Ivysaur (フシギソウ, Fushigisou) is a Grass/Poison Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It evolves from Bulbasaur starting at level 16 and evolves into Venusaur starting at level 32.

Ivysaur was first seen at the Lost Woods after Link and Zelda II awakened from their seven-year slumber. He ambushed one Moblin as the Hylian was at its mercy, unleashing his Leech Seed and tackling it, before it was decimated as it tripped over Shuckle's shell. Ivysaur was one of the most versatile partners in the Forest Temple, even against the Stalfos! He evolved into Venusaur by the time he was able to absorb weak sunlight and destroy the undead knights while Link found the Fairy Bow.
The ReBoot Multiuniverse[]
Ivysaur was with his evolutionary line and Chikorita's as Megaframe was being liberated; he stuck with AndrAIa and Bayleef as they were attempting to rescue Phong from his imprisonment. Coincidentally, Akari's Ivysaur was nicknamed Groot, based on the character from Guardians of the Galaxy. He was one of few Pokémon in both factions that had been caught instead of cloned.
