Jade first appeared in the Mortal Kombat tournament held by Shao Kahn, where it is assumed, she was spying on the events unfolding for her than Emperor.
Jade is a loyal Edenian patriot and does not tolerate those who threaten her homeland. Like Kitana, Jade's origins were not from Outworld. She originated from the realm of Edenia, a realm conquered many years ago by the emperor, Shao Kahn. A longtime ally of the Edenian crown, and a close friend to Princess Kitana, Shao Kahn had her trained to be a proficient and formidable assassin under his command.

Biography[]
Mortal Kombat II[]
Jade can periodically be seen behind the central tree in the Living Forest. It's likely Shao Kahn employed her as a spy, mostly to the Earthrealmers.
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3[]
During the Earthrealm invasion by Shao Kahn's army, Kitana was sentenced to death after pleading guilty for treason and murdering Mileena during the events of the second tournament. She escaped Outworld and fled to Earthrealm. Enraged, Shao Kahn appointed Jade and Reptile to venture into Earthrealm and capture the princess. Jade was assured that Kahn wanted Kitana back alive, but Reptile was secretly told to bring Kitana back by any means necessary including death.
The two ventured into Earth to find Kitana. However, Jade found herself torn between loyally carrying out Kahn's orders and betraying her friend. She ultimately decided to help Kitana and thwarted Reptile's assassination attempt. With his defeat, the path was cleared for the two women to join Raiden and his Earthrealm Kombatants in the battle against Shao Kahn and his forces. Of immediate importance, however, was Kitana's personal mission to reach and warn the resurrected Queen Sindel about their true past together. Jade's assistance made that possible, with Sindel's memories recovered, she turned against the emperor. Shortly afterward, Shao Kahn was defeated by Liu Kang and Kitana went on to free Edenia from Outworld.
Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance[]
Jade attempted to join Kitana and her allies in the battle against the Deadly Alliance but had arrived too late to Shang Tsung's Palace and found her friend's body lying on the ground with the other Earthrealm warriors. Heartbroken, Jade knelt beside her fallen friend's side and noticed a large creature approaching. She then hid in the nearby shadows and watched as Onaga, the Dragon King, resurrected the bodies of Kitana and her fallen friends. The spell allowed Onaga to control the warriors, and he ordered his new recruits to regroup in the Living Forest.
Mortal Kombat: Deception[]
Jade followed the resurrected warriors in secret, only to discover that they had already invaded Edenia and held Queen Sindel prisoner. Finding her Queen guarded by the resurrected Kitana, Jade attacked Kitana and managed to trap her in a cage of her own while she freed Sindel. Kitana then began shouting for the guards to capture them, forcing Jade and Sindel to flee to the portal into Outworld. Before they went through the portal, Jade caught a glimpse of the traitor, Tanya, standing next to Onaga.
In Outworld with Sindel, Jade made it her personal mission to assist her Queen in rescuing Kitana from the Dragon King's spell and to seek justice against Tanya, who had betrayed Edenia once again.
Mortal Kombat: Armageddon[]
After Ermac and the spirit of Liu Kang successfully managed to free Kitana, Jax, Johnny Cage, Kung Lao and Sonya Blade from Onaga's influence, Onaga was soon incapacitated by Nightwolf's Sin Eater ritual, temporarily quelling any imminent danger to the realms. But unbeknownst to the heroes, was that a new, more fatal threat, was soon approaching. The fabrics of the realms was beginning to tear apart as the warriors all grew stronger, which would result in Armageddon. To prevent this, an Edenian half god known as Taven needed to defeat the firespawn, Blaze, and claim Blaze's power to nullify the strength of the warriors. But word had spread of Blaze's power, and the Forces of Darkness sought to acquire it.
Jade joined the Forces of Light in an attempt to stop the Forces of Darkness' efforts in defeating Blaze, the firespawn. Last seen in battle fighting her rival Tanya, she was eventually killed along with almost all the other kombatants, leaving Raiden alone to deal with an all-powerful Shao Kahn who eventually killed him and brought Armageddon to all the realms.
