Jecht ['dʒɛktʰ] is a non-player character and a reluctant antagonist in Final Fantasy X. He is Tidus's father, was one of High Summoner Braska's legendary guardians, and a major blitzball star in his hometown. Jecht is a tall, muscular man with a tendency to drink heavily. He wields a large black sword in battle.

Jecht only showed up near the end with Golbez, after Firion managed to defeat the Behemoth and drove the warlock to Hell. He was undoubtedly impressed with all the Cosmos warriors, and he would've done just as well as them. Although he still treated Tidus like an outcast. Then the Keep collapsed, and eventually he disappeared saying goodbye to Tidus and Yuna. He wound up in the Farplane.
