle and soon sealed him.

The Lost Legend of Namira[]

There was a time split and Impa met up with Link and Zelda II at the Temple of Time where the Pedestal was. She asked if this was truly their will going back into the past permanently. They were so redundant afterwards, while Impa made sure she'd change Zelda's mind. She was also in charge of the reconstruction of the Market and the Castle Town, and she noticed Zelda II being sleepless. She began to remember sealing the Gerudo goddess, Namira, away, the same way how Bongo was also sealed. Impa also urged the royal to NEVER turn into Sheik, otherwise he'd be vulnerable to Namira's sway, as she did the same with Link. She then gave the Trainer a Poe potion, enabling her to be in a lucid dream, and soon tackling Namira with Mewtwo and Link. Impa assured Zelda II the Gerudo shall not retaliate and witnessed Link and Zelda accepting each other.

Brought Together, Torn Apart[]

Impa had witnessed Link and Zelda's relationship budding, after the fact he was turned down by the caretaker at Kakariko, or Malon. She then had a pep talk with Sheik and Zelda II who was devastated that Link chose the princess instead. They assured her that they'd been discussing with each other, and that it's up to Link to choose over his indecision. Eventually, he chose her as the best fit!

The Sheikah's Curse[]

Mewtwo did some DNA splicing at the New Island computer, and resurrected several Sheikah to repopulate the species, one of them was Tussee, which was an evil awakened. Impa recognized her, as well as Purah. At first, she got some snippets of her hair cut by shades, just to have enough to reawaken Tussee, even with the Lens of Truth and a sacrifice, which was Purah then Link replacing her. Impa went to the ruins behind Death Mountain, then she witnessed Link taking in the hypnotic gaze Tussee made. She confronted her, as she knew the evil Sheikah arts, and eventually defeated her while getting the Lens and Link back. She then took him to the Chamber of Sages to recover. Then, she informed Zelda II that Purah decided to leave Hyrule and go to the Pokémon World to become a Dark-Type Gym Leader; she too was so confident on being a Dark-Type specialist too, and she took on Zelda II's offer on using all her Ghost and Dark-Types.

Coronation and Dreams[]

She attended Zelda's coronation as queen, with Houndoom beside her, then she became a Ghost/Dark-Type elitist using all of Zelda II's Pokémon. Even being there presenting the newly built wooden izba to Link and the Trainer in Lake Hylia!

The Tribal Ceremony[]

Impa was chosen as one of the performers in the 2nd ceremony on account of her tribal Sheikah background. Even her partners, Sneasel and Weavile, and the Gerudo joined her. She became a watchful eye over the tribesmen, even Sheik. In the 3rd ceremony, she was commandeering with the Gerudo as she unleashed her enticing skills, even allowing Link and Sheik to mate with a Gerudo to repopulate both species.