Mortal Kombat (2011)[]
Jade initially appeared at the side of Shang Tsung along with her best friend Kitana, watching from the sidelines as the tournament in Earthrealm took place. When Sonya successfully freed Jax from captivity in Goro's Lair, Jade and Kitana were ordered by Shang Tsung to prevent Sonya and Jax from leaving. Both of them faced Sonya in a two-on-one battle, but ultimately were defeated.
After Shang Tsung was defeated by Liu Kang, Jade is next seen as she returned to Outworld through a portal along with her peers.
Later on, Jade appeared in the Armory, finding Raiden, Jax, and Johnny Cage. Demanding that the intruders leave the restricted area, she engaged Jax in combat but was defeated by him before he continued on with his allies to save Sonya Blade. Shao Kahn later reprimanded Kitana during the second tournament after her failure to intercept the trespassing Lin Kuei warriors and ordered Kitana to leave the Colosseum. As her bodyguard, Jade followed Kitana into the Wastelands. Jade noted Shao Kahn's displeasure with Kitana's behavior and pleaded the princess to behave more accordingly, observing the fact that she had never seen him as angry with the Princess as he currently was. This enraged Kitana further, which prompted Jade to leave her friend alone, remarking that she would speak to Kitana later, once she was in more of a mind to listen. Her departure from the Wastelands was only moments before Raiden arrived and informed Kitana that the answers to her own doubts and suspicions would be answered in the Flesh Pits, a place Kitana was forbidden to go to.
When Kitana left to go to Shang Tsung's Flesh Pits, she called out to Jade, who she knew was following her through the Living Forest. Jade explained that she was told by the Emperor to prevent Kitana from entering the Flesh Pits and remarked that she did not question the Emperor's orders. Following this, she begged Kitana to turn back on her quest. Kitana refused to turn back however, and a battle began, from which Kitana emerged victorious. Leaving Jade defeated in the Living Forest, Kitana continued on to the Flesh Pits.
After the revelation of Mileena's birth, Kitana brought Shang Tsung before the Emperor, only to learn the truth about her realm of Edenia from Shao Kahn himself. As she was escorted out of the room by Tarkatan Guards, Jade emerged from the shadows, having been eavesdropping on the conversation the whole time. Realizing that her loyalty to Shao Kahn had put her best friend in jeopardy, Jade set out to make amends and free Kitana from captivity in the Tower. Entering the Armory, she encountered Baraka, who refused to let her go to the Princess. Comparing him to a guard dog, she openly mocked him before defeating him. As the Tarkatan insulted the Edenian race for their "lack of loyalty", Jade teased Baraka with a cryptic hint before stomping on his face, rendering him unconscious. Upon finding Kitana restrained by magic and protected by Sheeva, Jade continued to mock the Shokan both before and after she defeated her.
Jade and Kitana shared a brief moment of joy before they became aware of the guards that were following Jade. Kitana told Jade to find Raiden and ask for his help. Hesitantly, Jade agreed, and fled back to the Wastelands, where she was found by Mileena. Claiming there was to be a going away celebration for her "Sister" meaning capital punishment for Kitana; Mileena attempted to defeat Jade but was unsuccessful, which prompted Jade to remark that she was much more of a sister to Kitana than Mileena could ever be. With Mileena defeated, the Earth warriors approached. Seeing the defeated Mileena on the ground, Smoke mistakenly believed that Jade had just defeated Kitana. Before she had the chance to explain herself, Smoke attacked her, which resulted in Jade reluctantly fighting and defeating him. Jade informed the rest of the Earth warriors of Kitana's capture and her location, which encouraged Liu Kang and Kung Lao to go to save her.
Later, Jade joined the Earthrealm warriors during the invasion of Earthrealm. When the Lin Kuei cyborgs ambushed the Earthrealm warriors in the Temple, she assisted in defeating them. However, when Sindel arrived, Jade was one of the warriors who was killed by the empowered Queen as Sindel ripped her organs (possibly her heart) out of her body. Jade was last shown in the Netherrealm, resurrected with her soul in the possession of Quan Chi. She is last spotted when the Necromancer orders herself, Smoke, and Sub-Zero to attack the Thunder God. Raiden escaped before any battle could take place, leaving Jade trapped in the Netherrealm along with her other companions.
Mortal Kombat 11[]
Part 1: Mortal Kombat 11[]
During the siege, the Revenant Jade alerts Liu Kang and Kitana, the current rulers of the Netherrealm.
The time-displaced Jade was brought to this timeline by Kronika, along with Kitana and other Earthrealm warriors. She reunites with Kotal Kahn, who escaped the Flesh Pits. The revenant version of Jade confronts the past Liu Kang and Kung Lao in the Shaolin Trap Dungeon of the Wu Shi Academy and is defeated.
Jade and Kotal scout the Lost Hive of the Kytinn, believing it is where Shao Kahn is located. They are ambushed by revenant Jade and D'Vorah. She defeated them both.
After locating Shao Kahn at the Tarkatan Kamp, Jade fights Kollector, and then incapacitates the Tarkatans. As Kotal and his Osh-Tekk warriors prepare to execute the Tarkatans, Jade steps in, knowing how far he may go. She defeats Kotal, before they are both captured by Shao Kahn.
As Skarlet painfully drains Jade of her blood, her feeding is interrupted by the arrival of Kitana, held prisoner by two of Kotal's soldiers who wish to offer her to Shao Kahn. Liu Kang and Kung Lao rescue Jade, who then sadly inform how she and Kotal were captured, but the four are confronted by Baraka and his squad of Tarkatans. After being convinced, Baraka states that he would to be Kotal's trusted ally than the slave of Shao Kahn, in order to reconcile their future relations with Kotal. With the support of both Sheeva and Baraka, including Erron Black’s present self, Jade, Kitana and their allies storm the arena to save Kotal from execution. Jade healed Kotal after Kitana becoming Kahn of Outworld.
The Revenant versions of Kabal and Jade returns to ambush younger Jax and Jacqui in the ruins of Shang Tsung's Island, but somehow the Briggs easily defeated them.
With Kharon recruited, the younger Jax, Cassie, Jacqui, Raiden, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Kung Lao, Kitana, Sheeva, Jade, and Baraka lead a joint Earthrealm and Outworld task force to assault Kronika's Keep. Kronika desperately resets time by sculpting the hourglass back to its origin, causing the human counterpart to be affected by the temporal reversion. Inside Kronika's Keep, the revenant versions with Kronika's design of Kitana, Kung Lao, and Jade were eventually defeated by Fire God Liu Kang.
Part 2: Aftermath[]
The Revenant Jade was first seen in the Netherrealm, along with Kung Lao and Kabal as they gather their army to defend Kronika's Keep, while the time-displaced Jade from earlier, storm the arena to save Kotal.
With Kotal's spine broken by Shao Kahn, she brought him to the Soul Chamber. As she leaves, she finds Sheeva, Nightwolf, Fujin, and Shang Tsung. She was knocked unconscious by Sheeva, as they hurried to the Soul Chamber.
Meanwhile, the Revenants Kabal and Jade ambush Shang Tsung, Fujin, Nightwolf, and Sindel in the former's island ruins. Kabal is defeated by Fujin, while she was defeated by Shang Tsung. Later in the story, Jade was defeated by Sindel. After Shang Tsung, Sindel, and Shao Kahn breach the Hourglass, Revenant Jade fought Sindel, gets stabbed by her Kwan Dao, and dies along with Kitana.
Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks, Part II[]
Jade was usually seen in brief flashbacks on when Liu Kang and Kung Lao slayed her back at the top of Kahn's Tower in Outworld during their battle with the three Edenians including her, Kitana and Mileena. The former was only brainwashed by a holding spell from Kahn, while Mileena was only stunned during the scrimmage.
Mortal Kombat: Shinnok's Uprising[]
Jade caught up with Liu Kang in which he was about to be slain by the treacherous Tanya! She fought her off and explained to Liu her predicament: Jade appeared fully recovered along with Johnny Cage inside the Jinsei Chamber. Raiden had her and Cage in suspension for a couple years due to their extensive injuries. By the time Shinnok declared war onto the heavens and Edenia, Jade was assigned as the scout for the latter. She felt irritated as she recalled the brawl against him and Lao a few years ago. She confessed that maybe both she and Kitana were brainwashed by Kahn serving him... But since the Champion overthrew Shao Kahn, she became more confident. She offered to help and save her best friend and led Liu to the distant booming melee near the Palace.
Jade and Liu were ambushed by another wave from the Army of Darkness; however, they were saved by the sneaky reinforcements. Her staff and agility were vital, but the monk wasn't so lucky. Lao, Cage and nearby Saurians came to their aid. And she disregarded Cage's flirt. She then recalled Kung Lao which triggered both of their uneasiness. Liu broke off the quarrel and assured if it wasn't for her, he would've been dead by Tanya and her lethal trap. She then spotted Kitana, and the two Edenian women reunited like long, lost sisters! Aiko complimented on their reunion, though her face fell once the reckless Tarkatans broke their cover! Kitana then suggested to save the prisoners, which jogged Jade's memory leading the heroes to a hidden slab into the underground prisons. She and Kitana stuck with Liu Kang at the trifecta, until he heard distant screams. Realizing it was Kung Lao, he turned and ran as he kicked the metal door away from its hinges! He arrived too late as Raiden warned that Shinnok took Lao and Aiko into the Netherrealm. He offered the women to stay in Edenia while he and Fujin would assist the Champion to decimate Shinnok!
The team cheered upon Liu's, Raiden's, and Fujin's triumphant return. Jade was also one of the participants who offered her strength to Liu crossing over into the Netherrealm via Nightwolf's shamanistic abilities. By the time the heroes returned to China, Jade decided to check on the POWs who actually offered to extend their stay for a while. Aiko offered for her to find ways to improve Kitana and Liu's relationship since they were always distant. She took on the request on keeping an eye out on Edenia while Kitana should take a breather and spend more downtime with him. She could've sworn for the first time she saw the two kiss...
Jade along with the monarchs stated to Nightwolf that they must be more prepared for any future invitations from refugees, while also keeping in mind that only six realms exist, according to Raiden. Jade recapped Baraka's rage as they heard a hiss from below, when he came to after Raiden's incapacitation; he and his kind blew the cavalry's cover by rushing into the fray and refusing to wear Cobalt armor which would've neutralized Quan Chi's machinations and using the Amulet. The royals decided to exile the ravenous mutants to Outworld on a permanent basis as they'd been too difficult to control after all the clans of Edenia reunited for the war, but not till after they cleaned out the prison beneath!
She also recapped Mileena's failed revenge against Kitana. Mileena hid herself during the quarrel until it was just her and Kitana inside the throne room; she was jealous on never being the ruler of Edenia to which the Edenian replied she'd no right to rule it. Out of vengeance, Mileena uppercutted Kitana onto the throne in which, conveniently, there was a switch which forced the twisted sister into massive blades!
Jade had been enlisted as one of the esteemed protectors of Edenia!
Mortal Kombat: Vengeance[]
Jade was in the throne room with Queen Sindel, her best friend, Sheeva and Asgaarth as the latter announced they had visitors from Earthrealm. She was happy to see them, though she grew curious on Liu's whereabouts. Sonya and Nightwolf offered for his posse to leave Lao and Aiko behind. He broke the tragic news the Deadly Alliance returned from the Netherrealm, and killed Liu Kang save for his soul, as his voice boomed from the dragon amulet Raiden made and encased his soul anointing Lao as his retainer. She was surprised Onaga was about to be resurrected and how Sindel described Kahn usurping Edenia during his conquest after he poisoned the dragon. Nevertheless, Sindel was determined, and she enlisted her and Kitana to achieve the mission and not repeat past konflicts. She and Jade declared,
"Edenia is an idyllic paradise, where we are free from tyranny."
Jade still stayed by Kitana as the heroes embarked across the Wastelands; much to her dismay as Nightwolf pointed to the northwest detecting the Deadly Alliance. While fighting the Onis, Kitana was more defensive with her metal fans while Jade allowed for the offensive with her Razorangs. She then followed a sudden aftershock, and came up to Lao, Aiko and Bo' Rai Cho! She too was disgusted on him abandoning the Shaolin and being banned from the Academy, not even no longer looking out for Lao and Liu! She assured the Orientals they shouldn't be ashamed due to his fall from grace.
The heroes made it in the Lost Tomb, where the Edenians deciphered the ancient native language of Onaga's undead army waiting to be reawakened. She watched as Lao drew Moloch, along with Drahmin, into the fray as she and other Kombatants were bothered by the latter's fly swarms. Jade dreaded the team would have to traverse thru the Sarna Ruins, and she was surprised they hadn't encountered any of the Tarkans. She believed they'd be waiting for them by the time they should wander into Quan Chi's trap, as warned by Drahmin, but at least they wouldn't have to cross over the Blood Sea as they'd journey thru the Wastelands.
Jade answered Johnny's query that the main reason that badland was more lethal than her territory was because of the nasty sandstorms and tornadoes wreaking havoc. The journey wasn't much of an issue for her, though the heroes became weary after a while, until they spotted a random cyclone! Kung Lao disabled it, and he was caught by an invisible field; in which it happened to be Kenshi's psychokinesis! She was impressed on what he could do despite his blindness! But things got compromised when Aiko noticed the distant drums... Kitana and Jade identified them belonging to the Makeba tribe, ruled by Konga! The group chased Aiko to the Drum Arena, and the Edenians mentioned he'd challenge the Kombatant in a duel, even at the event of a tie between two other fighters! Kenshi took him on and broke Aiko free from his thrall while stealing the Dragonfly! They escaped to their next destination.
Jade still stuck with Kitana, even when the Dragonfly landed next to the dormant volcano as the cryomancers and the Special Forces scouted for Cyrax. Jade even witnessed a couple Outworld nomads invade it and assault Aiko, only to be saved by the Tarkatan leader, Baraka! She was surprised he was willing to join the cause, especially when he abruptly went back in time after he and his kind were being mangled by her future self, even serving Kitana Kahn!
Jade was impressed on how Lao thought quickly as he teleported nearly everyone off deck of the doomed Dragonfly. And she dreaded of the secret Sun Do phenomenon of the Soulnado the Deadly Alliance would use. Kitana stuck with Jade as the mutants got their fans full till Raiden and Fujin aided the team!
Jade agreed with Kitana that Lao needed a wingman against the Deadly Alliance; Liu and Nightwolf volunteered, as she was thankful that Outworld shall no longer live in peril of the demonic duo, not even the Sun Do.
Jade was with the Edenian and Shokan royals, and she wondered if Onaga would be resurrected as Raiden theorized. Even when Baraka wondered what became of Reptile.
While Ikran hates the NRS games, she was inspired by her roleplaying friends on Twitter! One of them was Baraka, who became a close ally and trainer to her OC, Aiko! Deeply fascinated by their friendship, she decided to add Baraka in as he abruptly traveled to the past like Aiko did, albeit more recent; while there, he served Kitana Kahn along with the Tarkatans and Shokan till they'd been massacred by Jade's corrupt future self.
Return of the Dragon King[]
Jade stood before Kung Lao and Hanzo beside Sindel and Asgaarth. She was anxious to rescue Kitana since she was one of the Kombatants caught in Raiden's explosion, and since Onaga had the tendency to revive the fallen as zombies, according to Hanzo. She was volunteered to go with Sindel and the royal guard and investigate the Lost Tomb for Onaga's remains.
Sindel, Jade and the royal guard made it to the Lost Tomb. And after traversing thru some thick lumps of dust left over by the decimated sarcophaguses and dead flies, they discovered Onaga's resting place still intact. The lid was open, and the skeletal remains stood out. The Edenians came to the conclusion that it was left by Onaga's followers to revive him in his original form if he should perish. Before they made plans to destroy it, the knights were attacked! In emerged Tanya as well as the corrupt Kitana by her side!! Sindel was too stunned to fight her own daughter that she only defended herself with her Kwan Do and basic punches and kicks; she even went thru an exorcist by Nightwolf on removing the banshee from her body, thus disabling her flight and sonokinesis. Sindel was weakened while Jade mopped the floor easily with the traitor. Even she was little match for Kitana's ferocity, till she was caught and viciously tossed back by Ermac's soul kinesis! Sindel was still stunned, until Aiko and Ermac were able to restore the Edenians and troops. Kitana was the first to come to and... reunite with her long-lost father, King Jerrod!! Sindel couldn't believe it, until he affirmed his identity; she was just as tearful as her restored daughter was...
Eventually, everyone gathered their bearings and made plans to stop Onaga while his original remains were being burnt by Liu's spirit. She needed to buy Kung Lao and Hanzo time to gather Champions from all the realms, and the Kombatants must prevent the dragon to collect the last Kamidogu. Liu offered to head to Earthrealm, then Kenshi made the portal to its prior location in China, which was close to their destination! Sindel, Aiko, Jade, Kitana, Kenshi, Liu, Jerrod and the knights marched thru it.
The heroes arrived at Liu's Tomb and Kitana and Jade wondered who the Edenian Champion should be. Fortunately, Jerrod came to the conclusion that he should impersonate him since he was the collector of souls! By the time he found and used his identity, Jade heard Kitana and Sindel grow bewildered, wishing him to return safely. Jade still stuck with the group as they went north blindly, hoping to find the Temple of Elements, although it was thanks to Fujin who teleported them there. She was one of the bystanders as she met Li Mei and witnessed the revenant Johnny be thrown down a ditch by the Edenian knights. She still stayed with her best friend and the other Edenians as Kenshi and Aiko left for disturbances emanating from the Wu Shi Academy.
She was relieved when they returned, however, she was unable to hold off the erratic Johnny from reaching the last of the Kamidogu. Until he was abruptly halted by Ashrah when he was stabbed by Kriss. She wondered what that mantra Kitana muttered was, and she also regretted on surrendering the Outworld Kamidogu to Shujinko when he bested her in battle within the Living Forest...
Still, as Aiko sensed the bad welfare of Kung Lao thru her heart gem, she, Jade and the others monitored the battle in the Nexus against Onaga. Jade saw Lao, Liu, Jerrod, Havik and Hanzo triumph! She was soon escorted to Raiden's Sky Temple where she waited on the summit for the recovery of her compatriots. Jerrod and the infantry were fully recuperated, and Lao and Liu were the last... It was a tumultuous process as Nightwolf, Raiden and Fujin orchestrated the spiritual transition and cleansing. She was relieved the Shaolin made it out alright and were labeled as the Champions of Mortal Kombat as well as the saviors of all the realms.
Final Kombat[]
Jade was with the Edenian royal guard as Sheeva and Goro made a decision to have the Shokan relocate to Australia and start anew. She was unsure of the decision, even before Kintaro invaded the throne room. Jade was also uncertain he should join their ranks as he may be a mole for Kahn... As he functioned as one herself in the past.
She was, however, confident if there's anyone she wishes to wipe out during Armageddon, it's her old nemesis, Tanya. Everyone agreed they should take out their enemies one at a time before reaching Blaze.
After the Edenian soiree, Jade teamed up with the other Edenians, although she was still preoccupied over Kitana's absence. Nevertheless, she boarded the new Netherwing with the heroes and combatted against Tanya. They seemed to be in even footing until Blaze unleashed its fury amongst the Pyramid! Thanks to Fire God Liu Kang's fire cocoon, she was protected! She was also revived from Cetrion's tears producing a downpour.

Taven and Jade
She wanted to congratulate Taven on attaining godhood for Edenia, even a peck on the cheek, symbolizing their love. She still functioned as a close ally to the Special Forces against Kotal and his new threats several years later; it's likely she and Taven conceded an Edenian with yellow-green armor!
Trivia[]
- Eventually, Jade's voice role was decided as Becky Gable since her role in Shaolin Monks; Ikran was unfamiliar with Jade and MK4, so eventually Becky would be labeled as her ideal VA.
